1. Whenver I know that Dinah was running an event I knew it was going to be professional and classy. It has always been a pleasure serving alongside you.
2. 43 year old nerd in Boise, Idaho.
For money, I do tech support for Hewlett-Packard on the Navy and NASA contracts.
For work I try to help create a better community. For example, I run a support/social group for GLBT teens. Every Sunday from 4-6 Mountain Time since October 1999. That's why I can't make the usual Hamidon raids then.
I also serve on the boards of The Community Center, and allies linked for the prevention of HIV and AIDS in Boise.

Just doing what I can to try and make the world a little better place than I left it.

Farewell

Witty, Cobalt, Budweiser, etc. and dare I say it.. Lord Stryker.

I will miss all of you. Our adventures were the stuff of legends. Were there songs or ballads to sing of our exploits and struggles.

Perhaps I will write some.

So if you folks come across some homeless guy in a tattered superhero suit singing "Its all about the Hami-O's" or "Bloody Bay Blues" throw me some change, would you?

<hugs>

Farewell

New Pet Shop Boys single from their album Elysium that kind of fits how I feel today about this:

Farewell

NCSOFT just made a 43 year old man cry.

We will have to get it in some extra playtime this weekend and throughout the remainder of the year - need to run at least one more Hamidon Raid, and run some battles in Recluse's Victory, as well as some fights in Bloody Bay.

<sigh>

Farewell

Curse you Nemesis!!!!!!!
7. I will try to bring Control Queen (Mind Control/Empathy) and maybe some alts as well.

With Masterminds, do pets count against the badge if they are hit by the obliteration beam?

Hamidon Raid

Bah. I run a youth group on 4-6pm Mountain (6-8pm Eastern) every Sunday. I really really miss Hami Raids. I remember when Lord Stryker used to grief them - thats how old I am on the server
9. Iconoclasts base is available to use if necessary - we have the mission computer and group telepad available. Punch and Pie will be served.

11. Global Name: Control Queen
SG/VG Name: VG: The Iconoclasts
SG or VG?: VG
Availability:June 24th - will try to be available tonight if my meeting lets out early.
Base Description: Nice medium sized base with all of the amenities available. If you have your graphics turned up you can see the 'water feature' I made with the arcane group teleporter. Lots of little touches here and there that I think you will enjoy.
12. Thanks for leading it! It was fun, well planned and in fact took twice as long to organize that execute but all good plans do it seems. Thanks again!
13. Hello folks!

A new Science Based SuperGroup has opened its doors for recruiting on Freedom.

Wardenclyffe Tower is accepting members.

We would prefer science based heroes based on famous scientists, but all are welcome.
We have plenty of prestige for now but we do need some Supergroup badges so we can build the SuperComputer and get all of the exploration badges for the telepads.

send an ingame tell to IsaacNewton, Lord Kelvin, or Nikola Tesla Jr.
You can get a free tour of the base and there is no pressure or requirements. It is a great SG for occasional alts.

Global is @ControlQueen
14. Thank you to all those who led and planned the raid.

It was my first on the Red Side. I can't make the blue side ones anymore due to other commitments on Sunday night (<sigh> I remember the days of almost nightly Hamidon raids.. Control Queen was completely hamied out.. now all are gone in favor of IO's).

Anyway, I brought Minion Man and was thrilled to know that all I had to do was to dash my robots against Hamidon. <sigh> Sacrificing minions.. is the ANY problem it can't solve?

Thanks once more and I will definitely try and be at the next one - hopefully with Control Queen's counterpart Dominate Diva.
15. The Avatars of Avarice are also recruiting.

No requirements other than to not beg for PL'ing, play fair (but not nice- we are EVIL remember?), play in SG mode when ever possible (so we can earn infamy and get supergroup badges/unlock base items) and have fun!

The base has plenty of power and control, plenty of storage (we can add more), a Mystic Crucible/Supercollider for buffs, Mission Computer for Silver Mantis Strike Force, Aspect of the Pillar, teleport pads to all zones (including Pocket D and Rikti War Zone), personal vault, crafting table, and medical reclamator.

Reply to me here or in-game to Minion Man, Aphid, or Dominate Diva.

Fun Tanks?

Tanker Tuesday?

AtomSmash smash puny server!
17. I'm 36, soon to be 37 (Depeche Mode is playing for my birthday next Wednesday!). I am an IT specialist for Hewlett-Packard. I run a youth group for GLBT teens and a few public access shows as well as help with various groups working to change Idaho's image as a 'hate state'. (Ada County Human Rights Task Force, The InterFaith Alliance, Your Family, Friends & Neighbors, inc, etc. )
I play whenever I can - usually in the evenings when I get home from work and don't have a meeting to go to. I play Control Queen (and Dominate Diva on the CoV side) just for reaction and for Hami raids. I find I enjoy playing defenders as its just in my nature to want to help:
FF/Energy Defender Braniac5
Rad/Rad Defender AmbushBug
Kin/Elec Defender Kid Kinetic
Inv/SS Tanker AtomSmash
Fire/Fire Blaster The Fthlamer
Sonic/Sonic Defender Warble

I want to do a few 'sons/daughters of Green Arrow/Black Canary' with Sonic/Archery combinations just for fun.
18. one thing I've noticed the past few raids is getting tells from folks I've never met before asking me if the raid is still going on and at what phase it is at.

At first I was polite - but then.. I got wise. Last night I got a tell from someone with the above question and I did a quick "find member". The hero was a lvl 50 sitting around in Peregrine. I told him it was underway and within a few minutes he was in the Hive. I looked him up a few more times and he was still in the Hive but nowhere near Hami. I only saw him running in to take a swipe at hami during the melee phase and then he left in the direction of the entrance.

I may be wrong, but I believe most of these people are leechers who just do a search of who is in the Hive- and it has to show a HUGE list if the raid is going on so there is no way for them to NOT know if the raid is underway. In the future, I am just going to ignore any more tells like that unless they are from people I know. Anyone who has done a few raids knows to get their tail into the Hive and help out. Anyone else is just a leecher who is even too lazy to come to the Hive for a chance at a Hami-O and has to ask the folks who are doing all the work to tell them if it is 'worth their time' or not to make the trip.
19. Hurrah for the guide, Marut. I wish there was a condensed version for folks to read it right before the Hami Raid as a refresher or introduction.

It would be nice NOT to be able to blame people.. but its difficult when I see a hero facing completely away from the current mitos target and shooting randomly (his excuse:" I can't see the target so I'm just shooting at what I can see") AND a spines scrapper using Quills (his reasoning: 1) "Quills are NOT AOE" 2) "the cone range of Quills is so small it really doesn't matter" 3) "I like Quills") and last night I saw several ice blasts coming out of the blanket heading DIRECTLY for Hami.

I also see folks using shadowfall, invincibility, and other toggles. I would like to imagine they genuinely think they are helping. I don't know if they are deliberately trying to grief the raid or if noone has gone over what IS and ISN'T helpful in the raid. (example: an invised blaster coming up behind me during the holding phase and throwing caltrops and web grenades) I also have witnessed people joining a critical team and then phase shifting and just wandering around Hami. Its one thing to Leech from a distance, but to pretend to actually be on a team in the blanket is quite another.

I am also suprised at the number of people who don't understand the concept that our biggest enemy is LAG (followed closely by Hami, of course). The use of each power must be weighed on the benefit (damage/hold/buff/debuff) vs the lag created. I heard a a non-controller complaining in the last raid :"why wasn't his hold good enough" for the holding phase. The concept that the MORE heroes in one area using powers creates MORE lag didn't register with him (or her). As the guides explain, if the controllers aren't cutting it, then other AT's with holds are called in as the benefit of their hold vs lag has now gone up.

To be honest, I credit our experienced and organized raid leaders for getting us through each night, despite people's best intentions that have resulted in garnering a LOT of Hami aggro the past few raids.

On the plus side, I now know the max debt cap for lvl 47 (770K) and I can now do my missions and story arcs without fear of outlevelling them

Evil

Hmm.... Possible Killer Mime Powersets..

Walking against the wind
-- some version of resist with extra Knockback resist.

Invisible Rope
-- Grabs a foe and pulls them back toward a targetted area

Invisible Box /wall
-- similar to detention field/force bubble but does DoT as it gets smaller.

Mimicing
-- copy whatever attack/defense you have for a limited time (with a reduced damage/debuff/etc.)

Mime Mesmerization
-- mime begins an elaborate routine that people become entranced by. Possible sleep or hold variations of this as well both individual and group.

General Annoyance
-- kinda like Swarms but only more irritating and painful

Aggro Magnet (as all Mimes in real life are)
-- similar to taunt

Although Mime's attacks are rather powerful, you can try to negate them by donating influence.. but there is a chance that such an act will only draw more mimes to your area.
