Ok Rad healers when your immobilized your healing is moot! You are an ice cube waiting to be crushed, and nothing more. All Scrappers, and even blaster gotta get thru a 3 layered attack of damage, slowness, and immobilization. Not even counting if youve an elusive Ice Blaster. Its not fun just getting shot down from arfar. Fire blasters LOL @ them all. The most overrated blaster is the fire blaster.

Im simple, but right. I wasted 50 lvls playing a Broadsword Invulnerablity, and was blaster candy. What can really give a correctly built ice blaster trouble in PvP/ One answer - another Ice Blaster!

I have gotten a total of 5 of these as rolls pre i14. Gave one to a friend and have the rest saved in base for respecs I hope to eventually get around to.

The most skippable power for pvp is the rez. And dependent on if you're a mastermind or not, the second most skippable power is enforced morale. Especially with the coming recharge change with i14.

Then arguably the next power you can afford to lose is share pain because in a Player vs. Player enviroment doing anything that limits your ability to directly heal yourself is bad, even if it's a great heal.

Though truth be told I hardly ever use it on my mastermind anymore.

So that's three powers you can skip (on a mastermind) before letting go of anguishing cry. Now, on a corruptor, one could still argue that conduit of pain can be skipped before anguishing cry. You don't need a rez in the arena, and hitting the hospital isn't that bad in zones.

I am a corr. Skipping the rez is really a no brainer. Skipping share pain seems pretty absurd. If I was thinking it was skippable I would have just rolled another therm. And saying a perception power is skippable seems wrong as well. Like I said the most skippable thing I saw was anguishing cry, debuffs aren't really that great and its pbaoe. The toon will be mostly for zone lulz.

So I have been leveling a pain dom up on Freedom of late. As I was poking mids I kept coming up one power short of being able to fit in everything I wanted. The most skippable power I saw was anguishing cry and was curious how people though about skipping it on a pvp build. I would post my build but I am stuck at work and just killing time.

not too long ago a friend of mine told me and a few of the other people we hang out with about some guy at a club she goes to trying to hit on her.
The way he went about it though was by trying to convince her that he plays a game called city of heroes where he "owns" a zone called "bloodied bay" with his dual blades/fire scrapper.
Keeping in mind she used to play here and pvped a bit she starts talking to him about it some to see just how full of [censored] the guy is.
Come to find out that he is absolutely convinced dual blades is the end all be all best pvp set in the game merely because it's got 2 blades, not 1.
there was much lolzing made over this by the rest of us.

You have never been able to power boost the defense frozen armor. Anything with a plus resistance on it gets flagged to ignore pb. And guess what, hoarfrost has a +res component as well and is not effected either. The good news is these powers aren't effected by -special either, but that still doesn't make power boost good.

Boost range is seriously THE reason to go em, power boost thanks to dr is almost a worthless power choice.

In pvp tk thrust is actually a better attack than mind probe.


And thanks to the wonky nature of fear effects in this game and the defiance bonus it adds scare is a really good power.
