I find it funny that people that log their characters in and do nothing to get certain badges are complaining about badges where they have to do half the work to do nothing to get them. People will truly complain about anything.
And what is it with people wanting to be the first to have all the badges or being so glad that they have more than someone else? Who gives a crap? The only one cares is you. I wish people would understand that the only competition between players in MMO games is in PvP. -

Looks like a good system. 1 year for all the badges seems like a pretty straightforward design. Shouldn't be too hard to do, particularly if you have a lot of alts. Two thoughts:
- What's the unit these are tracked in, or, more specifically, what "counts"? If I log off for an hour do I get 1/720th of a badge or do I have to be logged out for a full day?
- Fashion Designer seems a little wrong the villain side simply because of the flavor of their Tailor. Plastic Surgeon or ID Maker seems a little more fitting.

of course its not hard but im being penalized for playing the toons i want these badges on

No, you're not penalized at all. This is purely optional. So if you insist on playing a single character 24-7, then you won't earn progress on anything.
Of course I think most people have more than one character, and many work, sleep, and eat, so they'll earn these automatically by just going along as normal.

/signed. It balances everything out. Hell, my main has all the hero side accolades, but he got them at level 50. So I he doesn't get take advantage of them when he exemplars at all.

This is a reply to the people who think powers should be renamed for the new weapon skins. Perhaps "Katana" and "Ninja Blade" should be changed to Medium Blade, and "Broad Sword" to Heavy Blade? I say "Medium" blade becuase light blades to me are daggers, short swords and etc.

I was wondering about this myself actually. Katana/Ninja Blade could become "Martial weapons". -

Oo lordy...even if I do hope battleaxe, which wasn't mentioned, will be customizable tooNot that there's a thing wrong with my trusty mystic axe, but the ability to make it more amazing would be killer. Wonder if 'silly' choices are among the possibilities? Okay, so maybe it wouldn't/shouldn't be possible to turn the axe into a Stratocaster, but...

I see the Correspondents as slowing down the process, not smoothing it out.

Do they sit around playing the game to raise influence?
[/ QUOTE ]
That's basically it. They hire kids to play the game and collect inf and then they resell it to suckers. Those are the big operations though. There are however just individuals out there that do it as well. I knew a guy that played EQ and made good money just leveling up characters and getting all kinds of loot and selling the accounts. -

I wonder though if someone buys items from one of these merchants do they get banned also?
[/ QUOTE ]
They should because all they are doing in encouraging them. -

I must be either sheltered or not in game when these happen.
Has anyone noticed a patern concerning server/time/day?

I have started to get in-game tells from one about 2 or 3 days ago. I petitioned them in game last night. First time I have ever petitioned anyone. -
<qr> now I have to get my TA defender past level 11.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Lawyer was probably a little too specific and scientist as well. Maybe if they were pools like Genius or Debator.
Debator could encompass poeple that are lawyers, politicians, business men, etc, etc... Just depends on how the power would work out, Merchant could, however, cover these as well in some cases. Of course there could be some cross over between BGPPs that makes it little harder for a player to decide how they want to flesh out their character. Or another possibility could be to allow players to select multiple sets, maybe up to 2 and they can advance. who knows... I like this idea. It could work out very well, plus we need more non-combat, roleplaying mechanics IMO. -

I like it. Needs a little tweaking, but it is a very good start. I do agree with Empress on the fact that these selections should be outside the realm of power pools, since they are not really "power", but are defining qualities about your character and they help to influence your abilities as a hero/villain.
Once the inventions systems goes live with I9 this idea will start to fit more into the game I think. There are more back grounds that could be selected (ie: Scientist, Engineer, Laywer, etc, etc...) that could work with the new system.
