  1. It seems to me that a decent idea for AE would be to give 1/2 XP as in normal missions. That would slow down the PLers, keep the story tellers happy, and be in line with the whole concept in that, while I might learn fro a virtual training experience, I'm most likely not going to learn as fast as I would in a real life scenario.
Patrol XP could earn you full xp, and debt would mean you earn none until it's paid off.
Anyone care to pick the idea apart?
  2. OK, fine, if you have an AT that's capable of doing damage fast enough, that's great, but when I can be heavily buffed and throw absolutely everything I have and barely scrath the boss, that's just not fair, nor is it fun to waste all that time. I'm just saying, temp powers that are part of the current story line should be exempted from challenge settings, would that be bad?
  3. After going to many costume contest, I noticed that it's very hard to get a good look at some of the finer details of other players' costumes. It seems it would be fairly simple to add a rt-click option that would center the camera on another player so that you could look at him/her up close as if it were your own toon. With such a steller character creator as this game has, there should be ways to enjoy it and the creativity of others.

Then you dont have to worry bout walking all the way up close to someone, adjusting the angle, zooming in and out, etc.
  4. It sure would be nice if I knew that a challenge setting would make an arc impossible to complete. Specifically I am talking about an experience today with the To Save a Soul arc. I took the No Temp Powers challenge. Turns out that in order to defeat the final boss of the arc, you NEED the temp power awarded in the mission before. So that was over an hour of my life wasted.
Just a warning before accepting the arc or maybe allow NECESSARY temp powers to be used with that challenge setting. Am I being unreasonable?

may have a foundation in history, it is very likely they will not match up directly because our game is fictional.

Then I must ask, why not make up new names? Based on the few screenshots I have seen, the The Tuatha De Dannann (spelling difference) were not monsters but men and women. Nuada of the Silver Hand, Lugh, Dagda? This seems to have been totaly ignored. I would rather you make up new mythologies and names rather than take very broad poetic license with existing mythologies.

These names and people do conotate certain expectations in people's minds and you risk alienating those folks because of playing fast and loose with people's histories and cultures.

Yes, how dare someone make things up about things that are...er...made up...

I'm guessing the Simpsons (So my subconcious is telling me).

Oh and with the historical innacuracies thing? U-721 (Or whatever it was called), the Americans DIDN'T crack the enigma device... <working himself into a good frothy frenzy now.... snik>

Uh, yeah we did. Thats not how it happened, but the enigma device was cracked.

Now Braveheart... There's some historical innacuracies for you!)

What the HELL are you talking about??!?!?! That was a DOCUMENTARY. Brilliantly done. Verbatim about what happened. I can't believe they found actual video footage of all of that in such great detail.

I just wish the guy documenting all of this would have helped out once in awhile...but I guess if he was a true historian, he didn't want to alter any outcomes.

    ARRRGHHH...

That film drives me nuts, especially when whoever I'm playing with, when they find out Im Scottish, immediately says, "I liked Braveheart".

    NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo....

I live not 100 yards from Stirling Bridge, where was the bridge in the film... WHERE WAS THE HUGE [censored] SWAMP IN THE FILM!!!

    <pant, pant, pant>

    Sorry, but gah!

    Anyway back on topic...

I'm fairly sure North America (And I suppose Canada from the maps they showed at the time) didn't fight off an invasion of Snow-man like creatures recently...

(Or maybe the Canadians did... damn PLed hockey players!)

    Egor.

I can sympathize. I grew up in Fargo, ND and now like about an hour away in Jamestown ND. Anytime I mention that fact, I get the response "I loved the movie Fargo!" Man does that piss me off. First, the movie was filmed mostly in Minnesota about 3 hours from Fargo, and secondly, no we don't talk like that. People from tiny little farming communities have a tendency to speak like that at times, but for the most part we speak pretty normally.

Spent 6 horrible, horrible years stationed in Minot. Jamestown? I'm sorry, you poor, poor [censored].
I think that little speck on the map still has more good looking women than Minot though.
  8. Totally!
I looked on my map today, and do you know what I found out? There IS no Paragon City in Rhode Island!
And then, when I told my history professor about the Nazi Invasion of America during WWII, the whole class laughed at me!
I think a certain gamemaker has been telling fibs!
  9. How could it hurt the sidekicks? You need to stay close to keep the SK bonus anyway, so whats the difference?
  10. When I hear a large prize announced, i'll l,og and go grab my cc go-to toon. He at least places in every contest beacause he's so badass looking, lol.
  11. This may have already been brought up, but I dont have time to read 70 pages.
Why not just impose the XP leash on team members 3 lvls lower or more?
That way a true balanced team doesnt have to worry about losing xp when split up. And it also hurts the PLers, so everyone wins.
  12. The Tuatha de Dannan and the Fir Bolg? Weren't they ancient Irish clans? Why are they monsters?

I was also hoping for power customization. I'm tired of blue energy bolts everywhere I look!
Is this even on the list of features to come?
