I support this idea in all it's glory. I have had to facepalm so many times when in teams that my forehead hurts from excessive facepalming, mainly when Scrappers with shields think they're Tankers.

This isn't World of Warcraft and i don't think CoX is trying to be. The reason i came back to this game is that it didn't try to copy World of Warcraft's every move like most other MMOs do and taking the idea of Post boxes would be a step in the wrong direction.
I give this idea a... well, a slap.

After seeing the suggestion by TenshiYami of base items, i thought about it through the eyes of a developer; they're not exactly going to give out nifty little decorative things for free, are they? Look at the cyborg and wedding pack, they were sold for a price.
Anyhow, down to the suggestion; i propose that new base can be gained through the purchase of booster packs in which anyone who has the ability to access and edit the base will be able to place these items (through a cost of prestige ofcourse).

Different themes could be added to each seperate pack and could be based around seperate zones, for example Pocket D.
With a Pocket D themed base item booster pack it could include all the wall and floor textures, items (such as the hanging cages) and lighting effects.
There could then be one based on the Midnighter's Club, Arachnos theme and even a themed pack to compliment the Wedding costume pack.

EDIT: It could also be free if the developers were feeling nice? And Golden Girls idea of holiday themed base items would also be brilliant.

Bah, i can't do that seeing as there's not here (suprise, suprise that's why i started the thread) so I end up putting other decent games over WoW, yet they have a whole row of about 24 copies dedicated to WoW.

Today throughout the snow, i thought it'd be a good idea to just check around the game stores in my local high-street to see if they stocked City of Villains/Heroes.

Firstly, i went to GAME and scanned the shelves; they had none in stock. I also asked the staff and they confirmed there was none and hadn't been for quit some time.

Disappointed by the outcome of GAME, i decided to head down to Gamestation and to my suprise they also DIDN'T have it in stock. Following this, i visited two independent game retailers who obviously didn't have them but i checked anyway and i was right.

Now i noticed posts on the US forums about how the "userbase is shrinking" yet one of the reasons why is that they have it nowhere! How are you supposed to market a product and sell it if customers cannot find it? Yes there is the alternative of downloading it but you can't expect everyone to have the patience to wait for it to download, can you?
This obviously needs to be sorted out.

I was looking around to see if i could find City of Heroes Collector's Edtion online yet on all of them they said "US import". Now, am i led to believe that this collector's edition is for US only or is there no continent based collector's editions and the game code can be used around the world?

Just a quick question here; i went into a local game store today and found he had the collector's edition of City of Villains for £6, which i obviously bought and scrambled home with it, laughing like a small child at my success of finding one cheaper than the NCSoft Store.
Anyhow, i currently have the Combined Edition of CoX and was wondering whether the Activation Card that came with the CoV CE will allow me to activate it on my current NCSoft account and gain an extra month?
Oh, and an extra question; do the free months which accompany the purchase of the game count towards veterancy badges?

Got from 18-31, i was only aiming for 20 on the weekend but i'd hit 20 on Thursday and then woke up Friday and dragged myself into it.

I believe the profanity filter is not needed, as i have yet to see anyone swear!

Just thought i'd introduce myself on the forum, you may have seen me bombing around Cap Diable, i'm Mortal Wreck (lvl 16 MM) and have only been playing for around a week and i'd like to say that the people in this community/server/game seem to be alot more friendly and mature than many other games such as WoW which i recently quit.
