    My earlier post still applies.
Rich is something you can blow over a bad weekend and a CoX-crack habit...
...Wealth is something that isn't going to go away.

  2. I'm Hawaiian!! Am I allowed?? Oh wait...ya'll know me already...shucks.

    Maui Built...Oahu Grown

I play on Justice and Freedom, although mostly Freedom for PvP reasons nowadays.
  3. Villain side woman. I'd let you have this before me if it were blue side.
  4. Like Chris Rock says:
There is rich and there is wealth. Wealth isn't lost over a long weekend and a CoX-crack habbit.

With that said is there a filthy obscenely wealthy option?
  5. Yes I apologize. Looking to buy Glad Armor: +3% Def/TP
    Freedom / Villain
  6. Ive got the infamy...

Believe me when I say that there are "many" players out there that have learned and appreciated from this effort to bring PvP to the comminity. If the very intent of this league was to find more players, build more interest in PvP it has succeeded in doing that.

If there is no season 2...or some kind of revamped, reworked, revised event of some sort on this scale mixing hardcore/test pvpers and the casual pvpers, then I worry for the PvP community. Unless everyone is happy with the "current state" of things and are happy to battle the same people over and over.

Also...don't assume that only the players have their eyes on the outcome of this event as well. I'm sure the devs and moderators are looking in too.

Just my opinion. Please dont flame.

I aplogize that I put that in. I was adding in my personal opinion which was wrong. I'm sorry for that. What's done is done. I guess I have to wait til the next league/event.

What I was requesting focus on was this:

"May I suggest that the next league or any event following this one hold the draft at least 1 month before official play begins with a minimum amount of practices required to attend. Then the week before the first matches, hold a sup draft to fill the d6's that are no shows, "specific teamers", etc."

    Edited Adding in:
Expecting non competitive pvpers to transfer servers and change around their build to fit team needs takes time. Not everyone has PvP specced builds like we do. For us pvpers, its no problem to swap out total focus for psi lance on our psi/em if need be. That's our dig. But telling a casual pvper that he needs 20-25 more KB protection isnt as easy.
I just feel a longer window would have helped in an event with this much d6 interest.
*...and maybe i coulda snuck in the back door =) *

This is the whole point here. It would be wise to look beyond just this tourney as far as broadening the pvp base. I for one started pvp'ing years ago. But nothing of this scale was ever put together on Justice. Now all the pvpers on Justice are on Freedom (Deth, Ra, Mac, and many more). This event literally, got lots of people to transfer toons to freedom. Are you just going to let them sit out? Worst yet, is this tourney going to deteriorate to the point of where all the people that transfered their toons going to be for nothing?

I agree with this for 2 reasons.
    1) It looks like those chosen late were cherry picked.
    2) There are a select few of people out there that would give anything short of a limb to pvp in this league. For some, pvp is all they do. Those that were late to signup shouldnt be punished for not reading the forums or having AC. In the same respect, those that were able to signup on time but dont make it to practice, work with the team, sacrifice, shouldnt be an anchor for their team either.

In the 1st draft, seeing people drafted onto U2BG, dUmb, RAFTW, BoBC, etc d6's and not show up and take the benefits of learning is ridiculous. This is the closest thing to competitive pvp, that ANYONE is going to ever find again on a game entering its 7th year of existance AFTER all the BS pvp changes.

  18. So let me get this straight...

I just gutted 2 of my pvp toons and placed about 6 bil in bids to finish my psi/em blaster and still didnt get picked up in the 2nd draft???
    /ragequit

j/k...on the poor attempt at a threadjack.

In seriousness, Ive been watching this unfold from the sidelines. Speaking as someone who really wishes they could be a part of this league (with mostlikely many more), I dont think ya'll should let this thing fall apart. With a little effort and understanding, this league could be a great thing for PvP across the board...well beyond just this tourney.

I'd still have about a dozen purpled chars. And I'd still have hundreds of IOs in base storage that are worth a lot. I'd probably sell the IOs I don't need, plus farm and Marketeer like mad to buy up the really good stuff while prices are still low.

    TopDoc is wise.

I would gut one of my old maxed out pvp builds. Turn it on the market for a starting point. Then lock up about 5-10 items on the market and do business as usual.
