Any Scrappers still viable?
[/ QUOTE ]
I've soloed Envoy of Shadows (lvl35) and Terra (lvl36) post issue 4
with my katana/regen scrapper. I used a different build for each
one. I had a much harder time with Terra because the first Envoy
fight can be done in the presence of CoT crystals. Terra offers no
such luxury although she doesn't heal herself either.
According to some recent Test server patch notes they improved
Envoy's AI/attack chain. He seems to use his footstomp a lot more
now. -
Yeah, currently I'm running Manuevers with my rad/rad to stack
with RI and EF (and eventually with Tactics). She's still limited to
DOs, so it's hard to really gauge it's true effectiveness.
Here's something I'd like to know.
What are the numbers between these two setups?
1: 6-slotted Tactics(tohitbuff) + 6-slotted attacks (5damage, 1accuracy)
2: 1-slotted Assault((endred)post I4) + 6 slotted attacks (2acc,
4damage)
The 1st example uses 5 more slots, so obviously it should be better.
But, how much better is it? -

With the changes to Assault on I4 now on test, giving Defenders a bonus of approx 18.5%, and Controllers 15% to damage output for the team, within it's radius CHECK this thread on it. I may truly think about picking it up at some point.

Thanks for the numbers.Link isn't working though.
I'm glad to see so many pro-leadership-pool users posting in this
thread. Makes me glad I brought it back up. -
Something that a lot of pro-Weave scrappers forget is that Manuevers
is pure defense. It's defense .vs everything. -
Both of those links are long past I'd say.
Anyone have any more recent information on this power pool?
I'm assuming these are the base values.
Power:......................Controller......Defend er.....Everyone Else
Assault(+dam)...............10%............12.5%.. .........7.5%
Manuevers(+def)...........6.25%...........7.8%.... .......6.25%
Tactics(+acc)...............10%............12.5%.. .........7.5%
Vengeance
(+acc,+dam,+def,+heal)
I'm not sure what the numbers are on Vengeance. Last I heard was
that it was now cast on a fallen ally to work. The old version
would've worked really well with self-rez powers.
EDIT: added +heal to Vengeance. -
Does anyone else remember when certain groups of Lost in TV
wouldn't fight back? -
I remember visiting my friend last March and watching the CoH demos
he had downloaded (which featured a gravity controller in Outbreak).
I remember thinking that was an awesome looking demo and that
I would definitely get involved in this game.
I remember my friend calling me sometime later while he played
on another friend's beta account and gave me the low-down
on gameplay and mechanics. "It's root and nuke, just like EQ."
I remember lurking on the boards in beta.
I remember buying the game on the 3rd day of head start but not
being able to download the beta-client before midnight. (I went
out to see 'The Punisher' AAMOF)
I remember deleting my main twice after taking 'gimp' powers
(namely jump kick and hasten) and my friend had levelled to
15 and told me, "you need to get in a SG right away, because
you cannot solo in this game past level 10!" ...he was DM/Reg
I remember AP 1, 2 and 3.
I remember using whirling sword and superleap to solo groups of
Lost in Boomtown from 18-20, using the war walls as my perch.
I remember doing Synapse TF with my main and 7 blasters.
I remember Shikamaru ranting about SR being entirely sub-par
and outdone by power pools.
I remember watching Confessor's AV soloing demo ...in awe. -

Actually the protector of Crete was Talus, not Talos. And he wasn't a minotaur...he was a bronze giant.
Talos was the nephew of Daedalus, who showed even more talent for invention than his uncle. Before he was ten he'd invented the saw, the compass and one or two others I don't recall. Daedalus killed him out of jealousy. In some versions of the myth he ended up at the Minoan court because he was fleeing punishment for this crime; in others he doesn't kill Talos until after Icarus is dead.

Daedalus did make the labyrinth of course, and the Minotaur
was kept there. I gotta wonder if PC's Talos' arch-nemesis was
named Daedalus.
....hmmm
Is there any direct reference to the Minotaur in game? -
It hasn't been one year since launch, yet the devs have improved
this already excellent game exponentially in that time. And what's
more, they've done it by very much listening to the community and
our suggestions, and by implementing many of them.
Kudos to All.
Even with the innumerable improvements in issue 3, I'm still
thrilled beyond belief with the post-issue-2 katana animations.
Looking forward to issue 4 as well. -

I predicted Hellgeist for the win...
[/ QUOTE ]
I had a hunch he would win too. His costume was excellent and
didn't seem to fall into any of the other categories.
I think Scarlet Fist deserves some props for his prop.
And while she was only a runner-up, The Exfoliator would have
taken top honors in the 'Most Heroic Calves' category had there
been one.
Congratulations to all those who won and nice work to everyone
who entered. I think the stakes will be raised quite a bit next
year. -

Yay! INTJs dancing in the streets!
[/ QUOTE ]
I dunno, dancing is a little too social for me.
* sighs * ..."why couldn't I have been an SP?"
Anyhoo, bring on those epic power pools. They will most
certainly make the game more comic-book-ish.
