Even if this means that they're working on CoH2, they're likely just starting on it. On top of that, they're coming out an expansion on City of Heroes original flavor in a few months. They're not going to deep-sixing that investment for at least a couple of years.

I'm still have "Crossover" in the Issue 18 name pool.
Kinetic Melee sounds awesome, name issues notwithstanding. Electric control sounds interesting enough, though part of me wishes they'd have done dark control instead. Still the Paragon Studios people have done a great job with the last several powersets, so I'm sure it'll be great.
And incarnates. Oh. Em. Gee. I will have to pull my only 50--the prettiest stone tanker in Paragon City--out of retirement. -

I'm totally confused. Judging from all the pre-release Champions hype I'm certain that City of Heroes/Villains has been completely abandoned and that Champions has been so dominant that it's even challenging the World of Warcraft juggernaut. But Champions not even making the top 3? That cannot possibly be right.

Early versions of City of Heroes suffered from issues with the automatons losing power during long battles. This prompted the decision to change the game from a life-sized simulation to a multi-player online game. -
The head of the city sanitation department looked out the window with dread. Sure, he was safe inside. Sure, the heroes would win as they always do. But those dark miasma stains would be nearly impossible to clean up.

Team-play in this game has gone down bigtime (from what I see) over the past few issues. I'm 100% fine with the option to solo, trust me. But this *MMO* is become less multi-player (again, in my opinion) and that's what's really got me irked.
I see nothing mentioned on that list to help this game's longevity. I was hoping (yea, poor me) to see something that would make the competition wipe the sweat from their brow. New badges? New emotes? New visuals? Eye-candy. Need substance!

The change to epic archetypes actually sounds good to me, for one simple reason.
It seems to imply there will be new epic archetypes in GR, probably unlocked through content rather than level, but thereby replacing the existing Epics as "badge of honor" type things.
All speculation, of course, but it seems like the logical thing for them to do. Move one goalpost closer, as you raise up a bigger and better one far ahead. -
I assume that the Epic Archetypes at 20 thing is related to Praetorians having to choose a side at level 20. As someone who doesn't have a level 50 villain yet, I kinda wanted to work for it. But if I get VEAT access when I17 comes around I'll still take it and play with it. I'll still work at getting a villainous 50. I hear the chicks dig it.
I am very intrigued with this new mystery villain that supposedly can match me blow for blow. If it's whom I think it is, well, that's a villain that I've wanted to face for a LOOOOOONG time, ever since that one Portal mission where they were hinted at.
Ultra Mode, nice to have it available. It will probably be a little while before I have a computer capable of utilizing it, but I certainly don't begrudge others getting a new, shinier world. -

Very well done, as always. I like how he "reluctantly" took on ever-increasing mantles of responsibility. From the bio you can definitely see why the populace loves him.
And that battle with Hamidon. Why do I have the feeling there will be big revelations about that historical event once the expansion goes live? At the very least, it's ripe for speculation.
