    It has been something we tend to organise now and again (and it has been an age since last one). I can assure you its not a conspiracy, just a night for a lot of pvping.

    No I am sure it was just a spontaneous thing. I am supportive of any attempt to make the pvp zones more active. Last night I managed to drag a full team into Sirens of pvp newbs to run the missions and a little pvp. Unfortunately they were a little inexperienced and it turned into a massacre.

    If me turning control of sirens over to heroes in what seems a very long time had something to do with the spontaneous VG raid of sirens I am just happy to have sparked some pvp action. If it was just random thats great too and conveniant for your raid that I prepared the zone for you.

    Out of interest when was the last organized sirens raid?

  3. Er does this have anything to do with my taking sirens back for heroes? Seems you posted this the day after I started?

    Not that its a problem it looks like a fun event. Anything that gets people into the zones is fine with me.

    Thats what I am trying to do. Well I have come to the conlusion that enough villains count on those temps in sirens. Jump/flight pack. Tbh i do with my brute.

    Maybe my campaign to keep hero control will generate some pvp! Probably consist of me in hero base with a horde of stalkers at the gates tho.

    It is an intersesting 'trigger' that the Devs have designed but unfortunatly there isn't enough population in the Zones for it to be worthwhile playing with the system. To explain a little further if say the zones pop was 30 v 30 at all times and 10% wanted to 'influence' the zone in that way perhaps 3 of each side would go and win/lose the npc battles for them. Given an average population of 15 say than that 10% One player plus his mate if he can manage to persuade him will bother which basically means 0.

    Er thanks. I understand how the system works. What I was pondering on is if the NPC's start the fights themselves and there is a bias to one side without player intervention.

    Don't know a little light scouting would probably reveal the answer though

    And further there is every point to play the zone battles. You know the temps that are available to the faction with zone control? They are very good.

    And just out of curiosity Alphane why do you have such an axe to grind with pvp? Perhaps after wielding said 'axe' I found it blunt, dull and in need of sharpeing (grinding) You seem to post consistently negative responses to any thread about pvp. I'm assuming you missed my attempts to arrange a PvP 'gathering' or my 'How can we best improve PvP thread' or was that all just 'negativety' to you as well? If you dont like it just avoid it? And if you want to pass judgement on it why not give it a try then you can respond without having to trawl the U.S. forum guides. Making assumtions about what my opinion is and how I came about it is unlikely to gain you aything

    Now would be a perfect time to try sirens after my crusade to take control of the zone. There are temps for +perc, +stealth, some armour and extra attacks. Oh and the very usefull webnades.

    Well you did enter this thread and take it off topic. But just to your first point have you found any information on how sirens control will work without player intervention?
  7. You will always die. Face it.
    Ice tanks are good but you have to play it right.
    If you want an ok build that is hard to kill and can dish out some damage look at a spines/regen scrapper.

    Regen is pretty easy to get quite tough, tons of end for running toggles. I find my regen scrapper feels a lot tougher than my icey. Then spines gives you ranged attacks along with the melee.

    But again a large part of survivability in pvp i find is down to the player. ice/em tanker should be fine with the right build and playstyle.

    Np Alphane i was just confused :P

    And Fai where should I post this? It is in a pvp zone and the zone control does have an impact on pvp due to the availability of the temp powers. Just tonight someone was complaining because they depend on those temps in there.

    And from what I can gather it does seem that some villains must go and change control back. I did some this morning then when i logged in the evening the control had gone down a fair amount.

    Apparently somebody did the missions and debuffed the villains 15% which i thought was pretty funny. Wasnt me though.

    Well I am going to continue.

    Sirens is fine?? I really enjoy the zone on the whole. Yes certain AT's and sets outperform others due to the level limit but there is plenty of fun to be had in there.

    I was enquiring about the zone control system. I feel it is biased to villains but atm that is purely conjecture on my part.

    That is totally true what i can see from your quote. Seriously Forts are eminently beatable. I have beat them in duels with different toons. I even beat a fort with my pb but the fort was only 42-44 or something.

    Well I thought fortunata's were over powered but admittedly overall they are balanced in a relative way. Stalkers are fine tbh.

    Bigger problem is how daunting pvp is to newbies but there is another thread adressing these issues.

    Btw tonight with someone i met in sirens while i was fighting for control, it was me on a scrap and an emp against 3-4 stalkers and neither of us died while the stalkers had a few casualties.

    Stalkers are fine in themselves. I think the problems they cause are due to wider issues that are far more complicated than a simple nerf to stalkers could solve.

    If I translated that right I would agree one Widow I think it was took down 3 competent PvPers in SC this was my last experience of PvP and frankly again I would say the 'balance' Dev was on holiday the day they sanctioned that.(see other post about PvE plant control)

    Anyone else noticed this problem with sirens?
    I spoke to someone in game before who claimed it was the same with defiant sirens. Always villain controlled.

    Is it a quirk of the zone or is there a villain like the tooth fairy with a mission to control sirens call?

    Is there something wrong with sirens balance? I spent about 2-3 hours gettin hero control of the zone. I come back an hour later and already its close to slipping back to vill.
    What is going on? And in the past when I have turned total control to heroes with the extra temps its back to villains in a few hours. Without player intervention do arach just pwn LB?

    Or is there some villain who goes in every day and turns it back to villains. I go in regular and that last time i remember heroes having control I had done it. And that was a long time ago.

    For all the build-up this set has had I'm kinda hoping for a new set, new animations, new graphical GFX etc.

    Yeh me too. At least if im gonna be getting pwned by another op villain I want it to look interesting :P

    I am happy with all the features of i13 just dont feel it looks as HUGE as we were promised.

    So is pain a new set or a modified empathy? Seems villains are getting a new fotm pvp build.

    The other elements of i13 seem great but I must admit to being a little underwhelmed. Do i remember correctly about "The coming storm!" and biggest issue ever rumors?

    Offline rewards I am still unsure about. I dont really understand the motivation for this as I dont see it fixing anything nor adding anything that the players have being demanding? More it worries me as a new dynamic that could cause more strife than satisfaction. I do hope I am proved completely wrong though.

    Mission creator sounds great to me. The fact the reward element has been seriously approached gives me confidence in this element.

    Overall TF rewards being overhauled is really great news. But again I still feel this is more a QoL issue that should have been rectified a way back.

    Shields are my favourite feature by far.

    But ultimately I am underwhelmed. There are also other QoL issues that need addressing> team search interface is one I think should be a priority. Also again it feels that pvp is further undermined by the devs seeming ambivalence towards it. And poor crippled khelds are left to languish in psuedo epic misery while their villain counterparts shine in their truly epic glow.

  23. If I change the billing method to credit card it wont bill till my time runs out?
    So could I change to credit card. Buy slots then cancel the card payment and go back to paypal/timecards etc?
