  1. Thanks. There certainly does seem to be much more chatter about this combo in the Scrapper section. So what sort of things need to change switching from Scapper to Brute?

(Interestingly, this character was originally a Scrapper, but by lvl 15, I didn't like the way he was shaping up, so I switched to Brute. From all accounts, I should have stayed where I was.)
  2. I'm still liking my Kinetic Melee / Shield Defense brute, and have managed to get him up to a level where he's in real need of a respec. He does reasonably well in close quarters, even with nothing but SOs, but it's time to take it to the next level. Not having the hours available to crunch the numbers myself, I turn to the forums for inspiration. Unfortunately, in this entire forum, I've found all of 2 post-Fitness builds for this powerset, and one of them is from someone who never made it past level 12.

So, I realize it's not a farming fire/SS/elec/whatever set, but can we get a little love for the KM/SD? Who's got a build they can show off?
  3. And is it too much to ask that the Server Status page actually mention this?
    (Ok -- Rhetorical question.)
  4. Thanks. Sounds like I'm at least in the ball park, but have a little more refining to do. Good tips on those pop-up windows. I'll probably drop Leadership, and shift a few other things around.
  5. I've recently dusted off my old (as in still had the Fitness power pool) Energy/Energy Blaster, and tried my best to come up with a new build in Mids'. This guy was meant to be a Blapper, as I love the feel of jumping into melee and blasting/swatting in all directions. I also primarily solo, but also enjoy the Task Force / Trial scene when I can.

This being my first foray into using Mids' and trying to figure out how the crafted Sets behave, I've no doubt that I've gone horribly wrong. So what I'm looking for here is not so much a critique on this build as much as I'm looking for areas where I was just making wrong assumptions, ignoring caps, creating conflicts, etc.

Yeah -- I call B.S! When the system is as screwed up as it's been over the last half a week, you tell the staff to cancel their weekend plans and you fix the darned thing.

Unless, of course, this was all planned maintenance, in which case, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!
  8. Can a toon change careers? Or do they lock in to just one?
  9. Does this still work with the new floating power trays?

Then make use of the in game /petition command to let our Customer Support Team know of the activity so we can address it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

could you elaborate on this, as to exactly what information you need the petition to contain, what petition topic to enter it under. also how do you globally ignore someone without knowing their global name ?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I agree. Most of the time, all you get is their throwaway toon's name not their global.

    [/ QUOTE ]

When you use the /gignore command, it will tell you the global name. Let's say, for instance, that you get a tell from asdfjkl. You can immediately
    /ignore asdfjkl
It will tell you that asdfjkl is ignored. Now, you
    /gignore asdfjkl
In your window, you should see it telling you that you have globally ignored @yaddayadda.
That's the global name that you can now include in your petition.
  11. I'm jealous! I want to be able to use inline pictures too!

Actually the protector of Crete was Talus, not Talos.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Don't correct someone's Greek when you're speaking in English. -os is the standard ending for a male name. "Talus" was the Roman spelling.
  13. How 'bout not spamming at all. We'd all appreciate that much more.

If I may offer a better suggestion: You're going to build a much better SG by meeting people in person, through pick-up groups, contests, etc. The sort of people that respond to blind SG spams are not the sort of people that remain active in your SG.

    Accuracy

Ok -- I'll take your word for it that Accuracy is working as intended. But can we at least nerf those damned Nerva Spectral Demons? I'm getting tired of them being able to slaughter me during the time it takes to get in a single hit.
  15. I suppose you could conceivably contrive some bizarre RP explanation for the goings-on in Warburg. Let's see ... Off-limits zone, Mass hypnosis, ... uh ... ok, I'm out. But why bother. There are plenty of other places to explore in Paragon City.

My character is a hero. I play because I want to play a hero. And this hero will not fire on another hero for any reason.

Personally, I think Warburg is destined to go the way of the Arena. After the novelty wears off, nobody's going to go there. Word has already spread that the zone is populated with munchkins who think it's amusing to ruin your gaming experience, and who believe that *you* should find it amusing as well.

Oh -- and this sort of post is inevitably followed by somebody telling me to quit whining and if I don't like it I should just stay out. Well guess what? I am. Due to the bonehead decision by the design team to require every character to visit the zone, I'll have each of my alts go there exactly once, and for less than 30 seconds. Beyond that, I have no use for the place.
  16. Correction: Received the Stalwart Medallion 126

I don't know what 129 is, as I don't seem to have it.
