Quote:I don't know one way or the other, but remember that the 8 year anniversary takes place on the Saturday the 28th, and it's not completely unfeasible that they'd do a special Paragon Market release on that day.So basically this will be released no later than April 24th... I will look for it then, no earlier or later, unless he meant April of some other year...
I'd rather they not wait that long, but it is within the realm of possibility. -

Quote:Didn't you know Napoleon Dynamite is making a comeback? They just got an animated series on FOX that started last month.Gee Napoleon Dynamite sure was funny this would have been a great idea.
Eight years ago.
(Not that I disagree with you. I'm kinda scratching my head on this too, wondering, "Why now?") -
Quote:Liger? Really? There's not enough Son I Am Disappoint to convey how sad this is.Quote:Really, really, NOT sure if serious... a Liger pet...? Wow, guess the joke is really on us now, huh.
For me, this is the moment CoH manages to jump the shark and nuke the fridge all in one fell swoop - to go from pretty respectable, to utterly ridiculous.
Roll your eyes, say whatever, and get on with your lives. At best, it's a quirky pop-culture joke. At worst, it's a week where you don't spend Paragon Points on something new. There's no reason to be aggravated.
And in case anyone missed it in Z's other thread, STAFF FIGHTING WILL BE RELEASED IN APRIL. -

Had to fix the title. Carry on.

Quote:NO other game studio I've had experience with give the level of communication that Paragon Studios does. Quit getting your panties in a bunch just because they're not giving you exact dates on things. They haven't given us a release schedule with dates since December. This goes from zero anger and total understanding with information and communication to 100 anger and calls for more communication in an instant. All of this could be avoided with clear regular communication.
And FYI, the people who find the show-stopping bugs aren't the same people who report to the playerbase on the forums. Unless the QA guy specifically tracks down Zwillinger to tell him, he's not going to know why something got delayed at the eleventh hour... or even that it was delayed at all.
This isn't me "blindly defending Paragon Studios." This is me saying that your expectations are unrealistic and that you need to keep them in check. The only person at fault for your frustration is you. -
Quote:My guess is it was either a Paragon Studios employee furthering a the prank or someone who fudged together a creative background to make it look like power selections.Yeh I got that much, I was joking, but... I did see a clown in Atlas with his powers being listed as Clowns Summoning: Summoning Happy Clowns and he was sonic. How did that happen? or was it a fluke/bug? And for the record I saw the Clown summoning and sonics font were highlighted in blue.

Quote:The Clown power set (and everything else shown on April 1st--aka April Fool's Day) was a joke. It will not be released, at least not anytime in the near future... they are NOT releasing a power set that hasn't been tested on beta. FYI, Positron (the lead developer, not the NPC) is apparently terrified of clowns, which is why the joke keeps resurfacing.I HOPE that those are typos/misposts or something and hope clowns was actually supposed to be there among a few other things.
As far as Staff Fighting not being released, I'm of the opinion that they're putting together a Weapon Pack for it like they did with Titan Weapons, and will put it in the store once that's been finished. -
'Tis Tuesday, the day known as New Stuffs Day!
Today we get some non-combat jungle pets. The new Lion Pet and the Liger Pet are each available for 400 PP, or you can purchase them together in BUNDLE: Jungle Pets 1 for 600 PP--however, the jungle pets bundle will only be available until April 9.
As Snow Globe mentioned above, the other non-combat vanity pets are on sale for 25% off.
Will update the OP and spreadsheet, shouldn't take long. -
I will name my liger Tina, and I will feed her ham. But she won't eat it, cuz she's a frikkin' idiot, GAAAAWD!
Not really. It's, er, cute and all, but I don't see the point of selling non-combat vanity pets, and will not be buying. -

Quote:Your math is off. It's only $9,375 (US).60 MILLION DOLLARS for the Custom Powerset????!?!?!?!?!?!
But hey, now I know what to buy when I win the lottery. >_>

Quote:Bee Bark Upgrade
City of Heroes has dogs. City of Heroes has bees. Now City of Heroes has dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you. This upgrade power will work on the wolf companion pet, the black wolf companion pet, the umbra beast, and the minion and boss summoned wolves from the Beast Mastery power set. It will give those creatures the ability to shoot bees out of their mouths as a ranged attack. "Simpsons did it."
Price: 400 Paragon Points -

Quote:... You think it's easier for them to keep translating into two other languages for the duration of the game than for them to go "CTRL+A, CTRL+C, CTRL+V" once? All the content, including the forums, is in their native language already. It's easier to translate any new content for them than to revert all content to English.
I agree that this is sad news, but saying that staying the course is easier in the long run than merging a couple of divergent paths back to the main road is ludicrous. -
I would quit looking for a job, buy a modest house and live off the interest while I sit around and play video games all day every day. The bulk of that money would never be touched in my lifetime.
Basically what I'm doing now, only with a house of my own and without the depression that comes from being unemployed and guilt that comes from playing video games when I should be looking for more jobs. -_- -
And in a further attempt to mark me as a liar, now the individual Animal Pack costume items ARE on sale for 25% off.
Sigh. I'm feeling like somebody over at Paragon is specifically trying to screw with me this week.

Quote:Hey, not everything can be as friggin' amazing as the new Dark Astoria content, but I don't think the "Who Will Die?" arc was bad at all. Sure, just about anything involving Sissy P and Manticore was made of the DERP!, but there were some pretty epic moments in there. Seriously... I feel like making a meme pic with Manticore that says "Make ALL the bad decisions!"Hooray! An end to the Who Will Die? snoozefest!
I hope the next SSA won't be so damned boring that I stop caring by the 3rd one...
It is a bit of a shame that the final boss was a pushover, though... -

Quote:Sure, if by "a week or two" you mean "one day shy of exactly 3 months."No im not i wasnt talking about the one you get from the supepacks. I was talking about how i bought one and only a week or two later they gave one to the super packs which is the same thing with a different color.
German Shepherd Pet -- Nov 15, 2011
Super Pack #1: Heroes & Villains -- Feb 14, 2012
Proof's here if you need it. -
Quote:I think you mean "breath" in space. That IS what Lady Grey says, after all. I think it's a Britishism or something. >_>A mysterious woman had just cast a magic spell on me to let me breathe in space...

My main complaint that I haven't seen mentioned yet (other than the grammatical errors and INSERT BIO HERE) was that, after all was said and done, they showed what was up with the other characters who had taken part in the arc, but they DIDN'T EVEN MENTION MANTICORE. Not that I particularly care for the character or anything, but dude DID just lose one of his best friends, followed in short order by his wife. Just a snippet to say "Manticore's whereabouts are currently unknown" would have made a difference.
As it stands, I'm assuming he WASN'T mentioned because he'll be a focus of an upcoming Signature Story Arc. -

If it's an AT that's locked into its power sets (like the existing EATs), then 1000 PP.
If it's an AT that lets you choose different existing power sets (like Assault/Defense or Melee/Debuff, just as examples), then 800 PP. I personally feel that Controllers and Masterminds are overpriced.
If it's an AT that lets you choose different power sets AND has new sets included in the purchase price, then I could see myself paying up to 1600 PP, but probably no more.
