I don't know one way or the other, but remember that the 8 year anniversary takes place on the Saturday the 28th, and it's not completely unfeasible that they'd do a special Paragon Market release on that day.

I refer you both back to the Flying Disc Power -- they've said that sometimes, they're going to do stuff for themselves just because it tickles their fancy. I seriously doubt too much time went into making the Liger Pet, and the Lion Pet was already tested and scheduled for release, so we didn't lose anything.

Roll your eyes, say whatever, and get on with your lives. At best, it's a quirky pop-culture joke. At worst, it's a week where you don't spend Paragon Points on something new. There's no reason to be aggravated.





And in case anyone missed it in Z's other thread, STAFF FIGHTING WILL BE RELEASED IN APRIL.

Well, at least it's an intentional joke. And it is nice to know that they can still slip things in here and there that weren't directly tested on the beta server.

NO other game studio I've had experience with give the level of communication that Paragon Studios does. Quit getting your panties in a bunch just because they're not giving you exact dates on things. They haven't given us a release schedule with dates since December.

And FYI, the people who find the show-stopping bugs aren't the same people who report to the playerbase on the forums. Unless the QA guy specifically tracks down Zwillinger to tell him, he's not going to know why something got delayed at the eleventh hour... or even that it was delayed at all.

This isn't me "blindly defending Paragon Studios." This is me saying that your expectations are unrealistic and that you need to keep them in check. The only person at fault for your frustration is you.

My guess is it was either a Paragon Studios employee furthering a the prank or someone who fudged together a creative background to make it look like power selections.

The Clown power set (and everything else shown on April 1st--aka April Fool's Day) was a joke. It will not be released, at least not anytime in the near future... they are NOT releasing a power set that hasn't been tested on beta. FYI, Positron (the lead developer, not the NPC) is apparently terrified of clowns, which is why the joke keeps resurfacing.


As far as Staff Fighting not being released, I'm of the opinion that they're putting together a Weapon Pack for it like they did with Titan Weapons, and will put it in the store once that's been finished.

Apparently someone chose "the box" on Wheel of Fish, because right now, it's ABSORUTERY NOTHING!

Your math is off. It's only $9,375 (US).

I agree that this is sad news, but saying that staying the course is easier in the long run than merging a couple of divergent paths back to the main road is ludicrous.

I would quit looking for a job, buy a modest house and live off the interest while I sit around and play video games all day every day. The bulk of that money would never be touched in my lifetime.

Basically what I'm doing now, only with a house of my own and without the depression that comes from being unemployed and guilt that comes from playing video games when I should be looking for more jobs. -_-

Hey, not everything can be as friggin' amazing as the new Dark Astoria content, but I don't think the "Who Will Die?" arc was bad at all. Sure, just about anything involving Sissy P and Manticore was made of the DERP!, but there were some pretty epic moments in there. Seriously... I feel like making a meme pic with Manticore that says "Make ALL the bad decisions!"

It is a bit of a shame that the final boss was a pushover, though...

My main complaint that I haven't seen mentioned yet (other than the grammatical errors and INSERT BIO HERE) was that, after all was said and done, they showed what was up with the other characters who had taken part in the arc, but they DIDN'T EVEN MENTION MANTICORE. Not that I particularly care for the character or anything, but dude DID just lose one of his best friends, followed in short order by his wife. Just a snippet to say "Manticore's whereabouts are currently unknown" would have made a difference.

As it stands, I'm assuming he WASN'T mentioned because he'll be a focus of an upcoming Signature Story Arc.

Signature Summon x5 was also added to the Paragon Market yesterday for 250 PP.

And no, you don't get that "for free." You get that as part of your paid subscription.
