  1. I tend to use the standard paintbrush, or sometimes pencil at around 5 to 10 pixels (depending on the dimentions of the piece) for touch up and drawing, but using a tablet, I can vary my pixel width without changing the width all the time. This is just where I seem to like it. The more specilized brushes seem to be better for coloring, shading, and adding effects later.

ok I have basically never inked before (ok maybe 2 times). This was done by hand using brush and india ink. Some area need a little work (that is what ps is for), but overall moving along nicely, I think.

The picture is slightly low res so the eye area is a little fuzzy, I did change alot, but it is not showing well. Sorry.

Think I solved the occular problem. Ty graver for pointing me in the right direction, everyone here be it artist or art lover is really a great resorce. I am going to try and ink it up tonight. TY again!!

It will always amaze me how moving a line a few mm, or a degree or 2 in tilt can make a giant difference.
  5. Nice job squirrely, It has a very nice solid amine feel to it . I really like it alot.

They old thread has kinda gotten burried, plus I have not been very productive lately. But, I am trying to get rolling again, by doing an old fav (and because she slipped in my pile). I have not forgotten everyone, just felt like doing this. I think the kinda simple costume also give me a great chance to practice inking and coloring, so I hope to take it that far.

I do not post for a few days and now everyone is cuppa something!!! (debates jumping on bandwagon). Did I miss a memo or something lol
  11. I know it has some time since I posted something, but I managed to find a little time today. I have not done anything in 3 weeks or so so I may have taken a slight step backwards, sorry about that. To mark my return (for now at least)

  12. I too kinda wish I know a little more about what happened. It is obvious you are very upset Lush, and it sounds like you may have cuase to be. With web design there will always be certian similarties, and shared elements, but that does not mean that there are not almost infinate ways of putting those different things together. So using ideas you see and combining them, and toss in a dose of your own ideas is to be expected.

A virtual copy page almost identical is a different story and boarders on plagerism, although on the web I am not sure of the legalities of it, but ethically it is not good.
  13. Despite having many graphic design/art programs. I find I like doing most of my preliminary stuff, and basic line work on paper, then scanning for inks and rarely colors.
  14. There was an op, must have missed that.

And I have yet to see a monkey, btw.
  15. Rowr your response count is only slightly lower than people on these forums that have seen a naked rowr drawing.
  16. But we always love when HexGirl visits just the same

Btw is anyone else loving the new quick response window.
  17. I listen to a bunch, lately been alot of Lacuna Coil with my regular helping off the random list.
  18. This is how hijack a thread, hijack a thread so early in the evening. lalalala
  19. No, I am the worthless unproductive one here lately.
  20. The kat is on the art hunt again.
  21. Brandon lets just say we both contributed. I had the diptych idea, and provided the screen shots of both globes (the locations I think were my idea). Beyond that, I let Brandon run with it. He picked the angles, character poses, and put the 2 sceens together, so he deserves a ton of credit. Brandon do not sell yourself short here!!!
  22. For those who have been wondering where Brandon had gone, I must confess, I have been keeping him very busy. Well kinda.

Anyway, he just sent me the final colors on a large peice that he has been working on for me. The idea behind this was in the tradition of varient covers for comics. One for my hero main and one for my villian main. In addition the two peices fit together as a dyptic making a bigger piece. I really love how these have turned out, and must thank Brandon yet again!!!!

  23. Very cute Rowr, raises hand for 1st Chibi!
  24. It is obvious from the people here and the number of artists that patrol these forums that cox has a large following for commissioned artwork here. Is this typical of a long standing mmo or something different because of the massive char generator that the devs have given us (as well as the comic subject). I have played a few other mmo's, but have never really contributed to the forums other than here.

I am also asking this because when I look at mmoart or darkjedi's new site, or other artisists here they have mainly COX stuff there. Also other mmo's certianly have fan pic sections, but to me (I could be wrong) seems much more dynamic with new additions on a very regular basis. So is COX unique in people getting pics of their chars to this levelover other mmo's?
