    Mind/Earth?

I took a quick glance around and couldn't find much on Mind/Earth domies, so I figured I'd ask what experience folks have with it, I like the idea of the combination for a concept character I am working on, so was looking to get some help with the character in question.
So I ask you, the dominator comunity, does the combo work, is there a decent levelling (common IO) build out there and what travel power would you advise for it?
  2. Great read and gave me a good idea of a concept for a character =)
  3. So, I've finished my pve build for my stalker and got her fully slotted up, but I was wondering if spines/nin is a viable pvp build as well? If so any suggestions for such a build? Any powers to skip or power pools to take?
  4. Since folks are posting build, does anyone have a viable, affordable build for a KM/Nin or MA/Nin toon by chance?
  5. How about MA/Nin folks? I'd really like to know how it works as a whole, I'm kinda determined to make an MA toon work, but am as of yet able to land on the best way to do it.

I know.. it's not CoX related at all... but Dean and Sam are kind of heroes, so.. they'll do *giggles*.
Did this one A3 paper (so that's a lot to fill) with pencil (technical and B) and ink.
I agree with this sentiment <3
  7. Awesome idea and would totally work as well with the premise of a Praetorian EAT, I'd love for em to do something like this. The one Im most fond of is definately the teleport set (possibly because I love Nightcrawler), but they are all quite nicely balanced all in all
  8. Does anyone have any quick binds for ammo changing for DP toons? like /bind g ETC.
  9. Oh I have no intention of remaking my stalker, just making a second one Sorry that I wasnt clear there, but thanks for your opinion, its appreciated
  10. Hey all,
I am a big fan of the Stalker AT first and foremost, my main is a Spines/Nin for instance, but with the release of GR I was pondering making a Praetorian version of my Spiney Stalker, seeing that I love /nin I figured I'd stick with it as a secondary, but Im curious what folks think would make a good primary?
I don't mind if it isnt huge damage, it'd be nice but not necessary, just curious what people feel works really well at the moment, I understand that km/ is pretty strong for Stalker but have no idea where to start with that pool, hense coming here.
Another, related, question is, do claws/nin Stalkers work well?
  11. You have my deepest condolances, having lost several friends and family to that bloody disease I know that words don't really help much so soon afterwards, but still I find myself saying them.
I'm not the praying type, so all I can say is you and your family are in my thoughts.

I love it! Thanks soooo much! Perfect for her =)

Oh, and like the lovely Sapphic, can I post this on my DevArt please? I will ofcourse credit you for drawing it
  13. Thanks for all the advise everyone, think I'll keep on thinking on it for a wee while still, recently respecced my Claws/Regen scrapper so have a bit of work left to do with her, luckily this gives me time to plot and plan with my next scrapper project.

I've got the travel power down and all, mainly cause I've been watching X-Men cartoons alot recently, so teleport with Combat Jumping ^_^

  18. Okay, so I have a 50 scrapper that is claws/regen, I like it and all, but sometimes I have to wonder if the 'grass is greener' so to speak. This leads me to this very post, I love martial arts and dual blades, or rather the idea behind them, so I was wondering if MA is a good build to go with?
Im not entirely sure what to put with it as a secondary, my default choice is something like /WP or maybe /Regen, though I am told it synergies rather well with /SR as well? I'm curious though, what would the scrapper community as a whole advise to couple with MA? Or if its even worth going for in the first place infact..

Thanks to Sands of Mu and endurance-free Brawl, my melee builds tend to put off offensive powers and focus on defense in the early game.

In general, you want everything from the Shield set. Every power is just that good. You could probably delay Grant Cover if you didn't care much about your teammates - or even ditch it altogether if you just run solo or really don't care about value to the team.

Repulsing Torrent and Confront are forgettable in Kinetic Melee. RT has a big KB component and weakish damage. Confront is a single-target taunt and it's the kind of thing that can be nice in PVP, but not quite as useful in PVE.

Fitness pool is a must, with one or both of Swift & Hurdle, plus Health and Stamina. I also recommend Fighting for Tough & Weave (I take Boxing as prereq usually).

If you take all of Shield's powers, all but RT & Confront from Kinetic Melee and three powers each from Fitness and Fighting, then you'll have two slots left over for whatever. Get rid of Grant Cover and you could have three. I like Combat Jumping for one of those (immob protection, defense, IO mule). If you need a movement power, Super Jumping is a good choice at that point. Hasten is always helpful, but Shield isn't all that clicky, so it'd be most helpful if you were able to use it to remove KM power choices (see below).

For slotting, I always 6-slot my attacks (Brawl & Boxing/Kick excepted) and do so as quickly as possible. The impact of having an EndRedux in an attack is going to be a lot bigger than having an EndRedux in a toggle. Toggles get ED-capped for defense and/or resistance, with EndRedux thrown in as available. Stamina always gets three slots. I tend to put off slotting Health until I'm ready to install procs from the Healing sets.

The second-stage build would work off of what attacks I could get rid of in the process of optimizing my attack chain. A pure single-target build would get rid of Burst (I wouldn't, but AOEs are less than useful in PVP or Pylon/AV soloing). Pure DPS builds seem to ditch Focused Burst, due to the 2s animation. Quick Strike would be the next to go for DPS reasons, but that takes quite a bit of recharge to pull off a decent attack chain at that point. You could just fill in with Brawl or Boxing, I guess, but they stink for DPS, too.
Thank you very much Streetlight, that helps alot and will give me a good idea of what to go for in making up the build Also your insight into both builds is greatly appreciated, as I said in a previous post my knowledge is with claws and regen for scrapper (and spines/Nin for stalker).
Once I have a basic build done I'll post it up for critique, again thank you very much

    KM/SD Build help

Oh I'm aware, problem comes when I have no idea about either power pool (my 50 scrapper is Claws/Regen), so honestly have no idea what powers to pick, how to slot either of them, they just appeal to me for some reason.
Sorry =/ Will hunt through the forums again and see if I can just find a build to disect

    KM/SD Build help

    Hey all,
Im wondering if someone could help me out with a KM/SD levelling build please? I like the idea behind it so was pondering finally making a praetorian =)

  23. Do you have much experience with this combination of powers with the corrupter archetype? Im curious which works better between Defender and Corrupter, also if you have a good levelling build/reference for Corrupter as well, since you already showed me the Defender (which I'm thankful for).
  24. Messing around is a vastly undervalued skill, that looks shiney
