Thanks to Ice and the rest of the PERC for all the time and effort they put into this.
And grats to the other finalists! It'll be fun to see how Justice measures up against the other servers.

Quote:Do we not play any matches from now until we finish the league on a weekend then? I'm guessing we wouldn't be doing the normal weekly matches, but just wanted to make sure.I predict if we did this and ranked the people showing up then the next season would go smoother, cause the people thatcome to get ranked would be serious.
Either way just give me a weekend that everyone is available. Next weekend or the weekend after is good for me. -

Ok its either
<ul type="square">[*]play 1 team twice in the 8 week season [*]Turn the 8 week season into a 7 week to play each team only once [*]Not change schedule at all, leaving Byes, and each time you come up against Team 7 its a automatic win and another bye.[/list]
this is something big that i would like to have input and a vote form all teams. plz let me know as fast as you can.
[/ QUOTE ]
Option one isnt going to work. As it stands (if I read the schedule right) well end up playing Team 3 AND Team 6 twice. I suspect there will probably be other teams with multiple matches against more than one team (or playing a team three times like was posted before).
Option three seems like the easiest and fairest solution for everyone involved. -
[ QUOTE ]
Team Farm Mac D wins 2 matches out of 3.
There was talk tonight about going best 2 out of 3 since it wasnt stateed clearly in the rules. I say its the best way to determine a clear winner of a match. since theres 4 matches a week i dont see it being a problem with time consumption.
[/ QUOTE ]
So what are the other servers doing for matches? Is it a winner takes all match or are they doing best of three fights too?
If this is all leading up to a server vs server event on Test, shouldnt everyone be on the same page? Or are teams that make it that far going to have different rules for that too (as far as how many matches are played, as well as arena options)?
Since youre clarifying rules though:
1) Whats the ruling on disconnects? Last Sunday we were all under the impression that 1 DC was allowed per team, but that isnt stated in the rules actually. Is this up to both teams to decide or do we have some sort of rule to go by in case it happens?
1.a) In relation to the question above, if you leave it up to the teams to decide when should that be decided? In the match itself? If Team A decides they dont want to allow for a reset after a member of Team B disconnects does that mean Team B has to play with a man down or forfeit the match?
2) If one team fails to show up on Sunday night, which team is responsible for contacting the other team to reschedule: the ones who missed or the ones who showed up? If its the former, and they dont contact the other team, do both teams forfeit their points for the previous week or does the team that showed up on time get the win? -
Ive written down at least one arc from everyone who posted in this thread (sometimes more, depending on if you made it sound fun/interesting). It may take me a while to hit them all (page and a half worth of arcs
) but Ill try to get them all done within a reasonable amount of time hehe. I usually have a SG team along when doing MA Arcs, so some of you will probably get a few extra votes/stars if Im not running your arc solo.
Here is my arc if people would like to run it:
Arc Name: Head Above Water (Poster Link)
Arc ID: 1291
Creator Global Name: @Cassie
Faction: Multiple (no custom)
Difficulty Level: Medium-Hard
Mission Count: 5
Estimated Time to Play: 60 - 120 minutes (Less if you skip through them)
Synopsis: A recent Freakshow theft in Steel Canyon has Positron concerned and he's looking for heroes to help him. Unravel the mystery behind the theff and stop those responsible.

Im not really looking for free star handouts; just rate it what you think it deserves. If youd like to give feedback on it, either the in-game feedback or my feedback post (listed above) is fine. At the least, let me know your arc ID number so I can play your arc next. That way you wont have to wait for me to hit it on my list.
The only one Ive done from this thread is Beef Cakes. -
I agree about the damage output of an elite boss. I was just saying if youre trying to spawn them as a boss class (on Heroic/Villainous) theyll need to be a rank higher because of the scaling thing.
Anyway, to TAs Arc.
We ran this last night with a team and I think most of us enjoyed it. Of course, I had to explain that Lokie wasnt actually misspelled because he is based off TAs brothers character. I dunno how you want to approach that. I can see how someone might think you got it wrong not knowing Lokie is actually a player character.
My only real complaint was the second mission. There was just way too much stuff going on. It probably wasnt noticeable solo or with a team of two, but we had 5 running it on tenacious which spawned the groups big. All the wings, capes, dark powers, electric powers, captive animation effects, and fire from the mission itself killed all our systems. It was literally like the old Hami raids. Its hard to imagine what it wouldve been like on a full team.
One person quit because they couldnt take the mission being so laggy. The rest of us pushed through it to get on with the arc but had it been someone we didnt know, we probably wouldve quit the arc completely and found something else to do. The mission actually gave me a headache from playing it. Im not sure what you could do to change it. Maybe use a different captive animation to cut down on unneeded effects. Id also change the map to something else if youre not too attached to it.
I think the enemies were a fun challenge. A regular boss with a nuke (especially when they can spawn two in a group) is probably a bad idea, howeverI also have a question about a plot point, but I can send you a PM if you want; so I dont ruin the story for anyone else lol.
Slightly off topic, but I agree with everyone else about TAs mage look. I think it suits him better than his original power armor look. I prefer the new one over the old one -

Anyways, i will switch them down to bosses with that imput. Also thanks for the compliment Brandi!

I haven't run your arc yet, TA, but I will shortly
I just wanted to comment on the Ally level thing for a second. If you make them boss level and someone runs it on heroic, they scale down to Lts. That's generally a bad thing if you want them to be around long enough to help. They're very squishy at that level.
If you make them Elite Bosses, they'll scale down to Bosses on heroic (but still be an EB at any other level). Custom enemies/allies do not scale properly (or maybe it's working as intended, I dunno). So even if you have a big team running the mission on heroic, they'll still spawn at Lts.
I'd suggest making them Elite Bosses, but limiting their attack powers so they're sturdy enough to hold their own but lack the options to do all the killing by themselves. -
I finally got around to filling in some of the info for the arcs I've run. I'll try to keep notes from here on out of the ones I run and post them here too
Arc Name: Fall of the White Plains
Arc ID: 2248
Morality: Hero
Creator: @talia rayvyn
Difficulty Level: Solo with Medium difficulty. There are some EB (or AVs maybe, depending on your difficulty) but those missions have ally helpers, so its not much of an issue.
Arc Description: In the final days of the First War, the city of White Plains is under attack by the invaders known as 'the Rikti'. It is up to you to aid Tessa Rayvyn in rescuing her family.
Arc Length: Long: 30 minutes to an Hour. It might be shorter if you opt to skip around the missions. I did not.
Why you think it deserves to be played/discussed: As mentioned before, Tal did an excellent job of crafting her story around the current continuality of the game. The story was well thought out and flowed nicely. I never felt like my own character was playing second string to her own, even though the main part of the story was about their plight during the first Rikti War. It was fun to read about her interpretation of what happened during the war and the small mentions of the war timeline the arc (like Alpha and Omega Teams preparing for their strike).
Arc Name: Blitzkrieg
Arc ID: 3416
Morality: Hero
Creator: @Mekkanos
Difficulty Level: Medium to Hard depending on whether you're solo or with a team. We ran it with a team of 8, so the arc scaled up really well. It's good for a large team needing a moderate challenge without feeling completely overwhelmed by the difficulity of the missions.
Arc Description: A simple investigation into Malta Group activity turns into a fight for the freedom of heroes everywhere as you uncover the sinister Project: Blitzkrieg
Arc Length: Long: I think it took us about 45 minutes to an hour to run through it.
Why you think it deserves to be played/discussed: Ive always enjoyed fighting the Malta Group because of their bag of tricks. This was no different. The contact dialog for Crimson was excellent. He had that militaristic tone of voice throughout the Arc. Very confident and firm in the way he spoke. Much how I imagine Crimson would speak. The arc itself was a load of fun. The missions and clues flowed well. The thing I liked the most was the amount of detail Mekk put into the clues and the dialog to the character. Everything was explained without making your feel stupid. I think he captured the spirit of the Malta and their anything goes mentality.
Arc Name: Bump in the Night
Arc ID: 22272
Creator: @Lucien Vargas
Morality: Hero
Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium. We ran this with an 8 man team, but anyone who wants to solo it could do so without much of a problem. The custom mobs aren't exactly pushovers, but they're not a major roadblock either. Its a good balance of fun enemies to fight while still being somewhat of a threat.
Arc Description: Strange things are going on at Paragon General Hospital. Lights flickering, objects moving by themselves, and sinister creatures lurking within the edges of the peripheral
Arc Length: Average: It took us about 30 to 45 minutes to finish. A few missions allow you to skip around to the objectives if you don't want to fight all the way through the mission.
Why you think it deserves to be played/discussed: Lucien crafted a really nice story and the atmosphere was spot on for his arc. I think a lot of that had to do with the custom enemies he made for it. Not only do they look cool, some of their descriptions are down right frightening. We ran this with an 8 man team on heroic. Unfortunately, do to the way custom enemies arent scaling properly for teams on heroic, I couldnt tell you whether or not the boss was supposed to be an AV or an EB. Either way, there is an optional ally to help you out if you need it.
Arc Name: A Hero's Worth
Arc ID: 51853
Morality: Hero
Creator: @Lite of Paragon
Difficulty Level: Group Orientated - Hard. Soloing this arc is possible, and, according to lite, much easier than if you're on a larger team. It does contain a handful of AVs, but they will scale down if you're solo. It was designed for teams, it seems.
Arc Description: Sister Psyche has gone missing and Valkyrie is asking for your assistance. Help Valkyrie and Manticore track down those responsible for this terrible act. Beware, Manticore and Sister Psyche are husband and wife, and that makes this a pressing situation.
Arc Length: Very Long: Over an Hour to complete.
Why you think it deserves to be played/discussed: The story on this is very good, but so is the difficulty. If youre not too sure about your ability to solo a few EBs (scaled down from AVs) then its probably best you do this with a team. The ending is a bit emotional, and not quite what you expected to happen, but still good nonetheless. The only downside (if you see it as such; I dont) is that the arc is pretty long. We all had fun on it, but a lot of the maps are pretty big in size and youre not really given the option to skip around and complete objectives to make it shorter. Still, its a fun arc to play through and an interesting story to read. -

Arc ID: 1291
Creator Global Name: @Cassie
Faction: Multiple (no custom)
Difficulty Level: Medium-Hard
Mission Count: 5
Estimated Time to Play: 60 - 120 minutes (Less if you skip through them)
Synopsis: A recent Freakshow theft in Steel Canyon has Positron concerned and he's looking for heroes to help him. Unravel the mystery behind the theff and stop those responsible.
Author's Comments: This arc was originally intended to be my version of the Positron Task Force, but do to enemy level limitations, I opted to just forgo that idea and do my own story. This arc can be completed solo (on heroic), but is best played with a team.

The Arc ID is the same, but I had to go in and remove a character description because of the <br> bug last night. You should be able to run it now, but I make no promises if there is another patch
For those who cant get on test or dont want to run it, spoilers below:
Kidnapped Artists: Juggertha, 8Baller, Lady Judgment, and Light-Speed.
Kidnapped Collectors: Buckeye Star, Hericane, Masked Shrike, and Soul Train.
Kidnapper: Thors Assassin and his Sassbots.
NPC Dialog:
Sassbot: TA is going to make you draw day and night for him!
Juggertha: Pff! Give me back my axe and we'll see who does the drawing!
Juggertha Rescued: Thanks for the rescue, $target.
Sassbot: Art, art, and more art!
Lady Judgment: Play City is NOT meant for TA. I won't draw him in it!
Lady Judgement Rescued: Wow thanks...I don't think the world can take TA in a Play City piece.
Sassbot: We need more 3d renders! Faster, Faster!
Light-Speed Rescued: Wow, TA is a madman! You have to stop him!
Sassbot: Haha! TA will have all the Lego TA's he wants now!
8Baller: I'll never model for that madman!
8Baller Rescued: Wow, thanks. That was a close one.
All the collector dialog is mostly the same.
Sassbot: You can only commission TA artwork now!
Collector Rescued: TA wanted me to stop commissioning art of my characters and only commission art of him!
TA Boss Dialog:
Unaware: Ha ha! Soon Ill have all the art Ill ever need! My plan cant go wrong!
Attacking: What!? $target!? No! Stay out of this! You wont stop me!
75% Health: Wait, wait .lets make a deal!
50% Health: I'll tell them to draw you too!
25% Health: Come on! OK, how about I give you a few artists??
Defeated: ...foiled Ill have my revenge! Your art is never safe!
Defeating a Player: Hm, me defeating you would make a great piece of art. -

Fun arc, a little too short but fun
You got most of the costumes very well
I have to ask one thing: how do you get the player's name in your NPC's dialogs ?
[/ QUOTE ]
For the NPC Dialog, I normally just use $target. Theyll say whoever they have targeted after being rescued (normally the person who defeated the last enemy). For the mission contact dialog I use $name so if youre on a team and someone else reads it from the mission info button, it shows their name.
Thanks for the comments, too; Im glad you guys thought it was fun. -
[ QUOTE ]
hmm... can't seem to find the mission. Has it been made available for everyone??
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I published it, but it looks like the search feature is broken or down. I tried searching for it and it didn't show (even though its listed under my Published Arcs) and tried a few other random arc IDs and they didn't show up either.
Maybe just try again tomorrow to see if it works. -
I was bored this afternoon and had an idea I thought would be a fun little mission. I wouldve posted this in the MA Story section but this mission is geared towards the people who visit this forum and its really more of a goofy/fun mission anyway. Nothing serious
Arc Name: Save the Paragon City Art Club
Arc ID: 16887
I will apologize in advance if I got any of the character proportions or costumes wrongI did my best to get them close enough to the art/screenshots I looked over. The spawns on the map are kinda sparse because of the way the MA system works, but thats ok because the normal spawns arent what's supposed to be fun about the mission to begin with.

<QR>
Thanks guysI'm glad you like the site.
I got your tells tonight, Spino...of course that was before I saw TA had made this thread. Just figured I'd let you know...I always have trust issues with offline tells being sent or not. -
I really liked how this one came out...and since you said on your DA page anyone could color it, I gave it a shot.
Invincibelle Colored -
Yeah, he was added in Issue 5 when the NPC feature where they fight alongside you was put into the game. I'm glad they finally fixed it, though. One of the highlights of that mission is watching him run around and clean up any extra spawns you'd left alive.

[ QUOTE ]
lol damn it's been a while since I did that mission. Did he always have a cape?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a few screenshots of him over a few months span. In September of '05 he didn't have a cape on. In Febrary of '06 he has a cape.
Who woulda thought those crazy dates for the name of each screenshot would have come in handy? -

Heheh, we're the unstoppable Turbospin, or Spinski or whatever
[/ QUOTE ]
lol Turbospin seems rather appropriate considering how fast you both work
I had some time yesterday so I colored a few of the inks too. (and a big thanks to Turbo for already having the color reference for the two characters I didn't know hehe)
Biltzkreg Bop
Grey Mantis
Invincibelle
Larissa Rasputin
Juggertha -
Spin is doing a wonderful job on inking
I colored Kitty Kool earlier since there was a color reference left.
Spin suggested in a PM I do a "Color a Day" thread...I'm considering it but still trying to figure out the best way to get the color references of the stuff he's inking -
lol A few more subjects?
I'm not much of an artist. I used to draw but that was kinda limited to cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy. I've since kinda lost my touch in that department.
I enjoy coloring, though; It relaxes me and is good practice (lol not that I plan on taking this much farther...but you get the idea).
If you have a drawing that you'd like colored though I'll give it a whirl. Just send me a PM -
Thanks Thorn.
Oh...and I know you didn't apply to the rights or anythingI was just doing the two I liked the most out of the three. I might try to do Invincibelle later when I have a little more free time.
Your version looks great though. I can't wait to see it finished.

I tried WarFox too. She came out ok but I think I still like Britannia better hehe.
