Jack realxes as little as the look of slight concern crosses Tylers face "yeah, jsut a bit more nervous that i first thought, was trying for inconspicous" smiles breifly, his grey blue eyes slightly betraying his calm voice "i'm guessing i didn't manage it"
-
Jack looks over the top of his Book slowly, and strightens slightly "...hi, i'm Jack"
at least thats what he said, his thoughs where more along the lines of unmitigated panic, and a dozen or so swear words, as he spoke he though "just keep calm, it will all be cool" -
not a bad story, but for one small point, Boom town was destroyed during the Rikti war thais a Zone iscripton from in game
[ QUOTE ]
Baumton was the city's first marketplace, where tradesman and farmers went to sell their wares. After the Rikti invasion, people started calling it Boomtown, because the devastation reminded them of a bomb crater. It's pretty dangerous. If I were you, I wouldn't go in without a few other heroes for backup. The place is infested with those Clockwork robots. They look like toys, but they cause plenty of havoc by stealing bits of machinery and metal from all over. Even worse, a giant Clockwork monster called Babbage prevents any pacification of the zone. Be especially careful of him.

good story fro the most part though. -
Jack watched the other student from over the top of his book, being ignored was hard when you 6ft tall at 14, nearly 15 he reminded him self, watched the arrival of the land rover through the window, and watched with symthay as the girl tryed to dissmiss her mother, as she approced the door he returned to his book, returning to the inaginary world of Auther in his own childhood "Sword in the stone" was comfort reading, this place was strange, not bad strange, but strange none the less.
He sighed, running his hands through his mop of starkly white hair, the apprently deep tan of his skin contrasting.
this was going to be a weird year, half a world away from home and family, in a "special" school, still if he could get through the first term with out getting in to a fight it would be somthing, techers and perants alike tended to get up set with breaking some one elses arms, even if you only ment to dislocate the shoulder.
Looking up once more, he saw a dark haired kid walking down the stairs. "wonder what this is about then" he murmured to himself. -
he busy, RL stuff, be calm, take deep breaths and all that Jazz.

Guests will get the opportunity to try the latest in body scanning and imaging technologies designed by Josephine Mathers
[/ QUOTE ] Pff, supporting local buisnesses, you could have gone to your friendly, non-cloned hero making megacorp for that stuff! Megacorps always get a bad rep. :<
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey.. Jo offered! And she IS a close personal friend! (And Ellie got it dirt cheap too!)
Ellie rather likes ZorTel Industries products actually (not just because of the nice contract she landed either!), and if Jo hadn't offered, she would have called them for a quote!
[/ QUOTE ]
Plus Jo ended up accually buying the hardware from Zortel (she buys all her components that she can't make from them or Drake) so they where involved, but is a entirly custom system, and one of the things QS wants to talk to Zorielle about. -
QS (Jo Mathers) will be there, will probally be dressed in her usal slightly slakerish/indie fashion (Unless Ellie Has made her dress up) and will chat generally, and answers questions people have aobut hte tech in the shop.

Unfortunately, Cass is right. the game is heavily, heavily slanted towards PVP. However, as with CoH that doesnt stop me from trying.
[/ QUOTE ]PvP? Hell no, the game is built totally around PvE, and about 90% of the playerbase spend more time PvE'ing...
However, being built around PvE doesn't of course mean that the game would be focused on roleplaying
(As slightly OT, heard an interview of the GW makers and grinched every time the refered to PvE as 'roleplaying' *shudder*)
[/ QUOTE ]
max, what do faction point get you? and whats the advantage of unknow objects? and the signet of capture to get the Elite skills? oh thats right, they unlock stuff for PvP, most of the PvE game is set up to grind out extra skills and items to use in PvP. -
you do? it is a good game, with a good mechanic, the economey is a disaster (people almost bever use gold, sell stuff for platinum) buti guess if you can stay out in the fully instances extrior most of the time is good fun, and it kicks wow square in the nuts for vistas and gameplay.
-
never try Guild Wars mate, it looks great, but it would drive you nuts, it's Pure PvP, the "Roleplaying campain" is jsut a place to discover items for the PvP side. it's mental.
-
Guild Wars is not a Rolepaying game at all. not even a little bit. was on it this morning, it only has 20 (very easy to get) lvls but for some reson people where still offering Pl sevices. i have to leave at that point.
and the GGers being hardcore? not me lass
and yes, Onion has lots of nice peopel on it, stasis being one of them.
not MaX though, hes a right B******and is on defiant.
-
would like to keep that setting, when are you thinking about getting started?
-
becasue i play something Called Counterstrike:source, and i'm sorry, but compared to that, PvP in CoH tends to dull me out a bit.
but yeah, i get why it should be good. -
having read it, i am some ehat intrested, we shall see how it goes.
-
just not feeling it atm?
will you still be about in game though? -
oh, she not intrested in Doc like that...
-
can't i stay fro even a bit of peril? sure there is more than enough to go round...
-
naughtly shimmer, i think we might have to start the spankings...

And gotten isn't a word.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd consider gotten in direct speech a word. Plus, from Wikitionary: gotten
(US) Past participle of to get.
[/ QUOTE ]
Zortel's right. "Gotten" is in fact the original version of the word, but someone shortened it to "got". Blame Shakespeare*, he's responsible for most of our versions of words. Except "boredom", Charles Dickens invented that.
*Just because.

and that silly sod Dr johnson, who "standarised" the spelling of english, or as it apprent, chose the spellings he liked best and put them in, the git. -
being considerably less dead to day, i decied that QS would jsut be absent this weekend, busy working away, with out even going home, so is probally in all sorts of touble...

-
Damn it wilf, i am not a refugee... *mutters something about crazy empaths*
he's right though -
it appers my post is invisable... i agreed with wordy, it is a good idea, and i have done so, as it was indeed the right thing to do.
-
ahhh, so you ment "has anyone PMed Finn about this?" rather than asked, as we can't, if we could, there wouldent be a problem would there.
and yes, a very good idea, Max should do it at once! or i can, eithers good.
Edit: i did it, as sooner is better than later, but Max, feel Free to send one too. -
no wordy, as he's not on for two weeks, hence the problem...
