I think those are the only real roles in the game and Kheldians can do damage, tanking, stealth and control and I think that is where our intended strengths are. Both Kheldians do various debuffs, but as a side effect of our damage rather than in a specific way like defenders or controllers.
PB's get a heal, but that really feels like it was just stuck on rather than a designed extra role, and this is where I feel the numbers fail on this occasion.
I really think that boosting these aspect wouldn't be out of line. -

Well at some point it fun to try something else without having to level from 1 to 50 again. The more options the more fun. Thats why I try to play the jack of all trades in all games I play but they are always the hardest to balance.

If originaly we were meant to be jack of all trades and they buffed our damage enough to make people think that we are a class meant only for dmg. I think that a change towards our controller/protector abilities should be buffed in some way. Hard thing to do yes but it doable.
you keep saying we are not effective enough as controller to control... thats exactly the point. The devs should be trying to find a way to make those abilities a bit stronger. It would only give people more options as to how they play.
So far our tanking if fairly nice and our dmg output is really good. But the control and protector elements could use some love.

I know people don't like to hear this but when I was playing WoW I was playing a shaman the jack of all trade of the game. and for many years only the healing spec was viable. But i was one of those hard headed who wanted to deal dmg. I could have said like the others '' we are clearly meant for healing our other abilities are not strong enough'' But I didn't and eventually they buffed them do be able to dmg fairly well. You just have to keep believing in the devs

So I am infact still wondering what your objection is to you or anyone else putting that sort of disclaimer in. Because I'll be honest it seems to bother you alot when I do exactly that.
You seem under estimate us ''noobs''. If we read the forums we will likely try to get info from as many people as possible. If a person spend more than 30 minutes on the boards they will find out that tri-form is the strongest of the builds but that a all-human could perform really well given the proper build and enh sets.
One thing that is not helping the comunity is seeing you both getting back at each other for some subtilities. You both have very valid points and I find that AlienOne as always been very helpful to anyone around here, where you Obsidian on the other hand you stand out as a rude person.. In the end what people remembers is that Alien is helpful and you are rude so likely that people will follow AlienOne's advice before yours. That's just my 2 scents i have been back to the game for about 1 month and been following the forums and thats how I feel about it. -
hey Alien I noticed we are both playing on freedom... your sg wouldnt be looking for a 38 WS and 45 PB by any chances ?

Yeah I played for about 4 days and I kept going why is this not like coh. The quest are too much like WoW and the customization is just plain bad. The powers are not as fun as CoH. and there is not enough strategies with the power combos. And the story is sooo corny there..
Its just my opinion but for me CoH stays on top.
ps : the customization is not THAT bad its just there seems to have less options there a part from the model size customisation. -
the population went down since Champions online beta is out ? personaly I tried it and its not for me. because they got nothing as cool as Kheldians !!!

Abouve is the original post. He is quite clear when he asks an efficiency question.
Did he ask what was more fun? No.
Did he state a prefered style? Nope.
Did anyone on these forums provide him any useful information with which he could make informed logical fact and efficiency based decisions? A few but most drove right into their personal style preference for funzies and not efficiency with absolutely no thought to anything but a gut feeling with no statistical back up, and a total unwillingness to acknowledge that the whole game is based on statistics, its how the damn game is balanced!
And yet people continue to say you don't need math and figures to determine effectiveness. Bullcrap.
I'm so sick of this fluffy cloud mindset that allows people to make any claim they want no matter how wrong or ridiculous because not only do they feel they don't ever have to prove anything but the majority of the forums just rolls along with it without question.

Yeah, I see the light now, this is how the Kheldians will get better, total denial of anything we don't like no matter what facts and numbers say. We can just live oblivious to anything not supporting our views and preferances.

I played my WS this weekend and got from 14 to 26 and I think its the most fun I had in CoH. I love the aoe combinations and stygian circle omg this power is so useful. When I started my PB I loved it a lot more than my blaster but now my WS feels soo good. I love the fact that there is almost no downtime.
Thanks for the guide even though ill probably have to respec in a little while for the enh slots. -

I'm still at work, having nothing to do I'm wondering about macros. I saw a few in previous posts but I realize I don't even know where to enter them.
The most important thing for me would be when I switch forms I'd like my action bar to change automaticly and also have a button to swithc my forms I guess.
I'm using a g15 keyboard and completly forgot to check if they have premade macros for the game. -

Hi, I played CoH 2 years ago and only for about two months. I had leveled a blaster to 35 and wanted to play WS and PB so bad but stopped playing before I reached 50. Now I just came back to the game and leveled my blaster to 50 and now I have a 45 PB and a level 15 WS. I think I prefer my WS even if it's lower atm.
The thing is that in 2 years a lot has changed in the game and not that I knew everything before (Yes, I'm a bit noobish concerning info). So I come here everyday while at work to get some info about building Khelds. BTW thanks for all the active posters you guys help me alot.
But the thing is now I'm close to 50 with my PB but my enh are all normal enh no sets and stuff like that. I don't really know the sets and all but I'm looking to socket my PB and prepare for a good build for my WS. both of them are intended to be tri-form.
Since I was back only recently you could guess I don't really have a lot of influence. So Could any of you more experienced guys show me a good build I could use for both WS and PB at 50 and a good decent slothing sets for them ? -
