  1. Damn, I was hoping for a nice looking city. Kindof like Atlas park with expensive skyscrapers/etc. Right now every zone looks like a combo of Kings/creys (all beat to hell).

    Got my fingers crossed for a future update....

    If Flash Arrow works in a similar way, then, based on Castle's numbers (with Defender debuff modifier), we can expect the Acc Debuff to be 12.5%. Slotted up with SOs, that brings us to about 25%. Which means, an even leveled minion is going from 50% accuracy to 37.5% (or thereabouts), mitigating incoming damage by about 25%.

    Don't forget to factor in RAD/DARK also have heals on top of the debuff incase shots get through (along with the better debuff...)

    Whatever grok means...go back a few posts when this was brought up the first time. Just about EVERY power stacks with others of the same type. We don't get any other -ACC powers, so FA is useless as a fully slotted debuff....in a set that has no heal. So, since we cant heal (without an interuptable powerpool), it's primary function should be to debuff ACC so we don't need to. But again, I'm not saying it needs to be an uber debuff, but give us something comparable to other sets...who HAVE heals.

    You can't honestly tell me that you notice ANY difference aside from -perception when you FA a mob.

    But its not. With an 8% debuff, you're getting hit 9 times out of 10. For a debuff set that has no heal, there should be SOME tangible damage mitigation. I'd be happy with a long recharge, and a larger (20%?) debuff...right now it's only useful as a -perception power.

    [/ QUOTE ] It isnt' worthless. What's more is that it's the ONLY -ac debuff you have....AND...it stacks with other +DEF and -Acc debuffs. If the devs change the way +DEF works, it will dramatically improve in worth against +X mobs.

    It IS worthless, what other -ACC or +DEF powers do we get...powerpool maneuvers is all I can think of. Just because it's the only -ACC we get doesn't mean it's at all useful in the heat of battle. Bone is right, you might get hit once less out of 20 shots...wow

    At level 2 maybe. There is no way that Flash Arrow comes anywhere close to doubling the Defense of even a remotely competantly built Super Reflexes Scrapper.


    And a question: Just wondering where you get the acc debuff as being 20%? Because the tested numbers I've seen peg it as being alot lower, more like 7%. I certainly dont feel it's anywhere close to 20% when I use it, so Im curious.

    It IS unnoticable...I've 3 slotted the thing with debuff SOs, and it's the worst 5 slots I've ever chosen (2 ACC). I've stopped using it in fights becasue it just wastes time. The only time I ever bring it out is when I don't want extra aggro from another group.

    [/ QUOTE ] Standard grenades in the military do their damage from concussion and shrapnel...most of the damage is from shrapnel. The fire damage is incidental if there is any. There are incindiary grenades which are intended light things on fire. Whether Exploding Arrow is one or the other is arbitrary...but the idea that it would be all smash/lethal is totally plausible even if it is not convenient.

    Have you missed the giant expanding fireball when it explodes? I realize you're talking more about real grenades, but there's CLEARLY enough fire to ignite a slick there...

    You know they'd say that holding is a controllers job...but I think it would be fine...hell, masterminds get an AoE type hold (the puke power that looks like poison gas) and they arnt dominators....but an AoE hold that early in the set?...hmmm

    I like the suggestion that holds do 1 pt of damage. Or 0.01 pt. I don't care. As a scrapper and tank enthusiast, I like my targets still. The hold that stopped them is as valuable as my hit.

    Make debuffs do 0.01 pt of damage per tick of time. See above.

    Figure out a way to add that 0.01 pt damage to any mob hit by a buffed teammate. That's the hard code...tell me, though, that there aren't a thousand guys waiting to get a crack at coding something like that and get paid for it.

    If what controllers and defenders are designed to do does not reap rewards, then 1) I will not play those ATs and 2) they will lose their effectiveness.

    This game is trying to give casual people a fun game while at the same time hardcore people a fun game. Hardcore people have Hamidon enhancements while casual people enjoy the story arcs and other things.

    Jonbo, we get it...you're stance is pretty well known by now, you've posted 40 times in every hammy thread. You are however pretty biased on the issue since you're in JL with most likely over 70% full of HOs. Most of us hardly have one, even though we've been to many successful raids.
