    I sure hope the effects of this power are deletable before 20 minutes ... I don't want some terd I don't know, running up to me, using their power, and now i'm debuffed for the next 20 minutes with no way to prevent it/remove it.

    The effect is NOT deletable, however, you are given a confirmation as to whether or not you accept having your fortune told. If you say 'No,' you get no fortune and the person who cast it now has to wait the full recharge time to try again.

    ...so it's a power that's never going to get used because nobody's going to want to chance getting a bad debuff for 20 minutes that they can't remove. Awesome!

    Given the confirmation dialog, I don't. But I still see it as being useless. Unless the debuffs are minor and the buffs are really good, but that'd make it too good for an item pack power.

    Imagine this: you are invited to a Lady Grey TF and don't know what to bring. You get your fortune read on your brute, and it's negative. So you log out and bring your rad instead.

    The unlockables are for your custom creations in the architect, such as enemy groups and contacts. They are not for your player character.

    I seriously doubt that other game will have more costume options than COH has right now, at this moment, but that's just me.

    It never ceases to amaze me how people demonize extremes to make their point. This example suggests that because one person is pre-occupied making a story arc, that there aren't hundreds of people just idling, looking for something to do. Why does it always come to extremes with these examples? lol

    How about this:

    "Oh, OK. I'm gonna ask some of the other 38 people standing around the market if they want to run a mish, surely 7 of those 38 is up for something."

    First, it will deflate the population of potential teammates. Want to run that Sewer Trial for the badge, and for the fun of it, because you haven’t run one in forever? Want to run the 2nd respec task force to re-do your character’s slots or powers? Want help taking down Infernal? Well, guess what? Your pool of participants will be reduced by the MA in a real, and not-insignificant way - those potential teammates who could have joined you are working - whoops! I meant to say “writing” - MA arcs and aren’t playing as characters..

    As they've said many times before, closed beta helps them get things fixed better and faster. Rather than having a few thousand people on who just want to play, they have a smaller number who are actually interested in testing and helping make it better. Besides, it's not like it will stay closed all the way until release. You'll have your chance to try things out sooner or later.

    Because everyone in beta is a good tester, amirite? There are testers who might log in a few times just to keep themselves eligible for betas (and keep getting invited), and at any rate, logging in a few times to fiddle around with things isn't really testing.

    Sorry, that's just all. I've defended deb decisions in the past, but this is insane. Why are heroes rewarded much better for a vastly simplified easy mode version of the villain counterpart? I am beside myself honestly. This is the kind of thing that makes me wonder why I bother.

    Someone really needs to look at those COV family though. The untouchable badge requires CoH Family bosses, they are sparsely scattered in missions and in Nerva, and some of the Family bosses in Nerva give credit towards gangbuster instead. Ask Phil and the people that place mobs to look at the family bosses for Marcone in the description (placed mobs in Nerva and Sharkhead). Also when the rewards were removed from the infamous family farms, the family bosses lost all progress towards the Untouchable badge.

    I really agree with this. Ideally, Untouchable should be made unavailable for villains, all Family bosses would count for Gangbuster, and the weapon options that unlock for Untouchable would also be available for Gangbuster.

    Sure, lets take badges away from people that worked hard to earn it, so you don't have to. Clearly we have different definitions of "ideal". lol

    Unless you are a villain with all possible badges earned.
    Then you suddenly go into the big pond, with goals that include badges that are impossible to get like the first anniversary badge for hero side.

    I think what is meant here is the ability to combine objectives in your mission.

    For example "Find the clue, kill the boss, escort out the prisoner, oh, and you have 12 minutes."

    So, here is my situation. I own all the special editions, and all the in game packs etc for my acocunt. I currently play on my MAC via Bootcamp. So...

    If I put COH on my MAC OS, with the game packs I already own, will it automatically unlock the Valkrye items, or do I need to buy the game for the MAC and "upgrade" all over again?

    I believe it's the latter. You have to buy the mac client to get the exclusives, but when you log in, you will still have all the exclusives you already had.
