I have never had anyone complain when my kin/rad shows up to a GM or AV fight...I think you must have been dealing with a group who had a particular debuff in mind that they wanted. Try to not let it get to you. Just have fun playing and find people who can appreciate your skillz!

Hi, Alyssa! You're going to love it here! Not sure there's an MMO more fun and accessible than this one, and Justice is the place to be - great people, awesome events, enjoyable teaming, fun dicussions, skilled advice from knowledgeable vets, and free straight jackets. Who wouldn't love that?
My first was a Praet brute too. Made her a hero at 20. She's now 50 and still a blast to play. I have to agree with what's been written - brutes are not tanks. Try both; they're both fun to play. You'll be glad you did, and you'll soon discover if you have a preference for one over the other.

According to Paragon Wiki, Troll Raves only happen at night. I was of the mistaken belief they had something to do with a low-level mission you get that says "Stop the troll rave in Skyway," which is just a defeat trolls mission.
