During the cutscene of the 3rd mission of the LRSF (Defeat Future Freedom Phalanx), Manticore "wigs out" for lack of a better term. He rapidly plays the draw arrow animation repeatedly. This only started with the arrival of i14, where I also noticed many enemies seem to "fast-forward" their idle animations (pounding fists, etc).

[/ QUOTE ]

This also. I witnessed a rather funny cutscene with Manticore having a animated fit. He looked like he was whipping himself on his back with his arrow. Either he loves being whipped or has an itchy back.

I've also seen many NPC's with broken emotes.
This includes the panhandlers (villain side), and the newsie (in front of the yellow line train in Atlas Park).
2. [ QUOTE ]

The powers Pocket D teleport, Base teleport, and Mission teleport are all getting interrupted somehow. In both animation and power execution. I will not be using anything, not even touching my mouse and the power will fail sometimes. Sometimes I can see the animations getting briefly interrupted and then quickly going back to continue the "casting teleport" animation.

[/ QUOTE ]

This bug.
I have seen this also, happened to myself and a team mate.
It has been intermittent.
3. Oh oh I've got another one.
Here is a snippet of the delightful broadcast on Freedom villain side today.

A player appeared unable to comprehend that the Caps Lock key is the equivalent of shouting, or, maybe he just feels cool when he shouts. Needless to say, it provided some very annoying and yet entertaining banter on global.

So, I have this friend, and he posts on these forums, and he's just kinda curious.

Are you hot?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah yes lets see. Let me put some data into the computer & see what image it spits out for you.

Subject is Female (but it would sure be funny if Talen found it's a guy). Subject spends a lot of time doing stuff with spreadsheets, involving a lot of sitting in front of a PC. Subject spends a lot of time doing math; likes to post a lot on the forums, and spends time gaming. All known activities are indoors.

Based on the known facts *boing boop bip bip* computer results are:

Calculated forecast no#1 (featuring Talen!)

Calculated forecast no#2 (with extra wishful thinking)

Calculated forecast no#3 (who's da man)

Calculated forecast no#4 (with extra cute)

6. Some of the badges criteria are not fair. And I've since given up on them.
Ever since I found out that more scrappers have the empath badge (for healing) than a defender... that threw logic out of the window for me then and there.

Those scrappers got their healing badge from the longbow warden in the arena heal farm. Without doing any healing themselves. So how the heck is this fair eh? They might as well hand out honorary awards to the melee types for other powers that are not in their power sets.

My 2 year old empath defender only got her 4th healing badge recently. And she does not have the pvp rep badges. And she is my main.

My dominator got the first healing badge from using aid other. Aid other dammit. You got any idea how long that took me? Then I found out about the arena farm, and I had a subsequent tantrum. And yes, my dominator (my main villain) also does not have the pvp rep badges.

Until glaringly ludicrous issues like this are sorted out, I don't ever see badges as being fair.

Oh and don't even get me started on all the players who got their pill box and heavy badges prior to those exploits being fixed. >_< along with other retrospective nerfs. This is why I have given up on the badge hunt.
7. To put an end to RMT emails, simply just implement the following:
<ul type="square">[*]Any account cannot send more than 5 emails per hour; and a max of 10 per day.[*]The email name/recipient has to be typed (remove the right-click-email option from the search screen)[*]Extra option in the options/miscellaneous section. 8. I just love this sort of broadcast:

"AE team LF level 50's only. PST!"
Then you join team, to find that the leader is level 7.
9. New and improved, with extra strong, ultra-elite, super scary Clown Control. So scary, it makes Positron have nightmares!
10. I don't care how much positron hates clowns.

I STILL WANT MY CLOWN CONTROL POWER SET!!!1!

Gimmeh!

*end of tantrum*

Yes, I did make a thread on this about a year ago. Yes, it got varying arguments for/against, with several players telling me Posi hates clowns.

How could they remove the chicken tug??? This completely screws up all of my fantastic RP arcs! Why do the devs hate RP??? I pay $15/month, I should be able to play the way I want! If this change is permanent, I may have to cancel my account! We'll see how long CoX lasts THEN!

[/ QUOTE ]

I admit I lol'd.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know which is funnier...

(a) someone is threatening to quit over losing his chicken tugging emote...

or

(b) This wild future scenario: (50 years in the future -- a bunch of developers from another game, discussing changes to their animation)

BabBles : Dude, I spent 4 weeks making that duck-plucking animation. I even got it so the soft downy feathers fluffed off, and the duck would quack.

PosiTive : Look, as lead Dev, I have to answer to the players about this, seriously, the duck plucking is being abused by all the lazy farmers in game. Every time they pluck-a-duck, some level 1 newb goes from 1 to 20. All they are learning is how to be lazy duck-pluckers.

BabBles : *sad face*

SynUs : Could we change the duck to a peacock? Or a squirrel!

War Woman : Can I go? If this meeting is just about ducks and feathers, then I'd rather be.. *interrupted by Lord RecKless*

Lord RecKless : THIS is MORE than just being about ducks being plucked. You all remember what happened to that old hero MMO back in the early 2000s right? What was it called... Heroes of the City or something...

SynUs : It was City of Heroes. How could you not know that? If YOU were half the geek I am, you would have had 4 servers full of 50s like me and almost all of them fully badged out, except I could never quite beat that Beefcake guy...

Lord RecKless : Shut up nerd. MY point is, that old hero game removed some chicken animation from the game and *interrupted by SynUs*

SynUs : It was the Chicken-Tug animation. Chicken-tug!

Lord RecKless : *gives SynUs the evil eye* Right... chicken-tug. Anyhow, they removed this chicken thing from the game, and then one player cracked a mental over it. And he was then followed by a mass exodus from the game, and the company went broke. It was like SWG all over again, but over a fowl. My point is, PosiTive, we need to consider this before we make changes.

BabBles : *looks towards PosiTive with hope*

PosiTive : Fine fine. Bunch of sooks. BabBles, change the animation so when the npc is disturbed, they throw the duck at the enemy. Make it lay an egg when it lands and have some feathers float about. Now, next order of business - who is actioning that list of base improvements?"

Any updates on this?

[/ QUOTE ]

I just looked into my crystal ball
It was shiny
There was a glimmer of hope in the future
And the crystal ball spoketh
With the sound of Golem's voice:

"Hear Ye'! Hear Ye'!
Shiny o' crystal I be!
With future updateth of i fifteen
Thus for-after be Halloween
Thou fate then falleth to going rogue
Followed by winter event of mighty cold
A patch in decades future will fix your base
With city vault falling in line last place."

Interpreted as: my gut feeling is, they will develop the city vault around the same time they address the base issues.

As in, never :P
13. Some prude probably *gasped* at the term "Lesbian", and ASSUMED there would be hot naughty babes, wearing tiny pieces of lycra, rubbing oil all over each other and having a play pillow fight, along with a jelly wrestling match.

Then that player probably got aroused, and, subsequently embarrassed themselves, and got all paranoid that another player could have an affect on them (all of this from reading the word "LESBIAN").

OR

The prude probably shuddered at the thought of &lt;insert name of someone they care about in game&gt; experiencing this fantasy.

Or maybe its just some nerd, who is vindictive, and madly trying to cull content from the AE list, in order to prop their own arc further up the list.

*edit -- text added here* My point is, the person that reported it probably did not even play your arc nor learn anything about it. I honestly would not be surprised that they saw the term "lesbian" in the title &amp; reported it, the same as they would have reported content with "farm" in the title (when it would have been a parody about farms, such as the farm parody my friend made full of spotty moo cows, in the outdoor croatoa map. It was quite good actually. Shame though).

I try to visit the forums once a week.

[/ QUOTE ]So then you missed the announcement of the festivites last week?

[/ QUOTE ]I did not see anything about the event on my previous visit to the forums, otherwise I would NOT be in this situation

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Unlike some people, I do not walk around with my personal computer strapped to my rump, fervently waiting for the next big news about COH to enlighten my life. I actually work long hours, have a real life to live, and responsibilities that leave me very little time to enjoy the pleasures of my heroes, and with what little time i do have, I spend it actually PLAYING and not lurking in the forums.

[/ QUOTE ]Get off your high horse. You're not the only one with responsibilities, a job, and all that. But plenty of people managed to take the 10 seconds it takes to check the announcements, or the City main page, to see if anything new had been announced.

[/ QUOTE ]Way to go using insults *clappity clappity*. No high horse here. Was trying to describe that I do not visit the forums as fervently as other players do. And this is the ONLY forum I have ever used and ever posted on, if that gives you an idea. You have no idea what responsibilities and problems I have in my life, so don't try to trivialise my situation in comparison with your own/others. Also, it takes me more than 10 seconds to open the forums, then about half an hour to skim through the latest posts and hot topics. I am NOT a forum guru, I still struggle using the damned thing. Take a look at when I registered and the number of posts I have made. There are people who joined after me with an extra 2 digits to that number. SO do not assume that I have the same forum knowledge as you. I know other players in game who have NOT registered on the forums yet either. But I'm sure you would just pooh-pooh that concept also.

I already said that the coh launcher has always been used to announce events, and was not used this time.

[/ QUOTE ]And what if it was? You'd just be complaining about that, too. "They put it in the launcher, but they only did it 1 day before! DEVS HAET AUSTRALIA!"

[/ QUOTE ]Oh nice one. This shows how constructive and polite you can be. I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere, that the forums are intended for constructive criticism, and not flamers or trolls. Here is something constructive - at least if they had put the message in the launcher (like they do with EVERY other event), I would have known it was coming up and could have made arrangements to somehow get time to be involved in the event, and, my friends would also have known about it too (and they also missed out). Oh and the part about Australia? Do you seem to have trouble comprehending, that we are 12 hours behind you? Therefore, a lot of this time is in our midnight hours, followed by day break and people going to work? Can you not see why I am frustrated by this? Every other event is always scheduled over windows of time periods to allow greater flexibility for people to be involved.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
They could have just done the same thing as the scheduled rikti raids, and announce various week days that the event takes place with varying hours, so at least a greater portion of the player base might get a chance to enjoy the event.

[/ QUOTE ]And how would that make it an Anniversary event?

[/ QUOTE ]If that is your rational, then they better remove the anniversary badge as it is no longer the anniversary. Oh wait -- you can get the badge for a whole month. How is the event any different? Your argument lacks substance. While you're at it, go back in time and remove all five anniversary badges from characters that were not logged on the specific day of the respective anniversaries. Then your argument will mean something to me.

They could run one at the time that they start work, and in the last hour before they finish work, that way those on the other side of the planet might somehow be able to join in the fun.

[/ QUOTE ]So...approximately the same exact time the event ran. What's your complaint again?

[/ QUOTE ]I must apologise in this instance, I did not explain myself fully. I was hoping for something like split-shifts of the devs, and so that there was a definite zone event in the very first hour and last hour (as players had been complaining of nothing happening during certain periods of the 13 horus). If I had KNOWN the event was being run in advance, and got some time off to attend, I would have been ONLINE for either the first or last hour. Does that make sense now?

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
It's like there was a fun party with all the cool devs, and they only invited the USA and told the other half of the planet to bugger off. The events always revolve around what suits the USA, and I do understand a large chunk of the player base lives there along with all the devs; but they have always made efforts in the past to include more time windows and dates for such events. Having to log in at 4am or take leave from work to play a game is sadly not possible for me.

[/ QUOTE ]Did you miss the people in this thread from non-USA countries that said they attended? It lasted for 13 hours. Unless you have an especially long workday, there would be opportunity for you to take part no matter where in the world you lived, if you really wanted to. And you know what? People all over the world *did* take part.

[/ QUOTE ]At the time that I first posted, I did not see a single Aussie player post on attending the event, but then, I didn't read every single thread in the announcements section either. Not that it matters, as I was stating how I feel. But I'm sure some Ozzies got into the fun, not everyone was working on that day I guess. I'm pretty sure a lot of players took time off work for this, as they knew it was happening. And I'll repeat again, my email turned up ONE day before, and I was NOT able to get time off at such short notice. If I had not turned up for work, I face losing my job. As much as I enjoy this game, it is NOT worth losing my job over. And for the record, I work a 12 hour day, and half hour drive each way to/fro from work.

[/ QUOTE ]

And I am still upset that I missed this event.
I really hope that the devs run this again when more players can be involved, and send me the email one week in advance this time
15. [ QUOTE ]

Ignoring the other forms of notice.... this was an anniversary event. Of course, it will take place on the anniversary. It is not a big secret which day the anniversary occurs.

Admittedly, it would have been nice to run it on a weekend, but as you acknowledged, the spawns needed to have an element of control by a dev. Though it may have inconvenienced you, the player in Australia to miss out on this.... it would inconvenience them, the developers to work a weekend, likely, they are salaried employees and would do so without getting paid. I would imagine it would be a greater inconvenience to have you pay their overtime.

[/ QUOTE ]

When did I ignore other forms of notice? I already said I rarely get time to visit the forums, that does NOT constitute ignorance.
Unlike some people, I do NOT have access to the internet from work. I have to use my home PC for this luxury.

I try to visit the forums once a week.

I already said that the coh launcher has always been used to announce events, and was not used this time. I also said that playNC sent me the announcement email ONE DAY before the bloody event. The fact that they sent this email to others a week in advance and myself less than a day in advance was unfair.

They could have just done the same thing as the scheduled rikti raids, and announce various week days that the event takes place with varying hours, so at least a greater portion of the player base might get a chance to enjoy the event.
They could run one at the time that they start work, and in the last hour before they finish work, that way those on the other side of the planet might somehow be able to join in the fun.

And no, I do not have the CoH anniversary tatooed on my forehead nor fondly scrawled in my diary. I had no idea when it was happening. And yes, I have been around for years. I never paid attention to the anniversaries in the past, as there never was an event tied to it in the years I've been playing.

I know how this sounds, but after reading pages of "gee this was awesome" and then being patronized back with "you didn't miss out on anything spectacular or anything else you can achieve in game", of course I am going to be pissed off.

16. I got my email announcing this event 1 day before the event.

I would have at least expected the coh launcher/start up screen to advertise this event, and long in advance, as, this is what they normally do for events. But not so in this case.

I rarely get time to visit the forums, let alone post in them.

And the time period this event was being run, was whilst I was at work.

I criticized the lack of consideration and gave feedback suggesting they run this over a weekend, over various time windows (I am aware that a dev or NC employee has to control those spawns).

Don't label me as a 'whiner'. I have every right to feel the way I do, and post my point of view. I even gave constructive feedback. I am sure I am not the only person who feels this way.

I fall into the category of pissed off, and, hoping that they run this some time over a weekend (with more than one day's notice).
17. This was poorly announced (not enough notice) and running it on a weekday was pretty stupid.

Not all of us live in the USA, some of us live on the OTHER side of the globe.

I could not participate in this, as, during this 13 hours I was at work.

Very dissapointed. Great to see that anyone outside of the US and with a job is so easily ignored.

It would have been better for customer satisfaction to run this over a weekend, announcing in advance the specific time frame/windows that the zone events would take place. Then players would have a better chance to get involved.

I am bitterly disspointed by the lack of consideration for players real-life commitments/situations.
18. I wouldn't call this a made up problem.

2 of my global friends have cancelled their accounts due this.

Myself, I am yet to receive an invite to anything that is NOT a MA farm.

I have to rely on my few remaining global friends who still play, in the chance they are on at the same time as myself.

I used to make a lot of new friends doing PuG missions prior to i14. Since it's release, things have changed. While I don't mind farming, I am significantly enjoying the game a LOT less than I used to. I do love the potential of the AE, but I am NOT enjoying what Atlas Park has turned into.
19. This is NOT an anti-farming thread. Please post anti-farming comments elsewhere

We all know farming has been here since day 1 (apparently) and it isn't going to go away anytime soon. I am fine with that.

We also know a lot of players are upset with the visual appearance of increased farming since the introduction of the mission architect.

I have a possible solution that I thought I would throw out there for discussion.

Remove the AE buildings from Atlas Park, Steel Canyon and Talos.

Those that want to be farmed will then go to other zones. Lowbies can head over to Galaxy for their farms.

This brings Atlas Park back to it's former visual appearance, without all the 'looking for AE farm' messages being spammed in broadcast. Atlas will go back to the zone for costume contests, sewer team sign-ups, other competitions/events, etc. A large chunk of the zone lag will be reduced.

I also suggested removing the AE from Talos and Steel Canyon, as they are common transit zones (and Talos used to be a lag-fest prior to the AE).

This means players won't have to delete broadcast from their chat box, they won't be fronted with it when rolling a new character in Atlas, new players will be born in Atlas without all the farm messages in their face and might actually look to do some of the original content that does not consist of farming and enjoy some of the arcs that were created by the devs.

*throws thread open for discussion*
20. Objective Feedback:
<ul type="square"> [*]Custom bosses in the MA are too easy to defeat (compared to outside of MA). They also appear to have no damage resistance, and no mez/status effect resistance.[*]Custom bosses should NOT be able to be set to standard (pushovers). They should at least be set to a minimum DEFAULT of HARD (at least for ONE of their power sets).[*]Custom MELEE foe type powersets are unbalanced. i.e. being able to make a custom melee foe that is broad sword/martial arts is unbalanced, as it has NO defense/damage resistance. You end up with a foe that is INCREDIBLY easy to defeat.[*]The following Archetypes and power sets are missing from the custom critter creator:
Corrupters: poison, traps.
Stalkers: HIDE ability.
Peace bringers
Warshades
Villain Epics Archetypes (crab/bane spiders, and, widows).[*]Mayhem and Safeguard maps are missing.[*]Spawn points on several maps are incorrect. When setting a boss to appear at the "BACK" of a map, I have encountered many at the FRONT of the map instead. Spawn points need to be reviewed on all maps.
Subjective Feedback:
<ul type="square"> [*]I feel players are exploiting the MA, by being able to set up custom bosses that have no defensive set, and with a standard setting, this makes bosses a complete pushover. The bosses inside the MA are ending up much easier to defeat compared to a lieutenant outside of the MA. [*]Under "NEW CUSTOM GROUP", the existing critter level ranges view is complicated. For example - when viewing the 5th column, minions, you end up with a long list, sorted by name. It would be incredibly handy if there was an option to SORT this list by level range instead.[*]Triggers. I would love to have a trigger, whereby if you move into a certain area of the map, it triggers an ambush. For example, think of mayhem missions, where a longbow ambush happens as you move over a part of the map, another trigger makes the PPD spawn when you stand in front of the vault, etc.[*]The limitation to being able to pick powers for my custom enemies is frustrating. I would like to be able to pick the individual powers from each set.[*]I would also like the ability to pick from other powersets that aren't available to heroes or villains. For example, I would love to be able to pick powers that the arachnoids have, powers from zombie hoard invasions, powers from rularuu, etc, to make a fascinating critter with the delight of not knowing what to expect. It would add a lot of diversity.[*]I would like the ability to make my own maps. Currently, I know the layout of EVERY map in game. So does most veteran players. This makes things VERY boring.
No suspense, no anticipation, no surprise.
I would love the ability to pick a map tile set (eg office), then plonk rooms onto the map, and decorate them. What I have in mind is similar to the supergroup base editor. PLEASE I really hope this is added some day.
21. Oh wow. Just wow.

You have no idea how much this offer pisses me off right now.

I would really love to take advantage of this offer, for both my own account &amp; my partner's account. I have the cash in my hot little hand, ready to pay for it.

*looks about for shops*

Oh... wait... I can't find a shop that sells PlayNC time cards (nor city of heroes time cards, nor city of villains, nor auto assault).

My account expires in a month.
My partners account expired in October.

And we BOTH want to play.
And I have cash.

I just need a shop here in Australia, that will actually *SELL* me the time cards. But there are none, they have all discontinued your time cards.

Please take note that I cannot pay by credit card.
I will repeat that i have CASH (the stuff accepted at all stores).
And that I am desperate to renew my partners account, and pay my own account, both with the 12 month plan.

Except I can't, as I cannot find a shop that sells your timecards.
Guess I won't be renewing then.
And no, you cannot have my stuff :P

Oh, for the record.
I have already posted on this issue several times before, linkies here:
<ul type="square">[*]Discussion: NCsoft Expands with New Game Cards [*]Discussion: NCsoft Expands with New Game Cards (my 2nd reply)[*]Discussion: International Game Time Card Retailers
I had another post somewhere, but that thread appears to have been purged.

Oooh and also I sent a PM to Lighthouse (who resigned a couple days later), and also to Ex Libris.

I have had 0 replies.

And they are still listing incorrect information here -&gt; International Game Time Card Retailers
As I have said before hand, which fell repeatedly on DEAF EARS, I repeat yet again -- EB games do NOT stock time cards for PlayNC. They advised me, they have DISCONTINUED them.

And QV software (who are a distributor, NOT a shop) have been unable to give me a supplier who sells them. They do have LOTS of suppliers (who I made many phone calls to), and NOT one, NO supplier stocks the time cards.

So in summary -- I don't think there is a single store in Australia where I can walk in, and purchase a time card with cash. That's just great business right there (sarcasm). Especially with the recession spreading like the plague across the planet.

Am I supposed to cry, or spout profanity, or strip off naked, or break a million forum rules, or kidnap positron to get any attention whatsoever to this issue? Or is this just a trivial matter that can be ignored? I never thought I'd see the day where a business won't accept cash for their product, this is just dumbfounding. And I have been asking for help, back in October for crying out loud, and have had ZERO response from PlayNC.

Dammit now I am being incredibly negative &amp; am pissed off.
Grumble. Sorry guys, but how am I supposed to feel about this? Guess I'll go put my rose coloured glasses back on &amp; use wishful thinking to hope they restock the cards some day.

I'll end on a positive note. I do like this bonus offer, that at least is a very good thing.
22. Base Repricing

1) How will the repricing of bases affect you personally?

I run a total of 4 SGs, all on the smallest plot size. Currently, NONE of them pay rent (they are rent free). In i13, ALL of them will have to pay rent, due to the items my bases contain.

Of these bases, 3 of them will continue to live on the smallest plot, they don't have enough prestige to upgrade. The i13 rent change will hurt these 3 bases (even if small), but the thing I dislike most, is paying rent is annoying. I joined this game to have fun &amp; relax, NOT to have to pay rent (I already do that in real life, I don't find rent fun in game :P)

However 1 of my bases has enough prestige that under the new system, I can actually afford a bigger plot &amp; upgrade, and the rent that this base will be paying is a lot better than the current (live) version.

2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the repricing?

Yes. ALL 4 of my bases. I run very small SG's, with myself &amp; about three other players. I want to recuperate as much as I can to improve the bases further.

3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice?

Of my four bases, three of them will take about an hour each (shuffling a couple of items, selling old rooms, buying new cheaper rooms, reshuffling items, and placing new cheaper power/control).
But my other base (no.4) has a lot of decorations &amp; a style that I don't want to lose, so, I will be taking screenies, noting what was in particular rooms, and then having to redecorate. In this case, the medical bay is the most detailed room, it will take me an estimated 4 hours to redecorate that room.

4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding repricing?

POSITIVE:
- I can now afford to upgrade all four of my small bases, with more power/control and finally telepads to all zones. I never thought I would see the day that I could FINALLY upgrade my plot. My first base I have been running for 3 years now and it is STILL on the smallest plot. i13 means I can upgrade it, I can afford it with the price reductions, and that has me very excited.

NEGATIVES:
- paying rent is annoying, I have enough bills in real life, that having to do this in game is a turn off.
- there has been much confusion in the past over rent &amp; when it is "REALLY" due.
- New SG members get confused/worried when they see "the rent is due" message pop up, especially if it happens every hour.
- the smallest 8x8 plot used to be rent free.
- paying rent based on storage doesn't make sense. If you don't want players to hoard items, implement my suggestions (see additional notes below).

5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term?

Short term - all of my bases which used to be rent free, now have to pay rent, even though the amount is small, I don't look forward to wasting time having to go &amp; pay it (I do not find that fun).

Long term, one of my bases will expand in majestic glory &amp; finally become the base I always wanted. The other 3 will remain on the smallest plot, &amp; I will be cranky every month having to go and pay rent on 4 bases on 4 different servers.
In a year, that means, I have to run over to the registrar 48 times. I am not looking forward to that :P

Base Salvage Exchange to Invention Salvage

1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation?

Base salvage came from a different drop pool, it had no personal worth to players, so players had no problem donating it to the SG.

Removing base salvage &amp; requiring invention salvage for bases creates a situation where members have to donate their "lewt" to the base, which is a VERY unpleasant situation, making me feel like the tax collector.

Also, this means that base designers will have to compete with the market place for invention salvage, which in turn market inflation &amp; the market flippers will benefit from.
I do not log into CoX to sit at the market place, I do not find that fun.

We were told that the invention system is "optional" and would not be forced on players. By making inventions a required item for supergroups, you have now forced SGs to use the invention system.

Also, I have thousands of components &amp; base salvage, I tried converting some of that to "brain storms" on test server, and my arm went numb from clicking the convert button. I was at it for nearly and hour, and that was a fraction of what I will have to do on live, which I am dreading. I wish there was a button to "convert all".

This move also went and made things a LOT more complicated. Converting base salvage to brain storms to inventions to base items? That is FOUR steps. The old system had three steps, and a lot less clicking involved.

As part of this change, the salvage racks had their capacity reduced to a ridiculous pittance of 30 items. This is the most negative feature to me of them all. I like being able to store a LOT of event &amp; special salvage, for my many alts, and my friends &amp; their many alts in my SG's. i13 has stripped the capability and fun out of that completely by reducing the storage capacity.

The storage limit of 30 invention pieces is NOT ENOUGH for a base editor to use when rebuilding their base in i13. If I go to rebuild my main base, and try to build the AES, turbine generator, various control items, telepads, etc, then one rack full of 30 pieces of invention salvage is NOT going to be enough. This will be a royal pain in the bum having to run back &amp; forth to wentworths &amp; log on/off alts to drop more stuff into bins, really, this is plain stupid, considering I never had to do this with my old rack.

If invention salvage is going to be a requirement for bases, then, please INCREASE the storage capacity to 100.

If you don't want players hoarding invention salvage in their bases, then, please refer to my suggestion under 'additional notes' at the end of my post!

2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation?

Nothing. It is a total negative.

3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system?

It took me an hour to get my head around brain storms &amp; inventions by discussion it with someone who was in beta.

There is a problem here though, HOW does anyone learn or find out about this feature without visiting the forums? There is NO tutorial nor notes on this in-game! You will have players coming back after time away, who don't read the forums, and they will be completely lost as to what is going on. If you want this to go live, you have to provide information IN GAME.

4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system?

I have four SGs, a lot of salvage to convert. I am not looking forward to having to convert all of that. I don't log in to play CoX to have to spend half a day clicking the "convert" button. Please tell me how that is fun? My arm went numb after an hour, and there is no easy way to convert other than 1 piece at a time. I must have at least 20,000 pieces of base &amp; component salvage to convert... are you getting the picture now?

5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change?

Security? There is no security, other than having to switch off base item removal privileges in the SG menu. The base community has been asking for specific privileges per item for years now, and nothing has been done.

If I want to craft a telepad now, and it requires a rare that one of my alts have, then I have to log her on, drop it in the rack, log back to my main character (that has editing privileges), and hope that the item is still in the rack &amp; wasn't taken. This is a royal PITA. At least no-one cared about stealing base salvage.
In my case, my members are friends who would not steal, but I do know other bases will have some serious problems with this.

Additional Notes:

I have 2 suggestions for the issue with base storage, as follows:

Option A:
Keep base salvage racks as they are. i.e. can store up to 9999 of event, special, base &amp; component salvage only (but NOT invention salvage).
Then, create a NEW rack, which can ONLY store 100 pieces of invention salvage, and limit this rack to 1 per plot. The Devs could fashion the NEW invention-only rack in the shape of a treasure chest for the "lewt" theme.
This way, bases can continue to store event/special/base/components without any change to the old volume restrictions. And over-hoarding can be prevented by limiting one treasure chest per plot (for invention only storage).

Option B:
Remove invention salvage COMPLETELY from any base requirements. Move all of the craftable base items into the base builder menu so they are readily available &amp; don't require crafting.
