Great Guide!!! A lot of players can learnd a lot from this.

Well for me you have to many attacks. I don't like to do all the combo of DB but if you like them that is up to you. I would skip them because they lower your DPS a lot. The only combo you really need to do is AV. With ok rechrege you can run BF>AV combo and get some good DPS out of it.
Now Vengeful Slice and OTC need to be slotted for Damage. They are attacks so slot them like an attack. Dead bad guys can't hurt you
I would also 6 slot BF it is one of the best power in DB and should be 6 slotted. slot it for an attack because that is what it is. -

Question 1: What is a good secondary for MA. I see most people choose SR, would Invuln or WP be good?
[/ QUOTE ]
All would be good with MA. All Scarpper combos are good, but MA/DA was voted the least play, but it is still a good combo.
[ QUOTE ]
Question 2: Is MA good for PvE?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, all Scrapper power are good some better then other but all are still very good. -
[ QUOTE ]
Gives about 204 DPS (but it is all smashing, and unlike other sets can't get -RES procs).
[/ QUOTE ]
You sure about that 204DPS? Because I did the DPS and only got 142.56DPS, but that was without the Gaussian Proc and I don't think the proc will add that much DPS because it is not always on. -
Well I don't have a scrapper on Virtue so it would be test for me.

[ QUOTE ]
Dark Consumption should be slotted for end recovery,
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok I'm sick of people saying this. It doesn't matter what you slot it with as long as you can hit and it recharges fast. If you can hit 3 +foes your going to have a full end bar. I like to slot mine with Obliteration because I like the Obliteration set bounes better. I'm not slotting it so I can do more damage I'm slotting because it can hit recharges fast and it as great set bounes. -
[ QUOTE ]
I disagree that Stamina requires two useless power choices. Since regeneration is a large part of your survivability, you know you want Health as well as Fast Healing, so you'll be in the Fitness pool anyways. The two mentioned toggles just don't do enough before SO levels to justify taking them before, and trying to keep them up is still going to be a burden, especially since you don't get QR on a Scrapper until 20 anyways.
[/ QUOTE ]
Regen is a big part for WP but DM gives you something better then the Health power. A heal that is up every 10 sec, that heal is better then having Health and DC takes the need for Stamina. So no stamina is not a must and no Health is not a must so you don't need to take the fitness pool with DM. Other Willpower build I would say take the fitness pool but with DM you really don't need it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Widows look awesome, but they have lower hit points than scrappers, right? That would seem to make them more susceptible to bad luck. On the positive side, when luck goes their way, look out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Way lower hit ponts then Scrapper. My lvl 50 Widow as 1111.06 Hit points, I have no accoladers and only one hit point bonus that gives my 40.16 hit points. -

Wow no love for Inv.
Looks like I'm off to make a Claws/SR Scrapper -

Really? Super Reflexes is underperforming? I know it's personal opinion but two posters noted this set. I'm a bit confused. :/
[/ QUOTE ]
Me to I'm confused too, I have 6 lvl 50 Scrappers 2 of them are /SR and they are not weak at all they are 2 of my best. I don't see how anyone could say /SR under underperforming when you now have Shield Defense. Shield Defense as lower Defense number and as lower Resistance to Defense of Debuff. Two big things a Defense set likes to have high. -
[ QUOTE ]
The OP did actually make specific mention of it, so, however you take it...
Anyone else noticing an amusing trend that lots of other ATs are coming to the Scrapper forums to get answers concerning their number crunching/build woes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ya I saw the OP say it after I read the one quote.
And yes I do find it very amusing that they come here to ask question.
Now if Umbral and Werner stop posting here they might stop.You two know way to much.

Every now and then, I see that my defenses get buffed by the enemy on a regular basis.

exactly which enemies are buffing you ?

Well I think he his talking about his defense being Debuffing, I don't know but the hole Negative defense question gives it away. -

sorry didn't see it was for a Tanker because you know this is the Scrappers Forums. -

AdjustedCastTime = (ROUNDUP( Casttime / 0.132)+1) * 0.132
smite=1.188
SL=2.112
MG=2.244
SP=1.056
((base recharge)/(required recharge)) - 1
To run SM>SL>SM>MG
MG need to recharge in 4.488
SL need to recharge in 4.62
Smite need to recharge in 2.112
So
Smite: 6/2.112-1=184%
SL:10/4.62-1=116%
MG: 15/4.488-1=234%
to run SP - SL - Smite - MG?
SP need to recharge in 5.54
Smite need to recharge in 5.412
SL needs to recharge in 4.488
MG needs to rechrage in 4.356
so
Smite: 6/5.412-1=10%
SL:10/4.488-1=123%
MG: 15/4.356-1=244%
SP doesn't need any rechrage. -

I was actually thinking of a build that fits this post quite well this morning. A Fire/Shield who only takes the "sword" powers (Fire Sword, Fire Sword Circle, Greater Fire Sword) to achieve a traditional sword n' board shielder. You could throw scorch in since its only one handed, but it'd be more aesthetically pleasing without it I'd imagine. Seemless attack chain is priority, followed by defense. GO!
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok here is my build It as soft capped defense solo. It can run the attack chain of FS>FSC>FS>GFS. Most of the time Hasten is not perma

What would be the actual attack chain time of FS-GFS-FS?
Their cast times are 1.33 for FS and 2.33 for GFS.
Because I've got FSC down to a 5.67s recharge.
Edit: FSC is now down to a 5.55s recharge
[/ QUOTE ]
Attack chain would be FS>FSC>FS>GFS
FS needs to recharge in 2.508
FSC needs to recharge in 5.676
GFS needs to rechrage in 6.072 -
Arcanatime = 0.132 x ( roundup(cast/0.132) + 1)
So
smite=1.188
SL=2.112
SP=1.056
So 1.056+1.188+2.112+1.056+1.188=6.6 -
Ok so far I have
1 vote for Inv
2 votes for DA
3 votes for WP
4 votes for regen
5 votes for FA
and 11 votes for SR -

Fitting in those three power pools is going to make it difficult to softcap...unless your not taking fitness also.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is not that diffiuclt at all. With SS, and SJ it gives you a lot of Blessing of the Zephyr which makes it a lot easier.
To the OP
Well without knowing more then just SJ,SS, and Med pool I came up with this build. It as soft capped defense and most of the attacks for MA. It as Super Jump, Super Seep, and the Med pool. I don't know if this is what you want.

OK this might be lame but I don't care.
I'm making a New Scrapper and the Primary is going to be Claws. I have all other Scrappers Primary above lvl 30 but Claws
Now I don't know what I want for the Secondary I have played all but Dark Armor past lvl 30(My Fire/Dark Armor is only 28 right now)
So I decided I would leave it up to a Vote by you guys, because you guys Rock
Now I know what all Secondary have to offer so All I want is you to Vote for a Secondary. After 2 or 3 days I would total up the votes and I will make the Scrapper that gets the most votes.
So what should I make a Claws/? -

Well ToF is a great power it just doesn't fit with most Scrappers builds. Me I don't like it because I just want to kill stuff and ToF holds up my killing
Also a lot of Scrappers here build to solo AV and ToF is no good for that.
Nothing is wrong with the power, It just doesn't fit into a lot of ppls build.
Also in i12(?) Dark Melee got a buff so it makes it a lot harder to make builds. Like having SL a must take now, I don't know all of the buffs to the set but Dark Melee is now a great set.
