So occasionally godmoding makes it better exactly how?

I've done a fair share of RP in CoV, but as RW mentions it was limited to SGs, missions and Pocket D... which now that I think about it is where it is done for my hero characters as well.

(My agreement or not with your reasons is totally irrelevant )

My main gripe with it is okaying Railroading, for some of us Railroading is capital punishment worthy sin. That said I can see how some form of control is needed in open RP, said control is discussed fine in your "Dealing with God Modders, Attention Seekers, and Plot Breakers" paragraph.

Now I recognise that a lot of people here are very pro Railroading, maybe at the very least make a note that as soon as some people realise that it's happening they will certainly step away from the plot?

Great idea Ammon, I really like how you have managed to create something that has engaged so many people IC. Now OOC engagement is a bit of a problem as you have seen. That said keep up the good work!

You're right non damage dealing Empaths aren't awfull, they are just worse then taking another buffing secondary that will actually throw in some damage along with it's buffs/Debuffs. The only reason I want an empath taging along usually is so I can get end buffs, in competent teams you can manage agro so you either don't need constant healing or you do a fumble and die so fast that an empath wont save you.

I see the logic behind not taking the agro so you can safely heal, on the other hand you yourself have admited that you have not tried to play with attacks.

My own experience with empathy (Fire/Empathy controller) was that I could do both, took a lot of concentration, but it really was not a lot more hard then juggling Shadowplays endurance and health.

Pocket D has RPers most evenings as well.

True, to each his own, you want to be a "pure" Empath, go for it, just don't expect me to keep you on a team for long.
(That said in lower levels going empathy heavy makes sense even in my book)

And no Quick Recovery, Consume is great, but hardly the same thing.
