But he plays the part of a sex god very well - he's a natural at it
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I always thought he's a very good character actor, he can play the antipathetic git amazingly well, I mean in Jumper I kept rooting for Samuel L. Jackson to brutally murder the villainous Hayden and... what?! wait. what do mean Hayden was the good guy in that movie?! -

He's just... I don't know, but I find him highly unattractive (and the muscles just make me gag).
[/ QUOTE ]
No bonus points for him being a gamer and long-time roleplayer?
[/ QUOTE ]
I bet he's the kind of roleplayer who only plays Warhammer, and we know what they're like.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually he's the kind that writes the 30 year anniversary D&D Players Handbook intro, also if you mean the Warhammer Fantasy RP, I'm really curious as to what the heck do you mean.
PS: I'm a mostly heterosexual male and Vin Diesel is hot, even if I don't normally find buff men attractive. -
Sure, I've done a lot of IC TFs and I'm always up for more.

1. Yeah, they may have made levelling a little easy. If vet badges had been around originally, I'd have had quite a few before I got my first 50.
[/ QUOTE ]
From what I know you are pretty much a casual player and you don't team except for IC reasons and with buddies, that slows down your levelling considerably. I don't think the game got any easier from back when War Crow was levelling to 50, actually it's gotten harder since we have ED.
[ QUOTE ]
2. There are plenty of new players about. Real new players, not returning ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
I certainly hope so.
PS: I would have about 6 months of vet badges before I would have gotten Shadowplay to 50 -
[ QUOTE ]
But anyway i would appreciate it if anyone could tell me they felt the same way or perhaps give me an explanation as to why this is happening and prove me wrong
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't feel the same way. I welcome their attempts to balance the game out, they are usually spot on, hell I wrote a guide to fire tanks back in the day that was considered damn good. *whispers* But you know, the bloody bastards where overpowered so we got nerfed, still play with my fire tank, just wish they buffed the set a teensy bit.
I don't always agree with all the nerfs, just most of them, and it's quite easy to see why they do it, if they as you suggested buffed the other sets into uberness, the game would become too easy. As you said it's a superhero game so we're meant to be powerful, however that's the exact thing most people said back when ED came out, and I still think my characters kick [censored] and take names. -

Sure, but how many NWN module makers would have been put off from making them if there was some kind of other reward involved, like unlockable content for their modules?
Not very many I'd wager.
How many more would've created stuff for it if they could get those extra rewards?
I dunno tbh, but I bet it'd be more than those who would've been put off by them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Rewards are fine, it's like giving money to a good author, it usually helps. However if the rewards are some of the tools he could be creative with in the first place it's a bit of a silly idea.
To use examples, you have a painter, he makes a good painting you pay em, sounds reasonable eh?
Now you have the same painter only you tell em to paint using only the orange, the black, the purple and the yellow from his pallet and if it actually comes out looking good next time he can use reds as well. Might actually work as an exercise for a professional painter, but don't help the masses trying to learn to create. -
First of all, good idea of creating this thread FFM!
Generally highly hopeful and can't wait to get my hands on this.
Couple of issues I have because of the way I want to use the creator, basically as a GM on tabletop, create story arcs for certain friends to have fun with.
[ QUOTE ]
11. Rewarding creators of the most popular content with exclusive unlockable content such as signature heroes and villains or unique maps
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't wanna create popular content, I want to create content for my friends.
[ QUOTE ]
12. A rating system that allows players to rate missions or flag them for inappropriate content, allowing the developer to remove bad content and potentially ban players
[/ QUOTE ]
This inappropriate content thing worries me, I mean I might want go a bit on the dark and grim on certain plots, however since I don't have a taste for being too graphic in my stories I don't think it will be a real issue as long as I can go as far as CoV goes. Still would prefer if I could have control over who can play my stories.
[ QUOTE ]
This is a new module for City of Heroes, fictionally presented as a training exercise for Heroes and Villains
[/ QUOTE ]
I can see why they did this, however it might be a bit immersion breaking, however the fact that you can put contacts in the mission makes me hope that you can actually create minor instances of Paragon City or something, we'll have to see. -
[ QUOTE ]
well they said i13 was going to be bigger then i12. and tbh, in my eyes, from what we've heard. villain patrons, bases, etc it doesnt sound like i13 is tht much bigger, so they have to have something massive. infact ground breaking, earth shattering in the background.
[/ QUOTE ]
Player created content if done right is a [censored] Godzilla, King [censored] Kong and the damn Nuclear bomb rolled up into one. Also base overhaul to something that no longer resembles Jack Emmerts afterthoughts would be a major change to the game.
All this without mentioning VPP respec ability, a new power set and I'm willing to be they are going to throw some vanilla content in the mix as well.
If they announce anything more for Issue 13 -and- manage to pull it all off, I think I'm going to wet my pants from joy and then faint. -
Hey do Procs show up anywhere? Cause if we cant control those, it's a hugely unbalancing factor.
-
He was deactivated for nearly a year, and I sent the right invitation, cause I sent the same invitation to a different friend where it worked, I'm pretty sure he botched the procedure somehow.
Plus I might be a foreign devil, however I am capable of reading instructions... my friend on the other hand. -
[ QUOTE ]
ow level players joining farm teams to get to higher levels quickly and then end up with no clue about simple things like agro range later on. I can understand PVP players that would want to do this however, and to an extent I can sympathise with veterans that do this too; the first 20 or so levels on both sides are dull as dishwater when you've done them a couple of dozen times.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to disagree here, it's part of the Veteran badge system I love, I've seen 30+ month vets who suck so hard it's phenomenal. Then I've seen a player that says he's been at it for only a week and they are good and solid team mates. I really do not think there is a real effect here. -
I would definitely be interested in a lower level division, both 13 and 24 sounds good to me, 24 more so then 13.

A tank that does something silly will more than likely make one or several of the squishies die... a tank that does something silly and dies would just happens if the tank was doing something silly, the tank was slotted in a silly way and the empath was silly and slotted in a silly way too -I'm repeating your own words on purpose just to make sure you understand them-
[/ QUOTE ]
So you're basically calling me a silly empath, and I'm calling you a liar.
My objection is to your comment on PuGs, an empath shouldn't feel bad just because a tank went out of their way to die, it's not an imposibility even if you are a great empath.
Before you ask, yes I am very confident of my ability to play my characters which is why I object to your comments. -

How can profit be made for those that sell?(this is about those two pieces of salvage mentioned in the OP so no bringing in other salvage)
[/ QUOTE ]
You are right, if you where using the actual market to make a profit, thus actually becoming a middle man, then your ability to profit has been penalised.
However the definition of profit does not limit itself to financial gain, it's basically any gain, right now the gain is that it's cheaper to get something that is occasionally of use to you. -
[ QUOTE ]
All it proves is that prices have changed. Nothing. Else.
[/ QUOTE ]
I actually agree, it can't be use as a definitive argument for farming, unless you actually put in context. However I think the point was made because one of the basic arguments against farming, that I've heard of at least, flooding a market with a product that can't be consumed in bulk will raise it's price because more money exists now. -
[ QUOTE ]
And since Taurus were selling... How can profit be made?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because he can now buy Mu Vestments cheaper when he needs them? I don't think he actually makes a living selling the blasted things. -
Heya, I invite my best mate back to the game using the friend referral program by playNC, however fool that he is he seems to have read the instructions possibly wrong. He reactivated but did neither of us got the extra free days, does anyone know when exactly does he have to use the code that was sent to him?
-
[ QUOTE ]
Do explain how a profit can be made if the prices dropped from 2-3 million to 600k?
[/ QUOTE ]
The same way that you are happier if a sandwich is cheaper, unless you sell sandwiches for a living that is.
I've never taken a stand for or against farming, because I was never convinced it bothers me, and I can't say I find it fun to do it myself. However this question I found so silly, I couldn't help myself. -

Speaking for the people who aren't in the two SGs on the servers that PvP regularry, I find the lv 40 limit refreshing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed, also makes Villain ATs more viable. I mean come on Brute vs Scapper APPs. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'd like to know what is exactly against the board rules on that post... and about the latter part, even a fire tankw ithout tough would survive the alpha, and that is all an empath needs to keep him alive. In fact, a fire blaster can do the tanker role ion an up to 6 man team with a decent empath supporting him
[/ QUOTE ]
I am calling you a liar, a fluke or mentally damaged in some way, I can call you up on an idea and attack your points, but actually attacking you is against the board rules.
Now I am not saying that all you and Alvan just said isn't true, seen it happen a lot of times to question the ability of a blaster tank.
What I am questioning rather strongly is that you went 50 levels as an empath teaming in PuGs and you never had your tank die horribly as they decide to do something silly. Had you told me you went 50 levels teaming with the same tank (whatever AT) and he never died on you, then I would believe you.
