Quote:I did make point of stating that I hoped they would include MORE options.Go to USER CP In the top left corner of your screen and on the side is a menu where you'll have to go down to Edit Options. In the Third section you'll see this:
Check/Uncheck options you would like/dislike
Problem solved for everyone! Cheers!
I'm well aware that I can shut off signatures altogether, I would just rather there be an option to just shut of the irritating image portions of them.
I would like to view posted images.
I would like to view text signatures.
I would also like to not view image signatures. -
I hope they give more options for removing this new feature. The CoH boards were one of the last few places where one could go and not be assaulted by various horrible works of photoshoppery when browsing for information.

And EA will never be altered by the devs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Slight nitpick, but the devs will have to adjust it when it's ported over to Tanks and Scrappers because of the double Conserve Power issue. It might be small but it does mean they will be doing something to /EA at some point, which I think some of us are hoping will open a window for more changes. -

Wrong.
What I did was respond to Positron's post. I mentioned that I don't think it'd be as manpower intensive as Positron states. And I suggested a possible time frame for work to begin on this project. How exactly is this dOOOOm?
I realize of course that my statements are just my opinion, and Positron is certainly in a better position to know just how manpower intensive a project would be than I am. That combined with my low post count and my lack of a level 50 character will certainly lead a number of people to discount my posts no matter how sensible they are. This isn't going to stop me from stating my opinion.
It is my belief that the forum is here for all of us to state our opinions, not for all of us to simply agree with yours.

Nice to see you being yourself man, good show. Yeah, you probably wouldn't have seen any of the mobs that now placate and "AS" in a fashion...you, in the new zone. Now, quit being a [censored].
[/ QUOTE ]
If you're refering to the mobs in Grandville that use AS-style moves then fine, but I doubt that they can "AS for close to full amount through PS" and if they can then why didn't you bug it? As far as I know NPC mobs shouldn't have unresitable crits.
And please stop the childish name-calling. It helps nothing. -
I think something bugged with the heavies, I keep trying to pick one up but it gives me the "you cannot control more then one Heavy at a time" message even though I don't have any.
This only started after I zoned out while in control of a Heavy and then zoned back into a different instance of RV. Maybe it forgot to release the other pet? -
I think my favorite memory from today was when a Dom on my team confused Back Alley Brawler and we watched him one-shot the 5 heroes hiding behind him.

From this thread
Grounded from ELA
I just tested this in PvP for 1.5 hours and YES, the instant you leave the ground the immob comes and you fall RIGHT back to the floor.
ALSO you WILL get KNOCKED down out of the Sky on to your back.
Also I think it has NO KNOCK-UP protection (not positive on this)
So ELAs enjoy your Super Leaping/Combat Jumping/Acrobatics because you need it in pvp.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can confirm the no knockup resistance in Grounded, damn BS scrappers have been bouncing me all night on my EM/Elec. -
[ QUOTE ]
Bug? You decide.
Power Surge takes accuracy enhancements.
Also, by the by, Grounded doesn't have the Immob/KB resist listed on test for the event. Given that I was just Immob'd by a Jack Frost, I'm pretty sure it isn't there or is very weak.
[/ QUOTE ]
I noticed that with Grounded too, and the acc in Power Surge might be for the EMP that comes with the crash. -

Shadow dweller. Passive skill in DA stalker version. Immob protection, defense, and perception.
[/ QUOTE ]
I meant specifically the knockdown protection, that's really pretty valuable (more than immob). Can't believe that's going on a passive, although it'd be neat.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well it'd be pretty lame to make Grounded into a toggle that only gave Passive lvl energy and negative resists. It'll most likely stay a passive. -
[ QUOTE ]
FYI: Electric Shields' Grounding Power will have Immobilize and Knockback Protection added. The set will still not have a Heal power or HP Buff power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just for clarification, will Grounded remain a passive or will it be twisted into a toggle? Please say passive! -
/elec went from one of the sets with the most status protection holes to possibly the MOST status resistant set in a split second.

Words cannot describe how awesome you are. -

FYI, Lightning Rod's Recharge Time will be being reduced.

Ok just for your knowledge...
Relentless is the hardest setting. Don't expect it to be easy.
If you set it to Relentless assume you're going to get a hero instead of a boss.
Heck any other "AV" mission set to that level and you'd get a Hero instead of an Elite Boss. I don't understand why people are flipping out. If you wanna solo or duo a mayhem mission kick the difficulty down some...
[/ QUOTE ]
I was on Villanous when Mynx showed up each time as an EB. The diffculty slider does not effect what hero will show up. -
Did Mynx get the new animations for the Claws set? I swear she's the only EB I've had trouble with in Mayhem Missions, she shows up and SLASH SLASH SLASH my health is in the red before my firist attack finishes animating. And either she has a nasty acc bonus or I've been unlucky the 4 times she's popped up because she cuts right through the purples I always take with me on Mayhems.
This on my elec/elec brute btw, lvl 32 with fresh SOs and she still cuts me down in seconds. Only way I've found to beat her is to jump out of the mission and go buy 10 purps from a nearby contact and pop 5 at a time, and sometimes even that's not enough. -
[ QUOTE ]
SURPRISE! Chain Induction's extra damage is not counted as yours, so it actually LOWERS the amount of experience you get from defeating enemies!
Huge bug.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I noticed this last night after I hit 18 and PMed Castle about it shortly after. Got a read receipt when I checked back today but no reply as of yet.
Really really hope it's a bug otherwise I'll be dropping CI from any build plans in the future. The dmg it does is pretty weak and the xp loss just makes it a hindrance. -
I don't know what you're smoking, but I can almost guarantee you they will never give anyone full resistance to end drain. Add in the fact that we already get close to capped energy resists and I really don't see the point in wasting a power slot I could be using to get aid self. Feel free to take the gimp passive if you like, it'll still be gimp.
-
What makes you think Grounded will bring the drain protection up to 100%? It will still be skipped because it's redundant protection and the power slot can be used elsewhere.
-
You already get end drain protection from the status shield, any extra can and probably will be skipped by most people.
-
This may be asking a bit much, but can a dev post here explaining why they planned the set out this way? I'm still having trouble understanding why /elec is the only +res set in the game without a self heal.
A simple post weighing the pluses against the minuses from a dev viewpoint might put an end to the knockback debate at the very least. -

I'm not sure what the point of the sleep effect is for melee attacks. YOu gotta be kidding. First of all, if I'm building fury, I'm going to unsleep the guy next hit. Also, the mob isn't trying to hit me, so not building Fury that way either. Didn't the Ice Brutes go away due to this consideration?
Some of the zero sleep effects I've run into in CoH have been nasty interrupts/toggle-droppers. It seem like this was put in for PvP only. Which is totally WRONG since PvE is the game's bread and butter and PvP just some "other thing to try out". I'm not sure what I'm getting out of this in PvE. It looks like nada since we cannot drop toggles of mobs (e.g. Longbow Warden Spines guys). And then, of course, we are paying end for the useless status effect and, as always when an attack has a status component, the attack does less damage due to the perceived benefit of the effect.
BOO on the sleep!
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you have proof that attacks with status effects do less dmg or cost more end? My experience so far has been quite the opposite, the dmg and end costs are very reasonable with ELM. EM and it's dissorients don't seem to suffer from your perceived reduction in dmg and increase in end cost either. -
If you pay attention there is an arc of electricity that travels down your arms and then explodes in the shower of sparks. So, yeah, it is what you guys were expecting.
