Personally, I feel they should have gotten their own sets, or at least have received a new power or two. Aside from Ninjutsu, this didn't happen.

On Martial Arts itself... I don't know. The one Martial Arts Stalker I have uses a large metal arm, so Dragon's Tail probably wouldn't have fit visually anyway, especially with digitigrade legs. On the performance side, I'm not sure it makes much of a difference, considering I feel Martial Arts is already one of the better sets for Stalkers. Dragon's Tail really isn't a very good AoE. It's more like a token power so Martial Arts isn't Dark Melee to begin with.

I definitely WOULD NOT want to lose any of the single-target attacks off the set for an AoE which isn't all that strong to begin with. It looks cool sometimes, yes, but not cool enough to justify the performance shift. Not unless there's a larger, more universal fix for Stalkers.
With the new changes to MA, why would one want to use Thunderkick?

I can't think of a single actress who has ever had the look of a DCU Amazon.

I have taken real punches from people roughly her size, and I know that no matter how hard she might wind up for it, it's not gonna hurt much because she simply doesn't have the physical mass behind it. I have a really hard time with suspension of disbelief when it comes to things like that. I have a feeling that with the growing popularity of televised MMA, a lot of shows like this will have to be more realistic in their depiction of fighting if they want to get viewers on board.
Wow. And yet you play CoH.

Well, that's what I was asking.

However, you're forgetting, the Brute would have the fully saturated Soul Drain as well.

So Scrappers fully saturated Soul Drain Burn VS a Brutes fully saturated Soul Drain Burn with added FURY LOVE!

Looking at mids, the Brute seems to put out more AOE damage with Burn and Blazing Auras, as Fury effects both those powers (and Fiery Embrace). With Scrappers putting out more ST Damage with Dark Melee.

However, Brutes could be easily on the overkill mark, while Scrappers do just enough to not overkill (or not overkill as much).

In the end, I still stand by my suggestion. DM/FA...from a pure numbers perspective...seems best for Brutes, as the ST DPS may be less than the Scrapper version, it is still more than plenty, and therefore the survival and AOE aspects seem to be good ways to go with it.

Playstyle is another. But seeing as how the OP said either or, I figured they were fine with both Scrappers and Brutes playstyles.

o.O You play a game were such a character can do that, and I would think, liking comics, would have been use to this by now.

You know, I really didn't find Donnie Darko's ending sad.

And V's ending I think I was just in much awe of what V did, to be sad.

Gladiator bore me to much to actually finish >_>

    Leo gets it! *nods*

I forgot about that! And if I recall that change came much later in Stalker Claws too!

So there is precedence for this.

However, with my suggestion this has less to do with wanting AOE, and really me just wanting the attack for it's animation.

    I LOVE THE SWEEP!

I mean really, I didn't see it do all that much more for me in damage, on my MA/WP or MA/Regen. But I love the attack for it's animation!

Brute's Fury boosts their blazing aura/burn damage, but neither can critical in the hands of a scrapper. So while brutes get fury+soul drain+fiery embrace on these powers, scrappers get only soul drain+fiery embrace. As such, I think it's being assumed that the three boosts for those powers on a brute will make the AoE DPS skew in the brute's favor, compared to aoe performance of a scrapper. I'm no numbers dude, but blazing aura and burn obviously do make up a big chunk of a DM/FA's AoE, so I think I get that.

...Or I could be totally off and wrong.
    Exactly what I'm asking.

ST DPS is nice, I'm a big fan of it, but I also realize that for normal missions, AOE damage is usually what more people want.

Also, when factoring in ST DPS, when it comes to DM/FIRE Scrapper/Brutes, I think one would have to factor in the use of Blazing Aura (maybe not Burn) and the added damage it adds while clicking away with the ST DPS string.

Well, figure Fury effects the damage of Burn, Blazing Aura, and added Fiery Embrace damage. Crits do not.

Does Soul Drain on Scrappers give enough of an advantage to keep Scrappers ahead on the AOE damage front as well?

I tried checking Mids, but Scrapper's Fiery Embrace wasn't showing any difference to Burn, while the Brute version was.

Without Fiery Embrace, Brutes were making out (at 60% Fury) just a tiny tiny bit more on Burn's damage (was like 5 points more damage).

Now, Blazing Aura (where Fiery Embrace worked on Scrappers and Brutes) the damage was way more in favor of the Brutes all around, with Brutes doing about 15 points more a tick.

So I was curious as to whether or not Brutes AOE potential made up for Scrappers having more ST potential.

Jet Li's Hero! There's another one.
  13. While I recall a youtube video of someone going around asking women if they think WW should wear pants vs her well known outfit (and I don't recall a single one of them saying yes to the pants), I really don't think that'll happen in any live action version of Wonder Woman.

Not because it couldn't be done and made to look good, but because it would get groups on the shows butt crying foul, when they likely don't even know anything about Wonder Woman to begin with (or comics).
  14. I know there's the cottage rule and all, but I say we pushthat aside and fix this set!

Remove Thunderkick! Add in Dragon's Tail!

I keep wanting to make a MA/ Stalker, but Martial Arts without Dragon's Tail is just so...so...so lacking!

With very little effort you could dig up "prototype" test pictures of just about any genre show you could think of. To think that the first Wonder Woman picture we saw at the top of this thread was going to be the "final" version of the outfit was just silly on your part.

At least come up with some reasonable reasons to dislike this show.
Not to mention the outfit could change from the pilot to a different outfit on the second episode that they think would be better (or the fans might think is better).

Which is why it will likely work for Avengers.

You're getting the origin stories out of the way with their single pictures, THEN teaming them up! \o/

    Look at this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7Nf-m6WGl4
    This has WW details.

But's let's talk about something else. What kind of personality is this new WW going to portray? Flirty, Aloofness, Butch?

Edit: I'm looking at this picture again. This woman has no body! WTF! This is a girl not a woman!! Jesus! This show won't even make it to DVD/Home Video.

I predict high day one ratings like the bionic woman and then the same path. I see a mid season cancellation here.
Wow. By some of the posts I've read, I can't help but think no one could create a WW show that would live up to anyone's expectations.

Some want her fat. Some want her muscled up to the point of looking like a professional weight lifter.

And the actress turns 28 years old this year. Not a woman? I'm starting to think you want a 50 year old playing the part of Diana.

I guess there's still no easy way around keeping these actresses from breaking their ankles.

It also looks like the pants are made of a darker, less "shiny" material in this shot. It'll be interesting to see if that's a permanent change away from the "shiny" blue pants or if that's again a concession for the action scenes just like the flat boots seem to be.
My guess, is the boots will always be flat in the show. I don't think she'll have the high heels at all.
