It's the animation TIME that made me quit using EM/. Original ET was far quicker and that is what I enjoyed about the set. It was like a sucker punch hopped up on drugs with a loud BOOM. Also fun in PvP because it was extremely hard to react (heal) when getting hit with 75% Fury+BU>TF>ET. Pretty much everyone just died. Now you have all the time in the world to pop a heal of some sort in between those attacks.

And I could be wrong on my thoughts for Tankers. I'm just thinking with it's lower damage numbers compared to the Tankers starting sets, then add in it's single target focus with just Build Up with Tanker Damage mods....
...I just think it will look awesome, as MA already does, but seems like it would be lower on the damage levels. I of course could be totally wrong! I really don't know. It's just my thought at first glance.
I do hope they rearrange the order of the powers though, as it would be suckie to get DT at lvl 35. -

In all seriousness, I believe all Stalker Primary sets are given a standard Build Up so as to not overpower Assassin Strikes. When Stalkers get Fiery Aura, will they get to keep Fiery Embrace? I'm not sure they will be able to.
Blazing Aura would follow suit with all past sets, and allow Fire Stalkers to be REALLY FRIGGIN NASTY with their Assassin Strikes

Fix #3- The changes announced today. EA gets the better self heal, and it gets an added survivability tool to make up for both the fact that it is harder to cap Typed defense, and that with an aggro aura there will be more incoming damage for Energy Brutes.
While I will kind of miss my sneaky Scrute that plays differently than other Brutes, I am glad to get 3 tools for added survivability.
I'm incredibly pumped by these changes and can't decide how best to use them. I may revamp my EM/EA Brute made the first night of CoV, or I may make Hyper Lemur on the VIP server as a KM/EA scrapper.
PS- don't let the similarity in names fool you. The Stalker (and Kinetic) power are Knockbacks, not a true Repel effect (like Force Bubble and Telekinesis) -

Energy Melee was without Energy Aura from day 1, so nothing new there. -
Can we get Thunderkick and Storm Kick spots switched for Tankers, so Storm Kick is the tier 1?

Hmmm...I don't know. SR/ for Tankers looks good to me. Shielder's already do awesome as it is.
SR will beable to softcap easier, and thusly get over the softcap easier. Nice to have for those iTrials where more defense is nice.
There will of course be the enemies that the SR/ Tanker will worry about. But /SR's already worry about them.
Higher Health, ability to focus IO builds towards other things besides +Defense.
It'll be interresting.
Won't have the damage output of a Shield user..and an IOed Shielder might be better than an IOed SR in the long run, but that's the case now for the Brutes/Scrappers in a lot of peoples opinions now.
Havent been interrested in rolling a new Tanker in awhile after getting 3 of them to 50. This may change that for me. -

We chose Ice Armor this time around as it was a fun and thematically interesting power set and it was the only option that didnt require substantial art time. Since our talented artists are working their rear ends off making content in Issue 21 shine, this round of Power Set Proliferation required that there would be no art time used. Ice Armor had to have some changes made to make it compatible with the Stalker play style. First we removed Icicles to make room for Hide and then we removed Hibernate and replaced it with Icy Bastion. This change was made because Stalkers already have access to Hibernate from their Leviathan Patron Pool. The new power Icy Bastion is a click power that provides a short, but significant, burst of Resistance, Regeneration and Recovery.
Ice Armor should be good on Stalker because it's a mix of defense and +HP and some resistance.
I still want Ice Melee more though.

The -toHit would add to it's defense sure. But it's going to get a decent self-heal.
I'd say go for something with a bit more AOE potential and soft controls. Or maybe even just a good mix of ST/AOE DMG in Fire Melee.
And looking at it's incoming buffs, I think it'll start to become a favorite of many more people. The ability to hit itrial softcap on Energy Damage alone, with the self heal.
My only disappointment was I was really hoping to see EA cap Energy Resist more than anything else.

I thought about this, then realized they probably thought Kinetic Melee can go with Energy Aura conceptually untill they likely make some changes to Energy Melee when they port it.
