How does this look? And how much do you think it'll cost on Freedom server? =] -

Quote:Hey...don't be be making fun of the ellipses! I've been over using them in my writing since...what is it now...well a long damn time! And I'm willing to put money on the chance that these people use more than five ellipses per minutes.
Come meet Nalrok, Mandu. He's a demon. A big, royal demon prince. With horns. And he's Dark/Dark/Soul. And he eats souls. And he's really strong.
But he also loves conversation, enjoys meeting people and forging new friendships, has a soft spot for opera, prefers verbal subterfuge to just smashing things into dust, and would sooner spend an evening walking the streets of St. Martial for fun than shredding CoT for no reason.
That's not to say he won't end you if you piss him off, but still, he's not your stereotypical demon ****** like the rest of the evil populace.
*huggles ellipses* -
Eh, it's a cartoon network live action movie.

Quote:They look to well built.I made an AE arc for an SG project that involved a few of the beginning zone's contacts... what follows are the "re-designs" that I happened to come up with.

None of them are really heroes.
Prince Kiros's only ability is some enhanced senses. You have him looking like he's ready to go out and kick some butt.
The same with the Doc. Looks like he took some serum to buff up.
So far haven't been impressed by any of the Azuria remakes.
Now not saying I can do any better and not saying they couldn't go with some remodelling, but for some of these contacts, I think only the devs could do them justice, as the character creator is to focused on making well built characters. -

DP/TIME Corr or TIME/DP Defender, I'm undecided as to which way I'll go with it.
Titan/Something, possibly Regen. Haven't decide quite yet, depends on if I'm happy with the DP/TIME combo. -
Quote:I disagree, I don't see why an honestly noble hero rings a bit false. Especially for that time, when it was different.I'd to agree, I found that moment to be quite well-done and really encapsulate not only who Cap is as a character but why these guys are giving the super-soldier serum to him instead of someone who might be a better test subject physically. It's one thing to put lines in the character's mouth about nobility and honor, but that scene works better than anything you could have had him say. Even the gruff Tommy Lee Jones character respects him after that, albeit grudgingly.
I get that in the modern era where we're all used to flawed antiheroes and deconstructed sagas that a square-jawed honestly noble hero rings a bit false, but that's a core part of who the character is and I thought the film did an admirable job of portraying a character like that in a way that while not always completely believable (the bully line was a bit over the top, I thought) was completely consistent and managed to be empathetic - something that can be hard to pull off when your hero is almost inhumanly decent.
I think the difference is, now a days someone like that would be told "Nice guys finish last" just about every day.
The sad part for him, was that it took jumping on a grenade for the girl to even start to notice him. -
Quote:You don't need Hasten though. DB/WP really doesn't need that much recharge. WP doesn't benefit from it, but if you need it to unlock Super Speed, yeah, go for it, but I wouldn't slot it outside of a RCH in it's first slot.I was actually slotting for accuracy, but a lot of the bonuses happened to come with recharge (particularly crushing impact, which is a cheap way to get accuracy). So I don't know what I could replace them with.
The luck of the gambler's are kind of a big expense, so I could get rid of them and replace them with serendipity or something and not lose too much regen, which I figure is pretty high as is.
I'd rather not get rid of nimble slash just because I like the idea of having all the combos when I want them. Easy solution I guess is just not take fire mastery and instead go for the very difficult to get soul mastery. Then I get something like this.
A lot less haste (though ironically I have haste now), darkness = more damage mitigation, and I have a neat defensive power. Also, slightly less (very slightly less) endurance heavy. Only thing I don't like is soul mastery takes such a long time to get and fire mastery is right there. lolCode:| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1365;677;1354;HEX;| |78DA6594696F12511486EF3083B494DA4237BA500A2D4217C6361A635C13AD26262| |5A9216DDD129CC26D993A810950BBB8A4FA591397E81F70F96B7E72F968A216CFBC| |E7764998409EB9EF7DEFB9E79C3B33B9EDF990107B578576F2BA63D5EB857CB166B| |9AEACF973D6BA5D140121C4D08156C849474A737ED3720AD71CAB24EB4753F3724D| |56EAD25CB11DC7AD6EC95AF856A52C6BB2D2300F6E3A17AB55C7BC69AF971B76653| |D84D182B45C1A0431C8BB5296BA0EF492ACD5CBB63B78C3B58B66BE61398F689B7C| |75D329E4AC7A43D676A2945B8AFEBB5E92B89A8678489813BE1270629561016D456| |0D9B36BB0EB62826ED2C297018C14230D3C0D281B85D5BCB06911E2B06312A34491| |B10AAC905DE7B03EBD9F6E62A26D000846816764F0AB78FE5D048A3E06A6B680996| |D20BB03DC217B80E319810B88307291710918BBCCB8023C277B3BF26D1AED31E149| |211B18DA609481EC1AA26B64EFE0644447932EA193D2A9DAD2398A0E9C4C32E2C04| |C02B847BE2E8D37EA5AD2BC60DDB7197920720E0945CE037B640FABAAC3127BA7F9| |8CD27C38693E95496EED7DB2F7A82C7ADEF93CA9F703E323D0FF1E7842BE3E15B68| |F4B1A2F73209B7BBA01F4C718641FE0B0DAC03ECE2BEA4339499A19548D189C86F9| |0149C3CA3CCCAE04AF7911F04AE25D631C79E22FF239F58FB1CF68022FC91E67BB3| |F2E7424C98671B6ABC5136C9FFC0318B42AA91EA424EF3BC5596475E02E19522ABF| |141B66D810A1990CCF884C82BB42D2B4AA6F3A0BE91B6562B2A49B9F209DFECCF8C| |AF802FCA62FC3ACF2CDF66283B930A3871101468CC3F78F7EDEB314370E5FB1E654| |CBEC6C8B32D7A29C6951CEB6280BC7152E6DD1387C678506537BB7F03A8F54BE076| |956B547E3053F8F244D5B4239C165E0C7717306E65F4792AEBDC2618DBE61BC66BC| |05FE0311C1DAB2| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Quote:More like Comic Books are a soap opera, and steady relationships don't work in soap operas for the main characters, and usually the background characters.Reed and Sue are an *awful* couple. Sue has had at least two affairs, and Reed is a total dick. They should have divorced long ago, and someone big and green should have thrown Reed into the sun.
The superhero genre, in general, does not do steady relationships very well. Maybe monogamy just doesn't ring true in worlds with oversexualized costumes and infinite possibilities.
Also writers in these type of stories (soap operas) like the come in and make changes, putting their mark on it. Likely in my guess to make some big change they think people will love and thusly put their name on the map. -
You're bonuses seem to be for +RCH, which the DB/WP combo really doesn't need that much of.
If you're going to take Attack Vitals and Sweep Combo's, I'd skip Nimble Slice, as it's only use will be when you exemp down for possibly Posi TF or Synapse TF. Exemping no lower than lvl 21 and you don't need it (NS) anymore (imo anyways).
Also doing that will allow you to grab Super Speed like you wanted, if you're able to skip ahead on Travel Powers (in i21 I believe everyone can) -
When WM/SH becomes an option, just buy all the double xp store items you can.

Quote:You know, I hear this, yet then I think back to all the times people...This isn't even a hard question to answer. Medicom is a handwave for giving player-characters "script immunity". It's necessary because the idea of permanent death in MMOs is permanently dead. In-universe, however, it is far from a sure thing. If, for instance, someone gets his head blown off in one shot, the Medicom beacon may engage but there won't be much the hospital can do for him. The beacon itself might be damaged in combat, or as previously mentioned, the signal might be deliberately jammed or otherwise unable to get through. These things don't happen to us because of the aforementioned script immunity, but that doesn't mean the system should be inferred to operate flawlessly.
1) Laugh at the zig security. Oh well players escape it and you have the prisoners escaping in Bricks. Yeah, because it's an MMO.
2) Crimes is just that rampat. You take out a group and then new ones appear 3 minutes later.
All of which are MMOs mechanics, and not because Paragon has some big revoling door policy.
But people like to say that's how it should be interpretted. -
Just more reasons they should of kept game mechanics and CoH storyline seperate.

Quote:Well I recall everyone mentioning a certain comic with a character in it called Hit Girl.+1. Someone linked to it. The post is gone. I never have had a mod PM me unless it was my birthday until getting 2 PMs within maybe the last month, so I have learned to watch what I post more as of late.
This is why I'm wondering if it was really against forum rules.
I can see why the link was deleted as the OP (you) didn't post it intentionally, but I am curious based on the rules. -
While we (The Teen Phalanx) don't have anyone fill out an application. I know we do ask for the SG charter to be read through.
I don't see anything really bad about that.
Like instantly they can go to the site and read, "Hmmm...my psychopathic, has murdered 200 people, and continues to kill people, may not be a good fit for this group." -

I'm okay with this if it works the same way with all the knockdown powers as well!
Why give knockback all the fun of having to slot for KB? Make it work that way for all the knockdown powers.
Footstomp, no longer the power that grants a bit of safety as well, as you'll have to slot a KB IO into it, to get the KD effect.
So yeah, basically unsigned, but if you go for it, lets make it fair for all the power that do any amount of knock around. -
Quote:I worry about that with every setRight now I'm a bit worried that the DPS of SJ is going to be completely dependent on the big burst damage provided by the finisher- with most attacks will only doing approximately same damage as a rageless SS tanker, thus leading to a low overall DPS.

Quote:I think that's less of how the Crey are being written now. And where they went to as time progressed.I'm talking about what they represent now. It's quite possible they started out with altruism in mind. It's been about seven years since I last read that history, so my memory may be a bit fuzzy. But as I understand the controversy around them, it's that heroes are getting rich fighting crime, so it's never really certain where their loyalty lies. Would they sacrifice profit for heroism or would they do the other way around?
Either way, with Crey's taint, they're pretty much a shady organisation now, and that's the kind of storyline I'd expect to see. Then again, when their headquarters gets bombed AGAIN... Who knows?
The story arcs you run with them are about exposing them. They've been exposed. Now they do things differently.
But I could be wrong. -
Oooo...watched the trailer and thought it looked great!
Though, would linking to a movie really be against the the forums rules, just because of the name (which isnt that bad at all)? -
My first thought...
"Not even they live forever..."
..."Except for Sister Psyche who can mind ride."
She's also my guess for who's going to die! As she can die, and then just be given a new updated look and still be Sister Psyche! -
Retched, the important question...do you plan to solo AVs?
You said you plan to mostly team. That means AOE is best.
You want to be a one man army, but does that just mean clearing out minions-bosses rather quickly?
If you're not looking to solo AVs, the ST DPS is really not all that important, and ELM while not the strongest, isn't a slouch when built for it.
ELM however is a nice, let's watch things die quickly set.
