I think it's nice to know he cares about the 300 employees who work on Family Guy.

Quote:By that reasoning, can we go back to the "Why make a Shield Powerset, when a total of three supreheroes use one."I've seen a lot of people going on and on about titan weapons, I wondered what the reference was from and why people got so excited. Now I've seen the initial pics and understand what they mean I have to say... WTF! I'm confused now why anyone would find them awesome in any way shape or form.
I don't understand why the devs would bother to waste time on these. Part of me thinks maybe it's just a cheap and easy way of adding a silly new powerset to appease the players but I suspect there had to be some serious clipping issues to overcome given their size so maybe not so easy.
As they're so titan they should have a titan price on the market, 1600 points.
You mean something like that? -
Wow. I can't be the only one who thought "Hide = My Regen stalker is just sneaky."
-
Quote:*starts having Scrapper team with a lot of tankers*No. Brutes complained that they still don't outnumber Tankers by a large enough margin and the devs agree that stealing Fury from Tankers was cool back in the day, so Brutes will be getting Bruising in i22.
In exchange, Tankers will gain an auto taunt power that randomly removes Inf and valuable recipes the Tanker is carrying and automatically distributes them to any nearby Scrappers and Brutes.
.
BrandX: What? You want to bring your tanker? Sure thing! Nothing better than running with 7 tankers! -
Quote:You will become one with us. ^_^To be honest the whole anime/manga "buster sword" thing never really excited me in general. The whole "no way that could work in real life" thing usually ruined it for me.
But because this is a super-powers game I might break down and roll up a cliche "tiny-teenaged-anime-super-girl with hyper-huge sword" character just for fun anyway.
-
Well MA's animations are still nice. I love Eagle's Claw (which I put way ahead of Crushing Uppercut in terms of animation...subjective I know). Dragon's Tail is still a great animation, and I love Storm Kick.
MA also has better ST DPS, not to mention for Tankers added Defense! -
Quote:Always fun on my DB/WP, even after the SoW end crash, I can attack non stop, and still slowly gain END. But since I HAD to take CP, I like to click it right before/after the crash just to really watch the END bar race back to full while attacking non stop.On my main, I can fight at a steady pace that doesn't require button mashing and still gets the job done. HOWEVER, he still has the ability to have me mash buttons like a crack-addled console gamer. This kills stuff quicker but is harder on my end bar. If, in a fight I start noticing my blue bar dipping below 50%, I'll pop CP and start beating face like there's no tomorrow. I usually end up with my end bar someplace between 75 and 100 percent full by the time CP drops.

Quote:I believe I said I prefere Superior Conditioning with Conserve Power being the better power. So obviously, I know the upsides/downsides to these things.Depends how you look at it.
Yes being a click, CP is more potent than SC, but there's also playstyle to consider; micromanaging yet another click in combat? Not all that fun to some.
Also being a click means CP is subject to recharge debuffs and may require another slot to be all that useful.
Also, how many IO sets does CP accept?
Jack all.
Ultimately that's the biggest drawback.
Superior Conditioning has it's place, even if it's not the "better" power.
All in all, I'd support Superior Conditioning being proliferated, as well as allowing CP to slot EndMod sets, even if they wouldn't affect anything but the power's recharge.
But that's not going to happen.
.
That said, if you're being effected by -RCH, unless you're burning more end running toggles than you have ENDREC, this is a non factor. If your attacks aren't recharging fast enough to use, you're not burning END in the first place.
Yes, SC can take a Performance Shifter proc, yes that is nice, but CP is still way better in the END saving (and thus ENDREC) area. It really is that good in keeping the endbar full. In fact, when running CP, I don't recall having a character yet that ran out of END, but have had it happen to characters with SC and a Proc (before fully IOed out, as I tend to make sure I can run non stop on my characters when fully IOed).
But the clickie versus the passive is another choice. I not only prefere the passive, I just love the name of the power. Superior Conditioning, just sounds so much better to go along with my concepts than Conserve Power (note: I did say my concepts

Quote:I don't know, I've seen quite a few of them.Heh, if Tanker RC granted -20% resist we'd see A LOT of StJ Tankers.
However, I think the questions for Tankers would be, is Initial Strike a better attack than Heavy Blow for Tankers?
Heavy Blow deals roughly 9more points of damage, but Initial Strike has the -resist. -
I want that sword! I NEED THAT SWORD!
As someone who has bought extra Paragon Points already, and will buy more, I say make this set available NOW! -
Quote:So far, I haven't seen StJ top 155 DPS (not taking into account -Resist from RC and -Resist Procs).I have been dropping StJ into my current scrapper builds on mids and calculating dps to see how it compares to MA, DM and DB. StJ dps seems to be low in comparison and that was including Crushing Uppercut at Combat Level 3 and 7.5% damage added to all attacks (To account for Rib Cracker's damage resist debuff). Maybe I am not using the best attack chain to calculate dps:
StJ: RC-SB-RC-HB-CU
MA: SK-CAK-SK-CK
DM: Sm-MG-Sm-SL (With perma Soul Drain active with one target)
DB: BF-AB-SS-AB (With Blinding Feint active with one hit)
I also have a Spines/DA but I don't think it would be possible for StJ to have lower dps than that.
Has anyone else tried to calculate dps? I am finding it hard to believe StJ can be the highest dps primary for scrappers.
What I have found is that I find StJ seems to beable to reach iaround the top in it's various chains easier than most sets. Ie...can go a bunch of different routes to obtain close to the same DPS.
But that's just with me messing around, so I could be wrong on this assessment. -

Quote:Quite possible. There are contrary views on this, and frankly it is close enough to a modern political argument to risk mod entry. I'd leave it be.
Not exactly no. But it went under the thought that one could get rid of every violent urge, as the killer was stated as much of having all that taken out. It was just an example I thought went close to it OP, not that the movie itself was based on complete removal of evil.Quote:For the record, Gattaca (excellent movie) has nothing to do with having gotten rid of evil.
Which we proved last el...nvm!Quote:By that definition: NO. Society could be wrong - and has many times throughout history.
*sigh* Nvm on that one.Quote:I didn't understand the original night life/marriage comment in this context, so I really don't get this one either.
I'll just go with the up for 20 hours, havent slept yet, so it makes more sense in my head responce.
-
Quote:Nope. Just the press/media only based on research into it, none of which has been proven and those thought to show it being disproven. So, no evidence of such a thing (which doesn't mean it can't one day be proven to be, just that as of now, all evidence has pointed to nope...which is good, because do you really want to hear "My genetic makeup finds you to be pleasing."?First, did I miss a memo? Last I heard, sexual preference was supposed to be genetic.
)
I meantioned night life and great marriages in two different sentences. I didn't mean they had to be together exactly.
Just that some couples started off with "Yeah, just wanted down their pants at first." versus "It was love at first sight."
And evil defined by my society? Ewww...no. People in my society (ie the US) can't seem to agree on anything.
"People are Omnivores!" vs "Eating meat is evil!"
And quite frankly, I don't want anyone to think my love of bacon is evil.
-
Quote:Last I knew no sexual preference gene exists (nor intelligence gene or a violence gene) and practically given up on except by a few....if it were discovered to be genetic?
Some/many/all(?) psychological conditions have a chemical and possibly genetic origin, with others being a result of environmental conditions. This ranges from destructive urges such as suicidal depression to social variance such as sexuality.
So that example just seems bad.
As for taking away all evil, didn't they try that in Gattaca, and those who had it taken a way still ended up killing someone (at least the one killer in the movie). Besides that, talk about taking away free will.
Not to mention, who would decide what exactly is evil? Is killing an animal to eat it evil? According to some it is!
As for what you say "I felt like it" there goes any sort of after hours night life. Not to mention some great marriages that likely started off with some less than noble intentions (on either side).
"We have 2.5 children because this is what is expected of us." *nod nod...go on mediorce way*.
In the end, I'd rather protect peoples rights to be jerks than to have it taken away. -
Quote:Actually, I would think BW and Hawkeye wouldn't look at Cap that way at all. Now, they may see him as out of touch with today, but not as an undisciplined freak.Written correctly, would they have any effect on their team building at all, though? Since they're SHIELD agents, chances are they'll view the rest of the team as an undisciplined band of freaks, while the others look at them as Fury's stooges. If Cap, Tony, and Thor have enough of hard time respecting and being willing to follow each other, I think it'd ring false if they looked to Black Widow and Hawkeye and fall in line just because they're doing the same.
I think Ultimate Avengers (animated movie) showed best how I think BW would treat Cap, and it's not as a freak, but as a good soldier and leader.
However, the team is filled with large egos. Tony is obvious. Thor is a god. Even Banner is a genius (but even he has reason to worry about SHIELD, as they have no real reason to want to cure him, and in fact, in the past movies have wanted to capture and basically make more of him). -
Quote:I know as I VIP I'm annoyed at these comments, because as a VIP I've posted multiple times on why this line of thought is all wrong...I'm surprised this isn't a big red flag that we're labelled VIPs and yet we still have to pay more money to get these points, or wait 2 months.
I am honestly surprised, if I really cared about street justice I'd be appalled about being a VIP and still having to pay extra for it.
Namely...STOP using your points to buy things you would of had to pay extra money for before i21! If you had saved your points for powersets, then you'd have had them, but you (by you I mean those who have been doing such things, no idea if you have or not)were using points for such things as multiple costume slots, extra enhancement trays, extra salvage storage...ect...ect.
Notice how the SSA's are free to VIPs? Notice how they give you enough points to purchase new power sets? 400 in July, August, September, and October, and conviently that's the right amount to purchase BR and StJ?
All the same content as before is free. This complaint only becomes valid, when they release 2 power sets so close together, people won't have the points to purchase them at their subcription renewal date (basically every two months if they keep them at 800 points).
What makes this more sad, is this has been stated many many MANY times, and you still see posts like yours.
...now back to StJ!
Love the set!
Still, don't care for Sweeping Cross's animation. Something about it just doesn't "mesh" for me. So dropping it was an easy choice, even though I would have liked to keep it (but builds are tight anyways, so maybe it's a good thing).
Also, CU's animation I still think is a bit off. Can't explain it, the way of the jump just seems off, but then maybe I'm so used to Ken and Ryu's super uppercuts, I'm just not as impressed by this one. Still took the power though
Initial Strike and Heavy Blow having to alternating animations for them is PERFECT! It makes the set feel like it changes things up just by having those two different animations switching things up on one attack.
Shin Breaker by itself, I'd like be "meh" about on the animation, but seeing as how we can knock down enemies, makes it so much more fun to use.
I only wish that we could grapple in CoH, so I can see my 5ft tall super heroine, jump up, grab a baddie by the head and unleash a Rib Cracker.
Also a Cammie/Sonya Blade leg throw would be awesome! -
Quote:For clarification...Like I said, overall, it looks good. Best poster I've seen yet. I'm more asking for clarification than anything else, as I'm not an artist and I may just be seeing things wrong.
I'd say her eyes are looking up at the energy being emitted from the skull, or the answer can as easily be "the artist didn't think to line the eyes up with staring at the skull"
She has a back, but it's covered by the W in WILL, but could of just not been drawn out enough, hard to tell with the W in the way.
I think the fingernails are in the gloves and showing through and the pink you see if just from the glow coming from the skull. Looking at some of the other fingernails, they look the same color as her gloves.
Lipstick looks fine. Really, that can be summed up as, that's how she likes to wear it, costume design, or just artist error, but can be thought of anyway, but no, typically not under the bottom lip, but again, could be part of her hero design.
All in all, I consider that pic the best Numina pic I've seen. I;d love to see an image of it without the letters/text and just the image. -
Quote:Awww yes, that's right at damage cap and recharge cap.keep in mind that for the premise of this thread, you are at the damage cap.
Whatever amount of +damage a combination is usually able to bring to the table is irrelevant.
What is relevant is your AT's damage cap, base damage, -resists effects, procs and whatever passive damage you can bring to the table (damage Auras, pets etc).
With that in mind, a Corruptor's higher damage cap, higher AT modifier and scourge are going to easily beat the extra debuffs a Defender can bring to the table. The higher damage cap alone should be enough to make the difference.
I'd give it to the Defender I think, as I believe it's Sonic Blast wins out doesn't it? All that -Resist tacked on with the -resist/-regen of the Primary. -
I actually have a big list for this, but to name a few...
Transformers: The Animated Movie
The Crow
Kick-***
Matrix (1, 2 and 3 as I tend to like to fastword to all the fight scenes on 3)
The Pirate Movie (<_< 80's movie that's just fun to watch)
...plus many many more. -
I just can't imagine Ant Man being a good movie. I haveno love or hate for the character, so this is just me basing it off his powers, and how even in the cartoons, I was never that impressed by him.
-
Your Highness was suppossed to be terrible, and for that I loved it! So it's not terrible! Because they were made to act terrible! That was part of the point of it.
<_< *enjoys Your Highness* >_> -
As I recall on my last few Sister Psyche runs, the only two missions were we skipped to the boss was both the train missions...we also tend to skip to the sonic devices on the last two second and third to last missions (but sometimes we work our ways to them) and still maintained good speed.
However, that usually requires a decent mix on the team (like some AOE) -
-
My favorite combo for Street Justice is...
Spinning Strike (awesome animation that knocks them down), Shin Breaker (kick em while they're down), Rib Cracker (knee them in the face as they're standing back up)
