Just started a da/dm tank and looked at the numbers on Mids first and saw some good potiential, just not sure how get it to be soft capped, I can get over 70%
the resistance just not sure how to get it in the soft cap. Is it bad not to soft cap Vs high resistance? Let me know what you think of the build.

Hello again,

I decided to go with a Shield/Kinetic and I've been messing around with it on Mids. I am pretty sure it is my fault that I am not getting the good numbers cause I know from my shield/axe build I can get good defense numbers with Shield. So I was hoping some people on here could help me out and showme some good Inexpensive or light on the wallet builds that can help me make the climb to the expensive ones later on. All your input will be most appreciated and considered. If you are wondering why I chose kinetic, its fun and different to me and meshes well with the Shield. IMO and based on what others said its the primary that makes it a good tank, not the secondary hehe. I look forward to seeing what can be made with the experts on Mids!

Thank you for your responses, I had no Idea that Shield for a tanker could be cheap. I currently have a Shield/Axe tank at lvl 30 but Axe seems to be disappointing in dmg and recharge. Though looking at the other Secondarys and minus war mace, I don't see many others that mesh nicely. I haven't tried DM yet though. I may hold off on Shield till after the neew Patch and focus on WP. What would be a good secondary to mesh with that? Maybe Elec, Nrgy, or DM , but not sure cause of costume and theme concepts. I might switch over and make a Claw scrapper, not sure, just need a little but more feedback on how good those three fair for a tanker to make my decision. Again thank you all for your responses.

Alrighty, Well I enjoy the WillPower and Invulnerability primaries alot. The Shield I was told was going to be expensive. I like the stone defense but people say the slowness and recharge aren't worth it. Though I really want to make a Solid willpower since it has alot of goodies in it like a minor health and a minor stamina to stack ontop of Health and Stamina lol.

My secondary, well Im not doing the over used SS or Mace or Axe, but trying out the Energy melee since that will pair well with Willpower. Plus energy is almost all AoE. But I want to know which can be done cheaply cause as I said i don't have alot of Inf.

I am looking for a Cheap Tank build that can take alot of dmg without having to sink a lot of Inf into it. I don't have a lot which is why and do no know much about all these new IO sets and bonuses and procs etc. Just a simple Old school cheap tank with nothing but regular Generic IOs and SOs iff it can be done. I've been looking through Mids but I want other peoples opinions on what they think will be cheap and still very effective from 1 to 50. Thank you for your help with this, I really want this to be my main so please help. I've been gone for quite a while.

I need help picking a Weapon set from the melee types that will be three things.

1.) Good damage
2.) Good attack chain
3.) Light on the Inf.

Secondary/Primary to go with each set will either be Willpower or Invulnerability or may try Regeneration.

Its fairly simple, I only have 40mil inf and no level 50. For those of you that say to get a Farmer, no thank you, I rather make this character the actual way it is suppose to be made with this game, back before the AE plague hit. Now with that said, I hope you can help me, Im not asking for Build per say, just your choices of weapon set and why you think that will suffice. Thank you for your time and good day!

Thank you for your input Rangle, I looked at my totals and saw I am 2.48/1.24 (EndRec/EndUse) I was told that it was pretty good for being lvl 30. But anyway I will consider your advice, I also have one more question. Would 40 million inf be able to produce all generic IOs for the SOs I have in the slots right now? I think it may be better since they will not fade with the lvls. Might give me a more solid feel till i get the sets without having to worry about my enhancments failing. I primarily want to do the Vanguard missions once I hit lvl 35 and go from there.

Also on the tip missions, are there a special type i have to do or is it just generic hero merits for those special enhancments?

Hello, First time poster here, need help with my shield/axe tank. You may note that I only have it to lvl 30, thats because that is what I need right now, a Solid lvl 30 build to get me through the Vanguard missions. I do not have alot of Inf, only 40mil. So I am hoping this can be done with generic SOs or IOs right at this moment. I will worry about sets when I get further up in lvls and can start getting more Inf. Just let me know where I should put my slots and what I should put in them to get the best I can out of the build for what I am asking, no more no less, thank you.
