  2. Travel issues (Red Side fairness aside) would be minor if the zone event was centered inside Firebase Zulu. That would also give an incentive to make those Soldiers stop firing blanks at those hallucinations they're always chasing.

For example: the protective shield of Firebase Zulu would be breached or at least have holes punched in it with portals filling up those holes.
  3. Or they could shift spawns away from the more dangerous contacts.

    Expand WST to AE

To expand on this further: Make it a string of content to balance it out with the usually longer SFs/TFs. (I.E. Part 1, Part 2, etc).

Or a definite 5-story arc with medium-long missions.
  5. No matter how well you lead, no matter how good the team is, there will always be a problem for my Mastermind that you cannot give me advice on to overcome it: the gathering stage. Everyone wants to stealth it. It's a headache to do it and it's why I hate Lambda and its poor design.
  6. Global threads, shards, and E-Merits would be wonderful, but they'd never consent to it. You'd have to pay Positron some untold number of money that I wouldn't be able to stuff in my pants.
  7. Among Freedom and Virtue...pfft.

Or everyone could be sent flying with a mega-strike that did a bit of damage at 10%, too.

    New Zone

    You know...

If the Shadow Shard was Co-Op, the Villains could have their own TFs or have their own versions of the TFs in there. For instance: Why help Sara Moore stop the summoning of Ruladak? Why not take a share of Ruladak's power for your own?

And Lanaru, letting him loose could cause some major havok throughout Rularuu's mind, allowing you to take even more power from the blinded beast.

Add in some villain and hero specific content...expanded on it some...
  11. Replace Longbow with the Military or X-Ray agents from FBZ/FBZ Military and I'll be happy.

  13. Just a little nitpick: Who is to say that Mother Mayhem and Malaise wouldn't make an attempt to control another aspect of Rularuu?

Other than that this is a great suggestion. Especially love the bit on the Paragon Times.

    /jranger

Trials/TFs/SFs were designed to take up a "considerable" amount of time. It was done to make them feel like an epic encounter. Granted, that is nowhere near the case, but that was the design. If you want to take a few days to run a single TF/SF/Trial with friends, that is all well and good. But changing the temps on the RSF/STF to accomodate a very small subset of players, no. If you are worried about the person that gets the temp DCing, then make sure you get the temp, or even the team lead.

Both the STF and RSF are just fine as they are.

Thanks for being "civil". Yes, I realize that those pieces of content take a lot of time, there's no need to tell me why. What I disagree with, is the 5 hour limit imposed on the team and the chance of someone who has the temp quitting or DCing for the night. "Making sure you get the temp" is an unacceptable answer. What if I run the risk of DCing? The temp should be spread across the team to remove the headache that follows with this. At least in Lambda you have a chance to actually acquire any temps you missed rather than being completely penalized if someone with acids or grenades DCs and is unable to rejoin.

An explanation would probably be helpful as to why you don't like it. And no, it's not GMs tossing you around with every attack. This would simply be a health drop mechanic that would stall regen. Example: 50% health you get sent flying (whether it be up or down should depend on the GM). Same for 25% health.

To suddenly add this is in would be like adding in little green aliens from Mars, when we alread have the Rikti running around. It's a huge disconnect, and also has no links to anything in game so far.

Frankly, theres so much canon un-explored and unrefined that time should be spent on expanding that, not going off on a random, unrelated tangent.

You summed it up perfectly, Alpha. Now, how about that Rikti homeworld, eh?
  18. I might come for a BAF. Lambda is the devil, though.
  19. Not as a booster. I've been waiting for these parts for years.
  20. Or, you know, it could not be a booster.
  21. You heard me right. 5 hours might seem like a lot to some people, but to others it's a race, and an unnecessary one at that. It really makes these challenges seem more of a sit down, which can be very, very annoying. If you have people DC and begin to stagger on time, you're in big trouble. Also, some people are short on time and enjoy running TFs/SFs over a couple of days with some friends. This is impossible to do with Statesman's Task Force and the LRSF.

Now I realize these challenges have become mighty easy as of late, what with Incarnate powers and all, but not everyone who runs these are going to be using their Incarnate characters for Every. Single. Run. Take that into account, especially when considering unforseen complications.

Also, as an added bonus: GIVE EVERYONE ON THE TEAM THE TEMPORARY POWER

If the person who has this ability crashes, has to leave, goes afk for too long, or is struck with some unforseen complication, then the entire Task Foce/Strike Force is botched. It's over. Your team is done. You will have to reform, and for some people this is both a rage-inducing experience and a big fat waste of time.
  22. I agree, lower Liquefy's recarge and add a 15%-20% resistance debuff to it.

Sonic Siphon should be a tiny AoE with a 4 target cap. Make it work like Phalanx Fighting. Up to 3 or 4 enemies around the target.

  24. Well then, we're gonna need alternates for every pet. Paragon Soldier uniforms/Firebase Zulu uniforms for Mercs!

(Steampunk bots would at least look better than the ones we have now!)
  25. My mercs still play pretty much the same before the arrival of demons.
