I am from South Africa and am looking for any GMT+2 VGs that will take new recruits (although I am a returning player with tons of alts). The reason I am looking for a GMT+2 VG specifically is that a lot of EU VGs operate at GMT or GMT+1 and grouping up with VG mates becomes a too late night experience for me ;-)

Keen for STF this weekend 18-20 May. -
It seems to be the general downside of IO sets in that they dont apply very well to "hybrid" powers. MMs are not the only ones that suffer from this. Consider a kinetic user, what do they slot into transfusion? A set? The they have 0 +acc to hit. The same goes for Twilight grasp.
-
Not sure what I am doing wrong then, even with tar patch, they dont do that much. Bots do more since tier 3 is a mega damage dealer.
-
Necro/Dark is not so good, your acc debuff stops the AV from doing much dmg, but necro pets dont do damage that much. Your tier 3 pet the lich is more of a controller than damage dealer like bots.
I have to get shivans to do the job mostly. -
Is it worth taking tactics for thugs? Thugs/Poison is very tight and it seems taking 2 powers for some extra acc is not worth it. Some say that you can save one acc slot on dmg powers and pets, but a fully slotted tactics is about +12% acc?
Some say that this is equal to a acc slot but in all your powers, is this true? -
I am a poison noob, just want to know: 2 applications of envenom on the same mob does not stack? The same question goes for weaken?
-
My suggestion has nothing to do with the slotting but rather the positioning in a fight. Now this might not be your experience at all but lemme ask you this:
Are ALL your pets in melee range except the Lich? I had incredible end problems solo until I realised that mobs were not going down fast enough because 1 or 2 zomb/knights were shooting from range.
I then made an effort in every fight to run all my pets right on top of a mob before ordering an attack. Things went down faster and I had to keep them alive less.
Its amazing how much more damage necro pets do in melee rather than range.
Another thing I have found helps is the 2 holds, fearsome stare and petrif gaze. Use the gaze on mobs that are NOT engaged and make all your pets attack one target at a time. Mobs go down quicker while their buddies stand around. This means less heals.
I also run darkest night rarely! I only use it on bosses with even more end saved on regular fights.
Hope this helps! -
Great job, hour and 10 minutes, rock on!

@boerewors, Padraig TeinEigin 27+ fire/kin troller in need of a respec, count me in
-
wow quite a range of replies, I guess everyone slots it according to their play style, I guess I have to experiment for myself.
The question is: when you stack char on a bad guy, does the DOT component stack and does it stack with its containment damage? -
For a solo fire/kin, what would be the best to slot char?
Would it be 2acc/2dmg/2hold or does the damage not do that much and 2acc/2hold/2rech be better to stack the damage from the hold and its dot? -
On my Ice/Rad
1. Does this power draw as much aggro as Arctic Air does?
2. Is it worth running it and AA?
3. Should I drop AA and go CC instead? -
My fire/kin is a soloer and there are some things I dont understand about this power:
1. I see it can take accuracy slots, is this for the damage component of its actions? As a soloer, must I slot it for accuracy?
2. The damage in containment, I cannot see how this damage ticks and I have tried. Lets say a baddie is immobilised with ring of fire, and hotfeet ticks for 5 damage, will it tick for -5 -5 every time it ticks?
3. Best slotting for a soloer? 2acc, 3 dmg, 1 end? or an even balance of 2acc, 2dmg, 2end? -
/bind x "tell $target, Hi there, do you have a spot for a healer in your team?"
Gets you a team 95% of the time ;-), emp trollers are good team mates. -
Awesome, I will contact you, any times that you are on in particular?

Well I am reading this thread because I am also playing a low lvl ice tank. The negative comments towards granite tanking just caught my eye and made me pause.
Here is the build for my Ice Tank until I can respec at 24.
Name: frozen idol
Level: 30
Archetype: Tanker
Primary: Ice Armor
Secondary: Ice Melee
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Frozen Armor==> DefBuf(1) DefBuf(3) DefBuf(3)
01) --> Frozen Fists==> Acc(1) Acc(13) Dmg(15) Dmg(17) Taunt(25)
02) --> Ice Sword==> Acc(2) Acc(5) Dmg(5) Dmg(7) Taunt(7)
04) --> Chilling Embrace==> Taunt(4)
06) --> Hoarfrost==> Rechg(6) Rechg(9) Rechg(11) Heal(11) Heal(13) Heal(15)
08) --> Air Superiority==> Acc(8) Acc(9)
10) --> Taunt==> Taunt(10) Taunt(17)
12) --> Wet Ice==> EndRdx(12)
14) --> Fly==> Empty(14)
16) --> Swift==> Empty(16)
18) --> Health==> Heal(18) Heal(19) Heal(19)
20) --> Stamina==> EndMod(20) EndMod(21) EndMod(21)
22) --> Glacial Armor==> DefBuf(22) DefBuf(23) DefBuf(23)
24) --> Ice Patch==> Rechg(24) Rechg(25)
26) --> Energy Absorbtion==> Rechg(26) EndMod(27) Taunt(27)
28) --> Frost==> Acc(28) Acc(29) Taunt(29)
Note that I have Air Superiority, one of the most useful melee powers in the game. I am planning to maybe respec out of it into jumping after I get Ice Patch, since this does the same but to a group and without activation. -
Bottom line is: my granite tank can easily take a whole team of dmg dealers, no trollers, no buffers and no healers through missions.
Also, I am playing an ice tank to see what the fuss is about and I must admit one thing: my granite tank is a HELL of a lot of work in missions compared to the ice.
Ice tanks have it easy. -
[ QUOTE ]
That latter form of Granite Tanker has little understanding of the huge array of tactical opportunities available to a real stone tanker, and has limited himself, and his team, in order to be a one trick pony, largely dependant on buffs and pool powers just to get by. He's a Granite Tank.

This comment makes my blood boil and is sweeping in nature. I play a granite tank, yes a granite tank. I use a lot of tools to keep aggro since my defence is taken care of. Yes I have ONE armour but MANY aggro keeping tools. I believe that a GOOD granite tank is one that has many tactical options with limited tools.
I mean this: Teleport, one simple little power with so many tactical uses. With some experimentation you can work out a tactical TP sequence using the terrain/corridors/boxes to best advantage. Now that is what I call tactical and thoughtful use of one power. Throw taunt/provoke/hasten/rech enh into the mix and yes, you can end up with a granite tank using NO attacks other than an AE aggro such as foot stomp/fault and using taunt/provoke as attacks all the time to keep aggro.
This is similar to your ICE tank Ammon that has 2 attacks, same principle, max out defense means you have less attack powers.
So you base your assumption of tactical awareness on the fact that a granite tank has ONE armour? Just because you use basically ONE/TWO attacks and MANY armours does not mean that an ICE tank is any more tactically aware. So I use ONE armour to keep alive and MANY tools to keep aggro. Surely you must concede that we both achieve the same goal, just through different tactical means?
I am fully aware of the large amount of tactical uses for my tools.
So please, don't offend me by calling me limited and a one trick pony that limits my team through my indestructability. I am a tank, not just a damage spunge, a tank that allows the whole team to easily go about doing their thing while I keep aggro. My Tank takes steps to ensure survivability of the team, not just me.
