  1. Great job, Fem! I'll make sure to play it.
  2. Awww Tal, that is just adorable.

Sorry to see you go, Kauket. You've been a great person to team with.

Hopefully we'll see you back soon.
  3. Bah. I just found out I have to work on Saturday.

Best of luck to all the participants, and a big giant thanks to Pum and Chloe for running this event. Sorry I can't be there.

    Feral Kat artz!

I dunno about 'hero'! Another great piece, Kat! Congrats.
  5. Glad you had fun!

Last two times Babbage didn't spawn for me, it was very likely that the GM was droned by moving too close to the darn tram station. Happened at 2/3 of the last Scrapyard fights I was around for, too!
  6. Soul of a Warrior, level 50 PB.

I don't consider myself an expert on PB's- I've needed to take advice from most of the posters here on making the AT work before- but after reading over the thread I really like the idea of changing the -Def over to -Res and having it apply on all forms. Lessen it to 5% or so and shorten the duration so it can't be stacked to rediculous levels. Maybe 20-30% stacked up?

It would help as a buff to damage both solo and teamed, make PB's a bit more effective on teams and probably cut back on some people's complaints about them not contibuting enough compared to another AT.

I've certainly never been kicked from a team, but I have sure felt like my PB wasn't doing as much as others. I have a dual build currently, one Human form and the other heavily slotting Dwarf and Nova. I contribute way more to the team on just about any other toon I can bring.

My PB is fun to play, and I really like the sounds/animations/colors. I'm pretty pleased with my toon's look and concept too! But if I were assembling a 'perfect' team, I'd pick a more focused AT over a PB everytime. And that comes from a guy with a few hundred hours of PB experience who considers himself a fan of the AT.

The damage buff a while back when they changed the scaler was very welcome. It felt great for the first few times I took Soul of a Warrior out! I don't think it really did enough, though.

I kinda like the idea of Cosmic Balance somehow applying to teammates, too. One of the things I love about my VEAT's as how well they can buff nearby teammates passively.
  7. Sorry Iggy, missed your reply! Thanks for the build.

    Fix Burn

I'll happily accept a change to Burn to make it work better.

My lv50 SS/Fire Brute uses it constantly with only Foot Stomp to help with the running. My lv38 Fire/EM tank uses it often on teams, but then I don't really solo that toon much. My lv30 DM/FA Brute is liking it so far when teamed, but will really get good use of it once I get Midnight Grasp and the patron Immob.

So I suppose I'm saying that I like and use Burn now, but that a buff would be welcome to make up for Fire's rather weak overall survivability. I have plenty of high level melee builds- both resist and defense based- that have far better survivability than my Fire toons.
  9. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Have a great day.

  11. Okay- just about done. I only need two Eradication quads to finish up. Missing those puts me at 43.5 AoE, 52 Melee (w/ two Divines), and 44 Ranged.

I ran a bunch of quick content last night to try out the efficacy. I completely agree with your comments below:

It depends on what the spawn is. Rikti are chumps, as are Malta, Crey, and Carnies. Nemesis are a PAIN, I can't run x8 on Nemesis missions or I'll get shredded by those Vengeance buffs.

If I miss twice in a row with Parry, I'm in trouble. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it usually means I'm toast if I'm fighting above +2/x6.
A +2/x8 Nemesis map chewed me up big time. The Vengeance buffs meant I couldn't hit anything. I dropped it down to +0/x8 and it was a bit better, but still a tough time.

I did the Rikti scrapper challenge thingy (well, what I remember of it- lv54, 2 Chief Soldiers, 1 Mesmerist, a couple more LTs and a few minions, no insp) within attack range of a pylon without any real trouble. Some tight moments, but nothing bad. I did the same against level 52's and breezed through with only one heal I can recall.

My only complaint so far is a lack of accuracy. It's very obvious on the Nemesis maps, but I also had a bit of trouble on the wall in Cim and fighting +3 and +4 Arachnos. I think maybe I'm just way too accustomed to toons with crazy levels of global +Acc, Rage, Soul Drain, etc., but I'm definitely not used to missing so much.

I'm going to push my difficulty down to +2/x4 or x6 and give that a go for a bit.
  12. Spent 4-5 hours respecing and shopping and I'm 80% done. It's costing me more than I expected- some of the IO's I don't normally use are priced pretty high. I'm not a good bargain shopper and tend to bid at the high end of the bid history to get what I need immediately. Probably spent 380m so far, but it looks like the majority of the open slots should be on the cheaper side of the scale.
  13. Ah! That makes sense. I tend not to exemp down to those low levels, and if I do, it would probably be on a different toon.

I'll definitely start working on a respec to bring this to life. Might take me a while to move everything around, but I'll let you know how it goes.
  14. Wow Pum! How very nice of you. I'll do my best to make it to the event.

In my own show of vast wealth and generosity, I'll add 100k Influence to the winner's prize.
  15. Hmmm. Amazing what can be done with IO's these days. Last time I looked at slotting my Katana/Dark, I ended up with a mish-mash of sets and without a firm goal in mind.

I should really take a look at that toon and see what I can get done. This build (with PP added) doesn't look like it would be all that pricey, as far as these things go. The only thing I see in there I might have trouble with is the Universal travel stuff- I don't think I have any I can use, and last I checked they were a bit nuts.

Might make a few little changes for the sake of preference. I love high run speed, so Sprint would probably need some -End in place of the extra Stealth. I'd switch Swift in for Hurdle too.

    Thanks a bunch!
  16. I have a DM/FA brute in the 20's I'd love to bring.
  17. That looked fun! Glad you were all able to get together.
  18. I just made mine at 1am Sat morning. Breezed through the early levels and got Stamina last night.

Seems pretty solid so far. I'm a bit fearful of how it will deal with damage come level 35+ on ITF's and vs tougher stuff like Carnies, but if my SS/Fire brute made it, I'm sure this one will too. I'm very much looking forward to Midnight Grasp>Burn and the Soul cone Immob.
  19. Sorry I couldn't make it in time! Hope you guys all had fun.

Funny... I was just fiddling around with one of these in Mids. By the numbers, it doesn't look incredibly strong, but I bet it would be a blast to play once you got into the mid-30's and had a really good solid attack chain and some IO slotting.

Claws/FA has interested me for a while now, but maybe I'll give DM/Fire a go.

    Anyone elce?

Mine updated in about 4 minutes last night. I'd advise closing it an starting over.
  22. I'd go more for slotting more efficiently rather than slotting the "best" set available. Those Obliterations are the obvious ones. Once your defence in a position is over 45%, the extra is just a safety cushion in general. Streetcleaner is dead on.

Switch out that PerfShifter Acc/Rech for an EndMod, too.

Tough and Weave have pretty hefty End costs, so adding more EndRed in those is advisable.

Resists are nice to have to back up your Defense, but they are exactly that- back up. Slotting more efficiently and giving up some defense is probably your best bet.

Hard to see how you are getting killed so quickly, though, considering the Def numbers. Were you fighting something with serious -Def, like... I dunno, CoT or maybe some DE?
