well, I love the fact that we have a new costume option (I still haven't heard, do new characters them)?
However... the Devs have continued their shortsighted obsession with LIMITING who gets what. Why do male characters get the one shoulder and females do not? Shouldn't it be the other way around?? Why can't both males and females choose the one shoulder or full front? Why can't you have tails with a toga?
WHY IS ANY COSTUME OTPION LIMITED BY OTHER COSTUME OPTIONS OR GENDER??
Please Please Please, the graphics are already in the game, just unlock everything for everyone!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
er, because the traditional toga goes across the chest diagonally and usually left one breast bare on women and this is a pg13 game. -

Slightly off-topic (shame on me!) but...
Who's the Stephen Brust fan? Just curious. -
I liked stealth the way it used to work. I had hoped this meant they were going to put stealth BACK like that. That was my first reaction to Statesman's statement.
I do not stealth my glowies, and that play style never really appealed to me. I clear 99% of all my missions, and usually the ones I dont want to clear are the "kill all" missions, so logically it makes no difference if you clear or not, the mission forces you to do so. But that's beside the point.

I wasn't the one who asked the question. I was only responding to your comment that "most people said leave it alone." That's it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then I apologize for the first part of my statement then. I do believe that the Devs sometimes need to take the attitude that if its not broke dont fix it. Improve Yes!
[/ QUOTE ]
Meh, no apologies needed. Forums sometimes R teh confuzzling.
Anyways, in retrospect, it is no surprise that this will get looked at. As mentioned somewhere else in this thread, all it takes is one Glowy mission per level and someone could farm that mission for the level.
Combine that with the well-displayed tendancy of Cryptic Devs to come down hard on anything resembling low(no) risk/High Reward and it becomes evident.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, I'm only up to page 37 or so, so if someone else pointed this out, I appologize.
Now, isn't there a mission somewhere in the 40-50 COH content that is a 10 minute timed click the glowy mission? The proposed changes everyone has come up with will make this mission uncompletable as it stands.
I read a bug thread on the mission, I recall quite clearly people stating it was not a bug and the mission had to be stealthed. -

Then we repeal the hated stealth nerf. The reason why: many well reasoned posts. It's that simple. You guys pointed out the problems.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you thank you thank you. This made missioning solo or in pairs very difficult for my scrapper, who is the main (only!) active scrapper in my sg. -
Went to Borders...no book. Ran to B&N, no book.

Also remember that the Freakshow will work for anyone who provides sandwiches and a keg.

I didn't think they actually ate. I thought they got their energy from their drug and batteries or whatever... HOW do they deal with their bodily functions? Are those claws and hammers removable? o_O
[/ QUOTE ]
According to in game descriptions, they have "care takers". -

It's the same symbol that Lord Recluse uses, although I'm not certain if it has an official name or not.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is definitely not the Arachnos symbol.
[/ QUOTE ]
It really does have a chitinous look about it, though. I suppose that could reflect their metallic blades and hardware more than a connection to Arachnos (perhaps the little dots on the circle are rivets).
Still -- CONSPIRACY!
[/ QUOTE ]
Remember, in the original CoV video, it was Freakshow supporting Lord Recluse, not that group he has with him now. It's possible it has spider undertones. -

Lastly, Manticore is short. Very short. Everytime I go by him in Brickstown, I make sure to mention that "I thought he'd be taller".
[/ QUOTE ]
A fact which every female around 4 foot tall is thankful for. Finally, a hero who's first view for me is not his belt buckle...or lower.
I'd cuddle and purr...but that spot seems to have been taken. -

I dont know if its me, but this seems like a weak attempt at damage control (oh, lets throw something out there to take their mind off I5)...
Or perhaps its the fact that Im just fuming that they keep nerfing every AT accross the board every time they do an issue. I mean come on...
Just my angry two cents
[/ QUOTE ]
They hardly nerf every AT with each issue.
Regen is not the only scrapper type.
And defenders, blasters, and controllers are rarely nerfed. Even wtih this issue, defenders were pretty much left alone, and blasters got a buff or two
[/ QUOTE ]
Dont be giving them ideas about defenders! It's bad enough that it takes me 2 minutes to kill a level 44 grey.
(ok, maybe a SLIGHT exageration. slight .) -
Thanks for the link, Kellis.

Are you sure about this? Doesnt look like arachnos's symbol. But that's ok, cause story wise we dont yet know about him. -
Hi guys, I'm writing about a freakshow member atm, and I was wondering if anyone could give me a name for the tatoo in the middle of their foreheads.
I just cant get a good enough glimpse of it in game to figure out what the heck it is. (And they tend to fall on their faces when their dead.)

This post introduces one of the staff of the Orthopedic & Chiropractic Unit of the Chiron Medical Center. Feel free to introduce staff of your own or use existing staff.
Chloe FitzSimmons opened the office at the bleery time of 7:30 am. She juggled her coffee, her keys, her purse and the rolled up morning paper to get the door open and hurriedly dumped it all on her desk to punch in the code on the security pad by the door.
Every morning started that way for her. Barely out of bed, mind still groggy, energy at the daily low. She hated mornings.
"You have 24 new messages!" A bright chirpy voice announced as she hit the voice mail button. Chloe groaned. Twenty-Four! in the space of 8 hours? She picked up her pen and began scribbling furiously to keep up with the cheerful voice of some anonymous woman who, if people had an inkling of who she was, would be the first person to ever be lynched by office workers.
When Chloe looked up next, the first patient of the day was being wheeled in by the orderly. The office was connected with the Chiron Medical Center, so the hospital got the first appointments in the long day of the Orthopedic & Chiropractic Care Unit.
"Morning, Chloe," said Bob the orderly, who sounded as grumpy as she felt, thank goodness.
"Morning, Bob. Who've you got?" Chloe peered at the patient in the wheel chair, who looked far more chipper than she felt, and he had the brace wrapped around his leg. Maybe it was the pain meds.
"I'm Dark Reign," the man admitted.
"G'Morning, Dark Reign," Chloe said. "Mind if I ask what happened?"
"I do mind!" Dark Reign declared adamantly. "I mind that some idiot worker left a stupid piece of copper pipe sitting in the middle of an empty lot! What idiot leaves metal laying around in this city? Dont they realize folks'll be speeding through?"
"Tripped, huh?" -
As we all know, travel powers can be iffy. As you fly, jump, teleport or speed around, you have to be careful for the least little thing in your path. Tell us your travel story, let us sympathize, let us realize, and let us laugh at your mishaps!
It was a beautiful morning! Blue Nugget took a deep breath and let it out with satisfaction. The smell of coffee waifted from her cup and she peered into the gloomy misty atmosphere of Dark Astoria. Well, it had been a beautiful morning until she had passed through the security gates. Why was Astoria always....well, dark?
She finished the coffee and stepped out into the damp mist. She scanned for Warshayde's thoughts, he had said he'd be near the graveyards. Ah, there he was.
Blue took off, launching herself enthusiastically into the air.
Baam!
She felt something crumple, pain erupted in her throat and spread into her skull. Desperate she fumbled for the teleporting device.
Too late! Any other time she'd be happy. Any other time she'd applaude Portal Corp's little toy.
"You sustained a substantial blow to the larnyx, Blue Nugget." The medic peered at her from over the chart. "What happened? Did you run into some Circle of Thorn guards? Maybe a Totem? The patterns of these bruises are odd. They dont correlate with anything I've ever seen."
Blue groaned. "I crashed into the side of a catwalk."
The medic just about died, laughing. -
