Not surprised by this at all. The process of starting a Praetorian doesn't require you to make an immediate "moral decision." Simple as that, IMO.

I tend to agree, partly due to some of the rumors I picked up during the (I think) GR closed beta. Some of the other testers at the time were mentioning something about Praetorian Hamidon looking a lot like the Hydra, but I have no idea if they'd actually SEEN such a thing, or if it was some word passed down from one of the devs... or just wild speculation.

That's just panic talking. BaB wasn't the only animator for CoX, just the one most people knew about, and many of us actually know or at least are acquainted with personally.

Sad day, but time marches on for everyone, things change. I wish them all the very best.

  7. Really wish I could be there, farewell party or otherwise. It's our L5R RPG night.
  8. It's a sad day, but these things happen for perfectly un-doomlike reasons.

I wish BaB and all of them the very best, with a heartfelt Thank You.

Sadly, when I watch the evening news, I end up falling asleep from boredom or turning the tv off in disgust.

I grant TPBM the power to make sniveling, whiny people who can't be happy with anything realize that they are the source of their own problem.

Other than taking Willpower as a set - obviously not an option on non-melee ATs.

    But the capability is there.
  11. Say "GOOD-BYE, RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC!!!"

TPBM has the truly cosmic ability to communicate with navel lint... anywhere in the Universe.

I'm assuming you're referring to 2 Hercs from different mobs, pulling one to the other. Won't work.

Re: Placta's comments, yes, they DO merge, as long as the above limits apply, but they don't NEED to merge; ANY Zeus will work.

Best way to get them to merge is get a team together and hunt Herc pairs in Warburg. I see them in pairs all the time there, but be warned: the combined Zues will con purple... hence the team suggestion.

As for finding pre-combined Zeus... a bit of luck street sweeping in PI can net you some, as well as 6+ teams running Malta missions.
  13. If they fix the inherent flaws of their prior execution of these "events", it'll be fun.

Don't wanna spoil it by saying much more about it.

Meh, it's a "labor of love" for me. MM has always been my first joy - first toon, first 50, first toon to solo GMs (5 so far, with my necro/dark main).

And "cheap" is subjective - I have several billion inf spread out across several toons.

Definitely cool with that, as long as it allows me to buy the power "Rain of Roaches" later. No damage, no fear, just a hard control that forces all affected targets to jump around crazily, slapping themselves all over while screaming "EEWWWW,GETEMOFFGETEMOFFGETEMOFF!!!" (Now... picture successfully hitting BAB with this... )

To TPBM, I grant the power "Increase the intelligence of the person at the other end of the phone."

Cool, thx - memory fails me at the moment; what are the two sets containing the procs shown here?

Going to go back and test several of these (and others) on several MMs, see what does and doesn't work. Wondering if they've got these all lined up and working now, or if it's as iffy (between MM primaries) as it was when I stopped trying. Being an MM nut, and having 7 on Justice alone, gives me the leeway to test a lot of this.

Heh, Dark Servant (admittedly a temp pet) allows me to slot Accurate Healing, and the Chance for Neg Energy never works. As to why they'd let me slot it... makes sense to be able to slot the REST of the set, I guess. On the other hand, my snark answer would be "bad design".

EDIT: just to clarify, you mean just the damage procs? or any chance for anything procs?
ANY procs that I've tried slotting directly on pets have not worked if they weren't Pet Damage or Recharge Int Pet sets, though I'll be the first to admit that it's been a while since I bothered trying - things may have changed since then. Unsure what issue was most recent when I went about pulling or replacing all of them.

A better damage proc for a pet that does more melee is a melee set damage proc. Ranged pets= Range set damage proc.
However, I don't think any pets accept Ranged Damage sets. Could be wrong. Haven't checked in a while, and such things have come and gone with various patches and issues.

In my opinion, the Build Up in Soul Bound (purple set) might be the best bet for one of your pets. I'm about 75% sure that it causes them to proc a build-up effect for themselves upon attack.
This works like a charm. Usually recommend putting it on tier 2 pets for necro and ninja, since they tend to be better than the tier 3s at damage, and are more numerous, resulting in more proc rolls.

That's the -DEF your seeing from the Jounin as an inherent effect for two of their attacks, Sting of the Wasp and Gambler's Cut, just like the typical Scrapper versions. You can see the numbers for these by going to the enhancement window, opening the detailed info for Call Jounin, and then opening the individual powers. One is -5% (base) for 10s, the other is for 6s.

Not sure what you're seeing for the presumed neg energy damage caused by your mercs, would have to see the damage log specific to your pets. Might be a hold-over that got missed, since I've only just created a mercs mm myself, nor have I tested demons in this way yet. But I can honestly say I've tested various damage and other procs in necro, ninja, bots, thugs, dark servant, singularity, phantom army and phantasm. The ONLY procs that have ever had any effects are those in Pet Damage and Recharge Intensive Pets sets (the DEF and RES procs and the build-up in Soulbound Allegiance).
  22. Actually, the most disturbing thing I've had a confused enemy do... was having a Mortificator rez me.

If you know anything about the "ick factor" involved in how they do that with Cadavers... well, ummm... ick.

That was some time ago, since which I believe they've fixed that as a bug.

    EDIT: here's some ideas;

chance for -Res% in Call Jounin (all their sword attacks will have the chance)
chance for smashing damage can go in jounin, genin, and Oni
chance for negative energy damage can go in jounin

Also, what secondary are you running?
A note regarding damage procs in pets: they don't. I put Explosive Strike: Chance for Smashing Damage on my Genin and Touch of the Nictus: Chance for Negative Energy Damage on Dark servant. Neither has ever proc'd. The latter works fine on my Twilight Grasp, but never on the Servant's. Pretty sure this is WAI. Though I don't think I personally would consider it OP, the powers that be apparently do feel that way.

I'll 3rd a desire to know the secondary in play, and would also like to know what PPP/APP you plan on adding, if any.
