I'll ask it in another way. If the reason we saw those huge instances was because of the PVP and not the insta-lvl 40, how come TEST isn't like that right now? I mean the only change is that there isn't an insta-lvl 40, but the PVP still remains on TEST. So what's the difference Manchuwook? I'm asking you honestly. If the pvp was the reason that event was so popular why isn't TEST like that RIGHT NOW?
Could it be that those peeps in the 30 instances found out how imablanced really is and that's why regular TEST isn't like that? Well I would expect there to be at least 5 instances if that were the case right? Is that how TEST is RIGHT NOW though? If not, then why is that? And which was more important to people, the PVP or the insta-lvl 40? Cause that insta lvl 40 code is the only thing missing on TEST right now.

How about this question "Would your view of world politics change if you were of a different gender?". Ehh, who knows. What we do know is what happened during the event that took place. You can cast doubt on the interpretation of that data if you wish, but what happened is fact. Is test not as popular because of this code being removed or because there is no event going on? I don't know. Is it because there is no new PvP zone to try out? I don't know.
From the testimony that I have heard many people enjoyed that they could create a toon and try out PvP. They had a good time and they never PvP. A big part of it is that it didn't take them 300hours to level up the toon to go PvP. Also, if their first creation was a dud they could create another idea and try that out. Now given that is a small sample size so you can apply it to a group.
In the cases that I mentioned above people enjoyed the event for many reasons:
- Chance to test out character concepts
- Lots of people in a PvP zone to play against
- A new zone to try out
As a feature is improved more people will start to utilize that feature. Doesn't that make sense? -
I simply don't understand why Cryptic wouldn't add a way to have player generated maps used in the arena. Make them a "base raid" via the arena, only allow one per character or what have you. Player generated content and/or PvP are required for the longevity of any game. Development time spent on generating player controlled content will yeild many more hours of play than creating another TF or badge. Take a look at chess it's a fairly successful PvP game.

(Maybe it's something to do with Buildup) There's a reason the majority of pvp'rs play one. The same goes for ice/em and ice/elec blasters. Next time you have a nerf post please provide of some kind of argument for why you think something should be nerfed not "spines is overpowered and popular please nerf it". Last I checked most PvPers that play stalkers in high end PvP play EM. I can think of many ways to detail why EM is superior to spines in PvP. The other non-EM sets have secondary effects going for them and that is it.
When you start looking at hero vs villains PvP balance heroes outshine villains in PvP any way you slice it. If you can't see that then you are not informed. Please save your PvP nerf comments for the hero boards. From the data I have seen there are MANY other powersets that could use some changes before we start looking at Spines and specifically spines on stalkers. -

My personal experience says otherwise. Any player that has done much team play learns that corruptors are a requirement for a good PvP team. Stalkers tend to be very binary in their function (they rock or they get rocked) and they work much better in zones than in arena.
I guess I'm surprised that corruptors aren't the most successful PvP AT.
So, don't slot for secondary effects on stalkers until this is fixed I suppose. -
Isn't having a level 45+ villain indicative of you testing I7 content? This contest would seem like a reward for those players that spent lots of time testing I7. None of the goodies earned will transfer over to the live servers. So, this is a nice move by Cryptic/NCsoft to encourage people to test. That's how I see it anyway.

Are you sure about this because impale takes range enhancements. I haven't tried slotting a range enhancement, but it sure seems screwy for them to allow the slotting of range in impale if it does nothing. This wouldn't be the first power where an allowed enhancement did almost no good though. -

How about this solution...
When a person is at their base for X amount of time they are removed from the bounty list. Immediately after leaving the base area they are added back to the bounty list.
Pretty simple and should make all parties happy. What do you think? -

Obitus must have not seen that Micro Huge video of him blasting every villain in the zone with the greatest of ease. After seeing that how could anyone think that Stalkers are uber?

Ahem, are you trying to say that a Buildup + AS from a stalker can one shot your tanker? I know you mustn't because that is simply false. I have beat the few stalkers that have engaged my invul/ss tank. You hit DP->RAGE->KB->Haymaker->Punch and maybe a break-free in there if they are EM and they stun you after the toggle drop from AS. The ToHit bonus from Rage 1-3 slotted helps cutting through their defense and the damage bonus is nice as well. I'm no PvP ninja either I just try to do what I think make sense versus my opponent and sometimes it works.
A tank is really a poor choice for creating a compelling argument for the nerf of stalkers. If you have ever seen the Freaks on Liberty bust on stalkers it's pretty sick. Most of the stalkers really don't like it. I think that learning strategies for PvP are essential for success. Anyone that does not learn these strategies will fail.
Most stalkers (in my experience) aren't much after the AS and if you have seen the Elernet video you can watch him beat people without the use of hide. His main tools are placate and TP foe. I don't like his tactics much, but he has been successful with them. I liked Slyfe's tactics much more. He even talks to his enemy before he engages them.

The only compelling argument I have seen for adding 4th of a kind slot to a power is to reduce enhancement diminishing as you level. Reality is that most players do not have the inf to keep all their SOs at +3 level. So, as your SOs age their effectiveness is reduced. This reduction is less dramatic with 4 of a kind than with 2 or 3 of a kind. For me it isn't worth it though, I don't slot more than 3 of a kind. -

Can we all agree that setting the defense debuff for Unyeilding to 0 on all ATs using this power would the be the great equalizer? It certainly does not favor one AT over the other.
I think that this -5% defense should just be removed. Invul has enough pitfalls as it is. Throwing Invul this tiny scrap of an improvement across ATs wouldn't be game breaking and would provide a much needed boost to keep in line with other like powers.
