  1. ALSO, check out the base. Succulent Abyss has placed down our beacons and will be dropping in the teleporters as soon as we can afford them.
  2. Okay Legends, I hope everyone enjoyed their double xp weekend. I know I did. I moved my Sonic/Sonic from 35 to 41, my Ice/Ice from 44 to 47, my Necro/Force from 28 to 32 and my Illusion/Thermal from 20 to 24. Not bad considering I took saturday off.

So, tonight we'll finish up Willy, and then work on Capes and Costume slots. Then if there is time we'll start working towards papers in Sharkhead.

Well then, it's going to be a hard sell, isn't it?
  7. Just out of curiosity, what kinds of sets do you guys think would be good for Lich? He doesn't really do that much damage compred to other Boss pets, so the regular Pet sets seem like they might be a waste on him.

Am I way off base? How do you guys slot him?

My Necro is a Force Field secondary, if that helps.

I'll say it again. I'm not buying it till I see a Granite doing a Flypose emote.

If the initial, smaller rush finds no problems with the arcs, then they can make really big announcements. At least, that's how I'd schedule it.
    Dear Zombie Man,

If you don't knock off the reasonable logic, you're not going to be able to hang out here anymore.

I'm with Lemure Lad. Pics or it didn't happen.
  13. I will give each of these at least a single play through.

I was afraid that was what you were saying, and basically that's not an argument I am prepared to accept. Consider my own reaction to every temporary power ever, including but not limited to Rune of Warding and Wave Scrambler.

"Wow, neat-o" And then I remove it from my power tray and never cast it ever again.

Keeping things unique is a terrible buisness model too. Giving people something to base a new character around leads directly to people making a new character, which leads directly to them sticking around to level that guy up. We should be beset with a torrent of extraneous options such as these. It's good buisness.

And hey, I made the OP better! Now all the pictures are to scale with each other except for the snake knife because I can't figure out how to get that stupid thing to show up in demos!
This post does nothing to explain why there should be less options. Maybe I'm just to brain fuzzed by work to get it.

Nice work on the OP though.

Why should temp powers get to be more unique than the powers that define our abilities? That's dumb.

Also, as near as I can tell the Broadsword and Longbow mayhem temp powers look pretty frickin similliar to to default options for Broadsword and Archery.

    Softcappers

Scissor Man is my soft cap, Blades/SR Brute. I also have Project Dragonfly, my Ninja/Energy Stalker, softcapped to Smashing, Lethal, and Energy.

Yes I plan to make more. If I can just maintain my focus on any one character for longer than a day.

No, I don't see the humor.
  18. I just want my Burning Forest back.
  19. Good work everyone who showed up last night. We started out with 9 players and scooped up a few more towards the end of the night.

Team 1 ran threw Willy Wheeler's missions, grabbing the Paragon of Vice Badge and averaging out at around level 18 at the end of the night.

Next week we'll get to 20 and then run costume and cape missions.
  20. I have a question. This has been bothering me for almost as long as I have been playing actually. Does Ms. Liberty die at the end of Lord Recluse's Strike Force? Because, she looks dead, and Statesman is eulogizing her and swearing revenge. But, obviously she is still in Atlas Park, and has been used in other content since Issue 8 when the LRSF debuted. So what happened there? Did she get a rez? If so all the angst on the part of Statesman seems really superfluous, after all he's been in the hero buisness long enough to know death isn't typically the end of the story. His reaction only fits if there is a genuine chance Megan might not be getting up.

    So, what's up with that?

    Thanks,
    -Blood Spectre

I was saving up to go to Hero Con. Then I decided I wanted a bigger house. Now I'm not going to Hero Con anymore.

Isn't she possessed by her ancient ancestor, or something? Maybe the fact that her mind exists in a bodiless void makes her desperate for sensation, to the point where she overcompensates by making her environment and her host as bright and garish as possible, all just to stimulate her own memories of what color and sesnation used to be like when she had a body of her own.

    Just a theory.

I still remember people disagreeing with me that Nemesis and everyone in his organisation seriously should have been seriously squashed out of the game due to the kind of reaction that his machinations would attract from all sides (he'd come back of course, but I don't think he could have operated as openly as he still does). So, yeah: the Rikti were the victims here.

Statesman's greatest mistake is letting the Rogue Isles continue to operate.
Well, I for one am generally in favor of horrendously vile moral acts, but let's set that aside for the sake of co-operation for now.

While it's true that the Rikti traditionalists are horrified at the truth of the war, the vast majority of the Rikti populace still does not know the truth of Nemesis's culpability in the inter dimensional conflict. This information is being brutally supressed by the Rikti warlord Hro'Dtohz. Or however he spells it. And the military, the actual dangerous segment of Rikti culture, supports their general. We know the truth, but the Rikti do not, and as long as that ignorance persists, they remain a threat to you. I mean us. To us. To innocent people. Yes.

But here's another angle to look at it from. We're all used to Nemesis's shenanigans over here. The Rikti don't seem to have an extra dimensional counterpart to a schemer the likes of Nemesis. From their alien perspective, even if they knew the truth, there is the very real risk that they might quite logically conclude that even if most Primal Earthlings did want peace, the attack DID originate from one of our own. We haven't given Nemesis over to them for justice, nor are we ever likely to do so. Nemesis is a monster of our world that did great harm to them, and continues to wish them further harm. Even if they believed that we, as a world, tend to rebuke Nemesis and his followers, what is to stop another threat like him from rising to threaten their way of life yet again?

No, logically, even if as well informed as we are, I believe the Rikti would continue to present a very real threat to our world. And thus the best thing for all of us is to settle in for a long, grisly war with a nice high body count on both sides.

    I love co-op.
