    Vultures

I personally think stalkers are more like raptors from jurassic park.

At least that's what goes in my head as I'm bouncing round sirens with the rest of the 'pack'
  10. what syn said, basically. Even if I do play an em/regen stalker :0

Ah well, II have fun anyway. I just want to see more variety of builds in there.

@ nightbringer: perhaps, i was thinking quickly of flavour of the month builds, rather than what would actually work

I'm not entirely sure you got what I meant - the 90% skill applies to teamwork, tactics, actual ability at the keyboard, knowledge of what powers do what. Of course a balanced team will sweep a loaded team of ice/en, or fire/rad, or spines/regen scrappers. But in 1 vs 1 or balanced team vs balanced team, the team containing the FoTM builds - say a couple of ice/en blasters, some spines/regen scrappers, an ice tank, with some stormies and some /rad trollers for instance, would comfortably beat a team of more PvE facing combos, as the balance is too skewed to build at the moment.

For example, my hubby has a rad/dark corruptor with tp as travel power. It works for PvE very effectively, but without respeccing to include at least combat jumping, he has a very tricky time in PvP. This is probably because he is rubbish . Same can no doubt be said for a lot of other builds that you just don't see in PvP, because they know that the difficulty setting is set too high.

I love PvP, my hubby enjoys it, even if he gets killed more than he kills, but the spread of builds in there needs to be more varied IMO. I wanna fight a trick arrow/archery defender!

You are absolutely right TG, there certainly are people who play the non-min/max builds, but by no means enough of them IMO. I think allowing a separate PvP build wouldn't encourage them - the playing field needs to be fair, so that player skill, not build, determines success. By focusing on build, it would discourage this.

(I'm of the opinion that PvP should be 90% skill 10% build - at the moment it feels like those figures are reversed)

I think I agree with Filth on this - I'm often one of the 7 stalkers teamed up with his dominator, and whilst we have a lot of fun in sirens, it would be nice to run into some more defenders/trollers/non ice blasters/tanks in there, and to be supported by more mm/brutes/corruptors/dominators.

I completely disagree with having a separate PvP build option - unless we are going down the spidy clone route, where each of us has numerous alter egos I'd much rather see casual PvPers being encouraged in, as I was, and having fun! Plus, it can be possible to have a PvP "build" that works very well in PvE, but it should be easier to do this (as it may well be impossible for certain powersets).

Back on topic, I'm really looking forward to RV, but will be spending time in Sirens and Warburg as I do now too, because each of them offers a different challenge. But for now, you'll see me (maybe ) in sirens. I'll be the one singing as I assassins strike
