    I prefer the term "annoyed" to "insulted." I am annoyed by the time gates currently in place because they create an excessive disadvantage to progression for those that don't do the itrials.

    All it would take after the current batch of changes for me to find the system acceptable is for each arc to be given their own 20 hour timer.

  5. I go premium when I feel like punishing the devs for decisions I disagree with. I'd rather be running DA arcs, but oh well.

    Developer decisions around here are like Texas weather, though. Don't like 'em? Wait around long enough and things'll change, usually to an acceptable level.

    I concur. While I may still never play a stalker, I've long agreed that they should be the single target damage kings.

    Now if the devs can figure out how to make tanks the kings of aggro management again, the 4 melee archetypes will be damn near perfect.

    Is 2 emps and 7 components per week actually being considered a fair and viable progression for soloists by the developers?

    What are the chances that the 1 component per day time gate is going to be changed to 1 component per arc per day? As it stands, I can't resub until we get something better than this.

    I run all 6 arcs in a night, get ONE common component (because my personal component drop rate after 13 drops is 100% commons) but now I can get 2 Emps but only once a week. Possibly 3 with the 1 possible emp per night although after 3 choices of incarnate merits I also had a 100% astral drop rate.

    Not good enough. I'm still getting complete crap each week in comparison to what I get get running trials.

    So... here's a standard week:

    Monday night:
    Run Heather's arc, get a common + 5 threads for random thread drops.
    Run Heather's arc again, get 2 astrals + 5 threads.
    Run it a third time, get 10 threads + 5 threads.
    Run a repeatable, get 10 threads + 5 threads.
    Doing any more than this and you're wasting your time.
    Tuesday night:
    Run Arc#2, ooo look, common #15 for me! + 5 threads.
    Run Heather's arc, get 2 astrals + 5 threads.
    Run it again, get 10 threads + 5 threads.
    Run a repeatable, get 10 threads + 5 threads.

    You get the picture.

    After a week, I get:
    7 component rolls, probably all commons, maybe I'll get lucky and get an uncommon.
    Probably 10 astrals from 5 rolls of astrals
    Maybe 2 emps from random rolls when astrals don't show up
    2 emps from completing all 6 arcs over 7 days
    280 threads from choosing the thread option and thread drops.

    Still sucks. Try again.

    It'll only take me two months to save up enough emps for that very rare. How incredibly generous of you, devs! You're so nice!

    We do what we can. I come here, throw out my opinions, haven't a clue if they're listened to anymore or not, don't really care. I'm going to share them regardless. I like this game. I have for a very long time.

    I'm actually more annoyed that there seems to be a trend of craptacular sound effects being added to the game than I am that staff won't be released before DXP weekend. Moot point as PS/NCSoft isn't getting another dime from me for anything until DA is fixed to my liking. It may never be. Life goes on. There are other games to play and I just finished tier8 on premium.

    They screw up, I stop giving them money, they fix it (or at least put something in beta for me to test,) I give them money, wash, rinse repeat.

    I once said I'll be around when the servers shut down. I see no reason that this can't continue to be true.

    Yup. It's the same logic behind redesigning an entire zone and adding a bunch of new arcs for soloists/small teams but then locking progression behind draconian and idiotic time gates.

    Guess they want us to dump VIP, play for free and ignore everything they add to the market.

    Oh wait... that's already done. Damn, these devs are awesome at manipulating me!

    No, Wendy. You get three options, once per day, total.

    If I've already run all 6:
    Day 2, I run an arc, I get a component.
    I then turn around and run either the same arc or another one, I can choose merit(2 astrals or 1 emp random.)
    I can then run either the same arc or another one and get 10 threads.

    That's it. The cap for ALL arcs in a 20 hour period is 1 component, 1 merit, 10 threads. After that, you might as well go do something else.

    Nope. You get 6 component rolls your first time through.

    After that you can get no more than a single component per 20 hour period no matter how many arcs you run.

    If you run through a second arc, you'll get either 2 astrals or 1 emp.

    Third run is 10 threads.

    After that, you get jack.
  23. So we're back to square one with the following:

    1: SS is not being ported to scrappers because it's already broken on brutes and tanks, therefore SS needs to be fixed now and ported over.

    2: SS is not broken and should be ported over now.

    In either case, continuing along with scrappers (and stalkers, of course) not getting SS is silly.

    It's true. I truly thought that claws/fa would be better than ss/fa for farming. Redraw killed that on both paper and in game testing.

    Yes, but it demonstrates that we're getting way out of bounds on the topic at hand.

    We all know that rage buffing everything is the reason SS is OP. We all know that by overlapping rage instances you get to ignore the defense debuff. The damage crash can be functionally ignored by filling that hole with temp powers that ignore damage buffs/debuffs.

    It's broken but how much more it would be on scrappers than brutes just isn't an issue.
