  1. Eh. I believe the reason against customization has something to do with the way summoned minions are handled, something about it being alot of work for a little reward, pretty much. As for why they didn't include female pets, they probably wanted a consistent look and didn't think about it.
  2. I posted this in the MM forum, but I figured I should post it here, too.

Since I don't believe the devs will proliferate Kinetics to MMs, (Imagine Fulcrum Shift on an MM...) but, why not take a few powers out of there and make an APP set of it.

    Something like...

    Repel

    Increase Density

    Siphon Power

    Transfusion (Or maybe Speed Boost)

    Transference
  3. Maybe replace it with Speed Boost, or turn this instance of transfusion into just a self heal
  4. I was thinking earlier today, since MM APPs seem a little messed up, some have shields, some don't, I figured why not try to make one out of a powerset that will most likely never get to be apart of the MMs repetoir. Imagine an MM with Fulcrum Shift... yeesh.

But something like this may work.

    Repel

    Increase Density

    Siphon Power

    Transfusion

    Transference

  6. Take Stealth as a placeholder for LoTG, that's about it.
  7. In addition to the energy mace guy above, I would like most of the 'elemental' blasts to have added gun animations (I.E. give Fire Blast a flamethrower animation, Ice Blast a Cryo Gun animation, Elec Blast a Lightning Gun, etc etc)
  8. Eh, some of those would be annoying to work with (I.E. Most freakshow don't have normal arms and would have trouble with dual pistol animations) I was thinking more...

    Mercs
    Base
    Malta
    Longbow
    Arachnos Wolf Spiders
    PPD SWAT

    Thugs
    Base
    Hellions
    Skulls
    Trolls
    PPD (Regular, not SWAT)

    Undead
    Base
    Vasilok
    Banished Pantheon
    CoT
And maybe zombies from the halloween event

    Ninja
    Base
    Tsoo
    Knives of Artemis

    Bots
    Base
    Clockwork
    Nemesis Robots
    Praetorian Clockwork

    Demons
    Base
    CoT/Infernal Demons
  9. I've just recently decided to make a Kinetic Melee brute, but I didn't want to go the whole KM/WP route alot of people seem to be, so I decided to try this. Only, I've never played an /SR before, either.

So, question. Which powers are the most important for KM/SR? And which ones can I push back til later/not take at all?
  10. Well, from what I can tell, I think IOs are much easier to get after 20 now with the new alignment merits.

Luck of the Gambler +Recharge, one of the most expensive recipes on the game (The last time I checked, which was a while ago, they went for about 175m on the market) costs about 2 alignment merits, according to the wiki.
  11. Force bubble is potentially useful, since Mercs are ranged, though it does tend to aggro alot of enemies. Good for farming and a little fun, at least.

Scorpion Shield is rather... eh. It's easy enough to max out Smashing/Lethal Def without it. From everything I've heard, Dark Embrace is the best shield as it gives resists for four different damage types.

Group Fly with minions can be neat, too.

Also, if your going with Mercs, pick up two copies of the Achilles' Heel -Res Debuff for Soldiers and Spec Ops, helps compensate for Smashing/Lethal Resists being so common,

And, I'd recommend Burst instead of Slug, later on, they're both pretty useless except for carrying procs, and Burst recharges faster, meaning more shots at the procs activating. (Although, Slug can take the Force Feedback +Recharge proc)

There may be a few sets getting a bit of an unintended indirect nerf though.
Energy Aura springs to mind. It's pretty much bottom of the barrel for Brutes but at least it lets you skip Fitness. Power Sink, one of its set defining powers, has just been devalued here.

Regen and Willpower are both pretty competitive in their own domains, so they'll feel it less. Ditto for Kinetics. Electrical blast is a low end performer, but its end return was pretty negligible anyway - I don't think many people were successfully foregoing Stamina on that.
Oh, please. Any Regen/WP player worth their salt would still take Health and Regen for the extra boost, considering that's how they deal with damage. Couldn't hurt Energy Aura, either, now they just do what they do better.

Innate Hurdle/Swift will be more annoying now, though, making Ninja Run really, really popular. And I hate Ninja Run.
  13. It's almost always beneficial to put at least one extra slot in the leadership abilities (2-5 for Manuvers, 1-3 for tactics, just 1 extra for Assault) Manuvers can even fit Luck of the Gambler +Recharge and the Red Fortune set for added +Recharge, and Tactics can fit a set, too. The only reason you'd want to slap an extra slot on assault, though, is to put another End Redux in there, there are no sets that fit into it.
  14. People with Regen or WP will benefit the most from this.
  15. I'm running a Mercs/Traps, myself. It's going well, as Soldiers, Spec Ops, and Acid Mortar can take an Achilles' Heel -Res Debuff, which goes along way towards buffing the Mercs damage.

Some of the vigilante tip missions set you against them.
  17. Redside ATs are built more for soloing, Blueside ATs are built more for teams.
  18. I named my Mercs after references to characters a specific genre of games, each tier getting names from a series of games.

    Soldiers:
    Vercetti
    Niko
    Klebitz

    Spec Ops:
    Gat
    Boss

    Commando:
