Well this is just one character's experience but after running many missions before this past weekend and barely getting even any orange drops I've scored 2 purples in the space of 7 missions. One before the patch and one after. In addition to seemingly more salvage and temp weapons drops as well it did make me go Hmmmm!

Early City of Heroes missions not as streamlined as more recent content shocker! Pictures at eleven.
-
For a very short while I thought it was really wierd that people would take a break to read teammate bios after a mission was completed.

While I'm very familiar with Bill Willingham and actually did recognize Scott Kurtz's name I won't be really impressed by the guest authors until we get Arcs written by Jim Butcher, Gail Simone and Mercedes Lackey, all of whom have played/still play the game.

No. I prefer to have all the information relavant to the mission/arc contained in the mission/arc. A pointer to extraneous material in the mission briefing might prompt a look at some point but only if it is some background info.

Played your Arc. Will be sending you a PM with my thoughts.

Quote:If you have the time my Architect arc should work at level 35. It is more of a heroic arc if that matters.
In addition to monitoring this thread for any more suggestions
Thanks in advance. -
Quote:I honestly seem to recall both a recovery and a rescue with the same homage. One of my favourite homages in the game.It's an Oscillation Overthruster with the serial numbers filed off.
I don't believe it's a recovery, you have to save Dr. Prinny from the BBI who refuses to divulge the secrets of same. -

Quote:Wow. Very much appreciate the re-run. I just triple checked to see if everything is as it should be and it looks like it is. So I look forward to hearing from you again.A Close Encounter

Overall Rating: Incomplete
Weve read on another reviewers thread that this story arc has some errors (which we also encountered while playing). When @Baler notifies us when these issues have been cleared up, we will gladly put this arc back on our queue.
@Cain Lightning
@LAMIKE
@Pankrator
Thanks very much. -
3 stars - Something annoyed me enough to take away from my enjoyment.
4 stars - I had fun and enjoyed the story.
5 stars - Something above and beyond got my attention and made the story stand out.
I don't usually go in looking to critique, I just feel like doing something different for a while. -
Quote:Thanks very much for playing my arc and especially for the second run through. Your review definitely has much food for thought in it and I thank you for that as well.
I ran through this arc twice. I don't do this normally, but the first time, I played a 26 db/ninj stalker duoing with a 19 sonic/storm corruptor as a lackey, and being on a team, I had to move faster and I didn't feel like I got enough detail. So I ended up running the arc again, soloing a 21 archery/dev blaster, to get a better picture. I'm pretty sure some changes occurred between my first run and my second run.
It turns out that I inadvertently sabatoged my story by using a different computer to check on some comments from other players. Republishing from that system took out the Qald minions and put Spaal Emt, who is a one time only character, into missions 2 and 3 along with nothing but the Lt. level Squeeqs. This was learned the hard way when I ran the arc with my SG on a team of 7. Now *that* was a lot of mezzing.
Again, thanks for the extra run and for the review. -
Quote:This comment has entered my mind many, many times while reading some of the back and forth in this sub-forum.One comment I'm reminded of: If it takes this much text to explain what you were going for in your arc, your arc probably isn't clear enough by itself.

The arc in my sig should work for most of your criteria. The first group is meant to be a bit of a pushover but I've had comments about certain elements in both groups being a bit rough for some folks.

He abused me via tell for the next 20 minutes calling me a noob and many other racial and insulting names.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why wouldn't you just put him on ignore after the first rude tell? -
Since you are looking for more I'll throw the arc in my sig onto the pile.

In short, I'm thinking about taking Penthouse and Commissioner G. To those of you that have followed the arcs, I ask... What do you think?
[/ QUOTE ]
Honestly, those were the least developed characters for me as well as the least memorable. So losing them wouldn't hurt your tale very much. IMHO. -
The arc in my sig would probably work for Ultimo Girl. If it works for you shoot me a PM with your impressions. Thanks. I'll have a look at your BE prologue later.

I'll be adding you to my list of people that could teach the Simon Cowell wannabes how to do a review.
[/ QUOTE ]
You might also want to figure out how to grow a thicker skin.
You asked for reviews of your story but when the responses came in contrary to your expectations you went on the defensive. And instead of moving on from a "bad" review, this comment makes you look like you're holding a grudge.
Not everyone is going to have the same reaction to your story. Bask in the glow of the praise, accept any suggestions you think will help and ignore the rest. Life's too short. -
Thanks for the run through and review.
[ QUOTE ]
Also change the objective text in mission 2, the "Secure the Warehouse" part implies defeat all but the mission ended when I found the last glowie instead.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's odd, I've not had that happen or had anyone else mention it. It is a defeat all. -
I would like a quick review when you have the time please.
