Quote:My thoughts exactly.Oh, good. Having Batman, Inc around will give all the thugs that Batman punched, crippled, and/or hung upside down from a skyscraper and interrogated someone to sue.
Also, wouldn't the police be obligated to arrest him now for being an accessory to Batman's crime of vigilantism? This is the kind of thing that could only happen in comics or bad sci fi channel movies. Ugh.

Last Saturday's MA Superteam Halloween theme was Monsters, Mayhem and MA! We ran 2 arcs that featured either monsters or a Halloween storyline:
Once A Hero, ID #447488 by @Lord of Storms
5 mission arc, Heroic
Halloween Weenies...The Superguys vs the Stinky Pumpkin, ID #448348 by @Jinkobi
1 mission arc, Neutral
Both missions fit the bill perfectly! Once A Hero featured a plethora of custom monsters and Halloween Weenies was a trick-or-treat delight! Check 'em out next time you're in AE.
Next week (11/6/10): to celebrate the recent election and your power of voting, we're running a couple rounds of Make or Break! We'll do a search for random 5 Star arcs with 10 or less plays and see if they survive our honest ratings. Should be a good time, join us! -

Great job, my fav has to be the "Above the Law" design. It really captures the look of a Mt Dew brand.
Duplicity was nice, too, but shouldn't it have been "Dew-plicity?" *wink!*
The Dr. P design also rocks. And for those wondering what it would taste like, just bite the ends off a hollow stick of black licorice and use it like straw -
2 questions:
1) Will he sparkle in the sunlight?
2) How does emo-superman cut himself? -
Cybernetic Ninja Zombies?!? Post it even if you get done after next weekend
-
Awesome, Jinkobi! This is just the kind of thing we're looking for

Next weekend the MA Superteam will be running Halloween themed arcs. If you've got one or know of a good arc you've played, please share it here. We put them all in a pool and pick arcs randomly as time permits
Happy Halloweening,

Saturday was a fun time with a near-full team and fun MA nostalgia! Our theme was Superfun Flashback!! A Celebration of the MA Superteam's 1 year anniversary with 4 lesser-know, random, yet memorable arcs from our long list of completed runs:
Getting to Know Crey Financial, ID #1034 by @NiteLash
1 mission arc, Heroic
The Christmas Zombie Attack, ID #353610 by @Desist
3 mission arc, Heroic
Sister Psyche TF Abridged, ID #306814 by @Big Rehab
5 mission arc, Neutral
Obesity Is Killing US, ID #18854 by @Destiny-Morna
1 mission arc, Heroic
These 4 missions run the gambit of good and bad experiences that the MA Superteam faces every week.
The first arc, Getting to know Crey Financial, was actually the first arc the MA Superteam ever ran!! I think we're going to make it an annual traditionIt's only 1 mission long, features a great concept, costumes and dialogue and a lot of potential for a full arc if the author ever decides to expand it.
The Christmas Zombie Attack was creative, beautiful, and creepy all at the same time. This mission was worth it just for the Burton-esque feel and incredible custom costumes!
Sister Psyche TF Abridged was a faithful condension of the classic in-game TF. And while it wasn't necessarily any less teidious than the original, it is unique in the fact that it give Villains a chance to experience some heroside story content and get some nice rewards in the process.
The last arc, Obesity is killing US, was one of those arcs we run into a lot: an arc with a TON of potential, but poor execution. We all had so many creative ideas on how to make it a better mission that one member is considering making a contest to see who can re-write the arc better!! Give it a play and see if it kicks YOUR creative juices into gear
Next week (10/30/10): it's Halloween weekend!! Join us for a Monsters, Mayhem, and MA!! We'll do a search for some Halloween/Horror/Monster arcs and see if we can't find some fun ones! Hope to see ya there
*** Have an arc that fits next week's theme? Post it here or PM me the ID # to add it to the playlist pool -

Last weekend's update: our theme was Dr. Aeon's 3rd Challenge Arcs - Round 2! We ran 2 new arcs which were submitted for Dr. A's latest contest:
A Very Special Episode, ID #457506 by @Wrong Number
4 mission arc, Heroic
Who Dares Wins, ID #454805 by @Zaphir
5 mission arc, Rogue
Both arcs were very heavily detailed and should be top contenders for the challenge. It might be best to run these solo, tho, as there's so much detail you will really want to take your time to experience 'em.
In the end, I think we all agreed that they were both good arcs, but Who Dares Wins was probably too detailed. Reading everything gave us text-fatigue >.< And, not sure if was coincidence or not, but it followed the same formula as the last Dr. A Challenge winner by dropping a mission clue backgrounder each time. It was almost formulaic in that respect, and a bit tedious once you were aware of it.
Anyway, they were both good stories and had interesting characters and dialogue. Give 'em a run!!
Next week: it's the MA Superteam's 1 year anniversary!! Join us for a SuperFun Flashback!! We'll choose a few of the funnest arcs we've played in the last year and see if they still hold up! Hope to see ya there -

Good title WN! I was cramming my brain with the likes of "That's Entertainment" and "The Show Must Go On" but couldn't come up with anything that really stuck out. Special Ep works great.

Congrats Bob, Capa, and everyone who entered. It was fun reading these and another great PERC event!

Tomorrow we're running Dr. Aeon's 3rd Challenge arcs. If you're the author of one of the arcs we play, you may want to install Ventrillo and join us on the live chat to get real-time feedback.
Just hit me up for the login info here or in-game. -
You may have interpreted the player mindset incorrectly, cuz I doubt anyone truly wants to pay more for their game.
I think what's happening is, instead of saying "yeah, great idea, you should post that in Suggestions!" (where it will die a horrible, miserable death BTW) Players are saying "Yeah, it could be a super booster!"
In other words, they're saying your idea is so good, they'd pay money for it. The ultimate compliment, not an actual desire to pay.
Make sense? -
The older you get the worse everyone else's driving gets. Also: get those kids off my lawn!

Thanks all, interesting results. Here's a compiled list of criteria an arc should feature to get replays:
- Short
- Team Friendly
- New to AE Friendly
- High Rewards
- Light-Hearted, Fun Story
- Good/Creative Enough to be Fav'd by a Regular AE Player
- Changed/Updated Often
- Make a Request for Replays/Feedback
- Have Devs Add Rewards for Authors Who Get Replays
-
I find that I rarely replay MA arcs.
Sure, I have my list of favs and will run them with a friend who hasn't done 'em yet, but I just don't find myself going to AE and re-running the same arcs over and over (my own mission excepted since I have to test it every update.)
By nature, I'm easily distracted by shiny objects and I don't like farming so that may be part of it, but whenever I have time to play in AE I'd rather try something new than play a story I've already been thru. There's so many thousands of arcs out there, I'd rather spend my time finding something exciting and new.
The strange thing is, I have no hesitation replaying Dev Content over and over...
How about you? Do you like to replay MA Arcs? -
Quote:Pretty much this.Basically, the Posi TF 1&2 is just for leveling pre stamina lowbies or for people who want the TF Commander badge...
- Good, quick XP for lowbies
- Larger pool of players to recruit from
- Dopplegangers
- Minimal time commitment
- Shiny & new
- Casual
- Fun
I actually prefer Posi to the ITF cause I LOATHE speed runs and most Posi's are done at a casual pace and still finished in under an hour. -
Put me down for "brother" not "boyfriend" on the new dude.
