Very cool promo Rosa, I'll pass on the word and see if I can fit it into my weekend playlist!

Knowing Supa, there'll be cake, pie, AND bacon!
EDIT: and cookies ("Sorry, Officer, I'm new here.") -
Quote:Dr A, it seems to me it's not so much the WORDS that are the problem, but the CONTEXT of them. The way the filter is 'seeing' the words.Hey everyone,
The authmerge earlier this week put in an update to the profanity filter for Architect and fixed things like Paragon being blocked. We're still aware that there are some issues regarding words still being blocked. There will be another pass over the profanity filter for these other exceptions and another update will be rolled out afterwards.
If there are more very common words that you're still finding blocked, please post them below. Thanks!ie. a critter's name is one thing; a filename is something completely different and has no business being filtered.
In addition, it seems that the filter is not recognizing WORD COMBINATIONS or GROUPINGS.
Also the fact that it's seeing "Aragon" in "Paragon" shows that something is set seriously wrong with the context filter or filter settings."Angry Cyclops" should be seen as a word grouping, not as individual words where "Cyclops" is, understandably, filtered.
It didn't have these issues before the last issue update, why not roll the filter back to the previous, functional, release and work on the new filter on TEST? Which is what TEST is for! We'd be more than happy to give you feedback there. -

Seriously, the level of detail in that piece is pure win. And the comments section just takes it to 11.

Not sure how I missed this thread for so long, but I'll be sending you a .critter of Back-Fire seeing as how I'm already stinking up the joint in Union!
Fun idea! -
Who's the blue guy behind Spawn? Sandman or Heath Ledger's Joker? Oh, and the guy with the gold glasses?
The rest I think I got:
Flash, Capt. America, Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Spawn, ?blue guy?, Catwoman, Mar-Vell, ?gold glasses guy?, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter. -
Quote:On Union I joined Union Chat and Sals Badgehunters. Union Chat seemed to be the more active of the 2 and filled with very colourful charactersRemember to ask which global channels you should join on your new servers people!
And what are you doing on Freedom, Damz? I could have sworn you'd join the madhouse on Justice! -
Yeah, this is an issue with an "overzealous filter" and has been a reported bug since April.
Good to hear you got your arc up and running again -
New characters being created left and right today and low level IOs & salvage are available at under crafting cost/vendor prices.
I expect ebil-er from you. -
Union was fine without 'em, as Flea brought some Bacon and Pie from the NA servers with him
Good time and friendly players on Union. Next up, Defiant! -
I survived and thoroughly enjoyed the show playing in the backgroud of my desktop while working most of the day.
Was a bit frustrated at the chat interface not working in Firefox and being locked out of the conversation & trivia contests til I got home and switched rigs/setups but was still fun. -
Crossed the pond and snagged the name, "Back-Fire", on 3 out of 4 EU servers!
*does happy dance*
Now PL meh!! -
I wasn't able to log into the ustream chat until the last hour and a half so I missed a lot of Dr. Aeon's time answering Q's. Did we get any new AE news updates from the stream?
I asked about:Incarnate Awards in AE
Sadly, none were answered. But then there were over 1000 people asking questions at the same time and I don't know if he had already answered any when I wasn't on.
HoF requirement revisitation
AE UI update plans
Future Dev Choices
and What he thought of a Farm arc getting HoF
Anyone get any tidbits? -
Hello fellow Ænvaders!
We're about halfway through our event and, looking at the schedule, have some big name servers coming up. Problem is, we still need Æmbassadors!
Bubba has volunteered to lead the Virtue Ænvasion in 2 weeks but we would still like representatives from: Liberty, Champion, Protector, and Freedom. If one of these is YOUR home server and you'd like to help out, please let us know either by posting or via PM if you'd be willing to be Æmbassador.
Being Æmbassador is simple & rewarding:Choose the arcs to run on your server's Ænvasion date (if you need help, members of the AE Storyteam can come up with some for you)
If you've never led an AE arc before, it's actually pretty easy and there's plenty of support to show you how.
Lead one of the teams on your Ænvasion date, copy/pasting the unshared mish text and contact bio.
Promote the Ænvasion on your local server thru Forum posts and/or global chat announcements on the week leading up to the event.
Just let us know if you're up for it! -
The AE Storyteam that usually meets weekly on Triumph is branching out and Ænvading other servers for the next few weeks. Each week we're hosting a simple, fun AE team up to run non-farm AE arcs and share our unique brand of fun with other AE Enthusiasts or players interested in trying out something new!
We meet in the RWZ AE building so it's co-op and all levels & ATs are welcome to join.
Guardian native, SupaFreak will be choosing some of AE's best stories and helping to lead the teams. We've scheduled the Ænvasion for Sunday at 12 noon Eastern/9am Pacific in RWZ.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, post here and let us know. If you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer. We look forward to playing with ya and showing off the fun side of AE! Join the Ænvasion this Sunday!
tl;dr version:
What: Story-driven AE teaming
About us: The AE Storyteam is a group of players, and authors, who meet every weekend to run AE story arcs and search out the best AE has to offer! We've developed our own unique brand of AE teaming where we share all the contact dialog with the team and take our time to read and experience as much of each story as we can. We're always looking for new members who have a passion for playing & creating AE arcs!
Who: Open to all players (any level or AT)
Where: AE Building in Rikti War Zone, Guardian
When: Sunday 5/15, Noon Eastern/9am Pacific
Why: For FUN! -
Week 4 of the Ænvasion event was our biggest turnout yet! Infinity players showed up in force and ready to take on a wide variety of creative AE stories!
#338380 "Talos Vice" by @PW

#494099 "When the Words Stop" by @Clave Dark 5
4 Mish, Neutral
#379488 "Storming Citadel" by @MrCaptainMan
1 Mish, Heroic
First up was the 80s-inspired action arc, Talos Vice! A fun, creative, story that not only mashes up the 80s icon, Miami Vice, with CoH lore, but also manages to fit perfectly into existing canon and break the mold of traditional storytelling by presenting all the mission text in a movie script format. This fast-paced, funny, and cinematic masterpiece took home BEST OVERALL for the week!
Thank you to the players on Infinity and PERC for being so friendly and putting up with our issues with the League UI (note: we're going to skip using the League UI for future events until it's more stable). Your enthusiasm is contagious and we hope to return to Infinity for more AE events soon!
Next up, Rayonn chose a very different kind of story in When the Words Stop. Imagine a mystery crafted by the likes of Neil Gaiman, James Joyce, and Salvador Dali, with a dash of the comic The Unwritten and you've just scratched the surface of this truly unique arc. I can't even begin to claim I understood everything that happened in the story, but I do know it is very rich in detail and well crafted. If you run it and don't get the main gist, be sure to read your Souvenir for the Cliff Notes version. MOST UNIQUE! and worth a 2nd or 3rd play to get all the clues.
Storming Citadel wrapped up the day nicely with it's very clever use of AE to transport the players INSIDE the famous hero, Citadel, for a fantastic voyage of AE fun! This timed, 1 mission arc still comes off rich in story, character, and details. From the perfectly appropriate map to the repurposed enemies this is an arc that will get your heart beating and tickle your creative bone! MOST CREATIVE!
Next Sunday (5/15/11): the Ænvasion! continues!! Join us on Guardian Server at the AE Building in Rikti War Zone at our regular time: 9am Pacific/noon Eastern. Guardian native, SupaFreak will be picking some great arcs and I'm sure we're all in for some dyne-fueled fun! Remember, all levels and ATs are welcome to join so feel free to make an alt and see us there! -
Thank you R-Tech, it was great seeing so many players come out and support the event!

But a rollback until the problem is fixed would be the simpler solution. It's just silly that half of AE is broken and has been for this long.
-
Where's my shrinking pill? I want to see it!
-
Don't forget, this Sunday the Ænvasion is on! I've picked a few "Infinity" themed arcs to run I think you'll all enjoy. Hope to see you there!

What awesome tech! It's like a mood ring for your head!!

I just can't resist a good geeky parody, but they gotta update the song to swap some Mt Dew in for Coke. Really.
