So I have a fresh install of win7 64 bit build 7100. I have two 260 GTX's in sli on an asus p6t with a corsair HX850 PSU.

I can run TF2, COD, L4D no problems in sli. COH, not so much. It starts but takes a really long time to get to the log in screen. I can long in, select a server, select a toon and the loading screen launches, the load bar however, crawls an after a few minutes of waiting..it kicks me back to the log in screen. I have tried to reinstall, I have tried a fresh install, I have tried to move it from a known good installation of COH on another Win 7 box. I have rolled back the Nvidia drivers to 185.81 and still no luck.

Am I missing something? Is there something I need to do to turn on sli or make it work with coh?

which is silly because a good team on a 54 boss farm gets much better results. But you have to have a good team, players who know their rolls and how to use thier toons (oh and have ios etc..).

it's not an exploit is is very very difficult and challenges a good player.

Look..IF someone thinks City of Heroes is Atlas Park AE pls to 50 and nothing else, asking where the train is, how to fly, where are my powers, what are ios, what is the market for, why does that man have a big globe on his shoulders, what is an sg...

You will never...never turn that person into a regular player who pays 14.99 a month to play the game. Take me for example, I like to pvp. I have done most of the old content and even a LGTF (never again..oy!). But I don't really care about new content and don't care to play it. I do care about pvp changes to at and new at's that may affect pvp team balance. To that end I am forced to pve to get my level 50 to pvp with (like the dom changes and making a mind/fire dom).

Now, there is a system in the game that allows me to do that without having to tv farm, or run paper mishes with a stalker..then awesome. It is keeping me in the game and keeping me paying 14.99 a month and trust me I am not alone in that.

There are benefits to AE as is for current players who do stay in the game for other reasons. We know about the content, we did it. If I have to deal with "how do I fly" so beit.

being able to create your own pvp zones would be awesome.Capture the flag in this game is sorely needed and probably would be too much fun to do.

Being able to create arena maps with objects would be fun as well - adding say a AV or spawn trigger if you enter a certain area..(imagine a GM spawned in the middle of a match).

Seriously it I call BS to that argument too. You want new players but you want them to be the way YOU are. How is it ruining the game is NC can take 14.99 from a few thousand people who then leave a month later. Who cares, do you really think they would stick around anyways? People interested in the content will look for the content. People who want a 50 an then never leave atlas or mercy...meh who cares. The other poster is right - people will always find ways to level in mmos.

Let me ask you this - if the 5 missions of TF Commander got you from 1-50 and and someone never played any other content..would you want tf commander banned too?

they can fix the problems with stealth easy by making things like choking cloud, woc and others be an auto hit - stealth - kinda sorta like artic air.

Seriously...you expect me to believe that someone cannot figure how to get out of atlas park? That a player cannot click the map and see the train or the tunnel out? Come on your being overly delusional as to your importance. I'm deluded in thinking a 5 year old mmo is going to make it to 10? So the game is not for me because I am not commited to leading new players into pve content and getting long term players?

There are rampant mmo'ers who just sub a game ask how to pl to see what they get at the max level - futz around with their toon for a month then leave. Trial accounts limit levels to what 14? so they have no idea so for 15 bucks they can find out (granted a villian means they do have to do a patron arc but you don't even have to finish that....)

Look at it this way - those leveling junkies, they are paying to play too. Maybe 1 month, maybe 2. No way in heck this game is going to get any 5 year vets who started in the past 6 months...not with the flood of new mmos coming (even competition from nc soft and aion)..so any short term money they put in this game gets you development...and say they are like me ...and try another mmo - hate it and go "hmm coh I leveled fast and the powers were cool...etc...." they come back.

Patrons are an excellent example of that. I remember a 10 minute conversation with someone last year trying to give them some market basics and explain how I really wasn't level 10 (I was doing an Ouros arc and had hit the market).

I really think there just needs to be some way to let the new AE people know there is a big world out there. Yes, the leveling will be slower in general but there's a lot of cool things to see and stories to experience.

They know..they choose not to do it. so pfft in their general direction.

The majority will be gone in a month, some will find the content and stay some will find pvp and stay..some will make friends and stay...

everest is not the best guage of a powersupply. if you know the model you can look it up in jonnyguru that site does a lot of power supply reviews.

Do you seriously think new players to the game who use AE would stick around anyway? If they get bored from getting a 50 and not learning how to use it or even trying ( let's be honest - cox does not have the biggest learning curve compared to other mmos)...

Then they are not staying. Find me one person who says "oh I tried that it was too easy to level so I left" The reason they do it is because they don't want to do the content...they dont' care about it..so it's not going to keep them. Nothing will..

I tried Wow...i only stayed a month. You know why? - the movement was terrible, the leveling was slow, the missions were repetitious.

When I started COH I had a fire rad troller that I got to 20 just doing streets and some early missions...You know what hooked me? Fast pace of game and leveling...

So I ask again - why care about new players and how they use the game? Putting huge limitations or expecting them to play the game the way you play would kill new subs more than anything else....

Someone asked me "where do I put enhancements.." I told them and then laughed to myself...

lol I will give you a perfect example - a corr and mm were tping from the hosptial to the roof and trying to kill targets. It worked okay for them. When they started getting in trouble I would help out by as ing before a blaster or scrapper wrecked them. One of them sent me a tell calling me a kser and to go away. I said np, I will just hang and watch. They got wrecked, by one blaster and then one scrapper...

I sent him a tell again - saying this is working out great for you, why not invite me to team? "I don't team with stalkers...."

Stalker as is unresisted dmg. Dr affects dmg boosts etc but AS is still unresisted. Two stalkers can take down anything with double AS - except maybe a tank/brute or mm in bg mode.

lol and people ripped on me for my post about it being intentional...look on the bright side at least they didn't delete any pvp ios you got before the "change"

if it happens in more than one game it very well could be your psu - I run a single 260 with an antec quattro 650 and my sli I run a corsair hx850.
