  1. Did this last Saturday with my elec/WP Brute-damned near died right at the start. Grrl hits kind of hard, yup. Quick action by my team-mates saved my bacon (and THANK YOU,FOLKS!! by the way). Seemed like a easier fight once we could all concentrate on her.
  2. My 2 cents here...suppose you like steamrolling AND a challenge? Some nights,I like to grab one of my 50s and lay waste to everything in my path or everything that might be in my path or.....well you get the idea.
Some nights I like to do Apex or Tin Mage, which at the moment are the hard TFs. They are challenging for me and I enjoy it.
To me,it doesn't have to be a either/or situation. It just has to fit what I feeling like doing.
  3. I would like to come-I have several that can do this: Rawn (stone/ice Tank),Terziel (Widow), Isotope Hexx (rad/rad corr) or Hrolf (scrapper). Who would you like?

edit: forgot one guy-Berzerkertron (electric/WP Brute)
  4. I'm up for this-would like to bring Hrolf. (scrapper)
  5. I would like a spot please-I can bring a defender (Bantam Sidhe),a scrapper (Hrolf) or a blaster (BFG Mark 1)-who would you like?
  6. I'm up for this-I can bring Berzerkertron (electric/willpower Brute) or,assuming I DID get her Alpha slotted, Terziel (melee Widow).
  7. I would like to come-I'm inclined to bring Hrolf (broadsword/invuln scrapper),unless you want another Tank. That would be Rawn (stone/ice).
  8. I've wanted to try this one-I can bring Rawn (stone/ice Tank) or BFG Mark 1 (AR/devices blaster),depending on which you would like.
  9. Sign me up please-have a Dark Tank, two scrappers and a blaster who don't have the badge for this-tell me who you want.
  10. I'm up for this-can bring a tank,scrapper or blaster,depending on what you need.
  11. Ran into the same issue-I tried the instructions in the other thread about this (delete .checksum and .PRV files, flush DNS cache, and let the game repatch). It worked for me BUT I had to verify files at least twice before it stopped fixing things.
  12. Please sign me up-I'll bring Rawn.

edit: depending on whether we have another Tank or not,I could bring a rad/rad corr instead. Guess we'll see how it works out...
  13. Sign me up,please-I can bring either a tank or a scrapper.
  14. Kahn sounds good. I wouldn't mind another shot at the Statesman TF either-I have yet to beat that one.
  15. I'll sign up-I have a katana/SR scrapper (whose name escapes me atm) to bring. I'll post the name as soon as I can remember the danged thing....

    (edit) Llorn.
  16. I have a Stone/Ice tanker who has Teleport and Flight. I HATE teleportation as a travel power but love it in missions-quick and easy way to reach the baddies.
  17. Signing up for the Hero TF-Isobelle (Blaster-lvl 27).
    global is Laciel1.
  18. Came across this Sunday morning. I zoned in and was hit by map-server error after map-server error. I would say I was getting them every 10 seconds or so. My ping jumped into the 2000-2500 zone and stayed there as long as I was in Sharkhead. I did 2 missions there and had no problems once I managed to get inside the door. I checked early this morning, before coming to work. Still doing it. (Whoops-Infinity server).
  19. Running Windows XP,service pack 2: I upgraded to 197.45-although CoH ran pretty well, some of my older games were mis-behaving (Neverwinter Nights 2 in particular)-I ended up rolling back to a earlier version to get all my games running again.

Great. I almost spewed water all over my keyboard. I DID laugh,though....
  21. Add me to the "train noise when logging in" list. Also have been hearing traffic noise (cars driving by) while standing inside missions,by the entry door.
  22. Ok,after a full evening of play-NO lockups! I was running the 196.21s AND I had my vid card set to what the documentation said it should be. Now the question is-was it the driver or the wrong card settings causing the problem? Was it both?? On the one hand,I am tempted to try the new drivers again and see what happens. On the other...the thing is fixed,I should leave well enough alone....arrrrg.
  23. I'll try a driver roll-back and see if that helps. (Thankfully,I keep the most recent releases on hand for stuff like this.) The Roland software is a old Virtual SoundCanvas program that I use with my Doom/Duke source ports-decent midi and better than what Creative can do. I think the patch I found for it may be the culprit here.
As far as my BFG card goes-I found something interesting on the Net last night. One of the forums I looked through had a thread about BFG way way WAY overclocking their products and sending them out that way. They recommended using Evga's Precision tool to check the clockspeed/etc of your card. I just finished running it this morning.Core clock was set to 700,the shader clock was running at 1700. Looking at the details in my docs,it says it should be 666/1512,respectively. I set both speeds down to what the docs say and am going to try that, too. Thank you for the reply,by the way.
  24. Had no issues with the game till this week. Bought a BFG GTX 285,installed it the same day as the patch and the game started locking up on me. I have only seen problems with City of Heroes, all my other games run fine. Oddly,I can get the game running again by dropping to desktop, waiting till the game minimizes slightly and then maximizing it again.
