  1. PSW does 85% of the damage it would be doing in permadom right?
  2. As long as it's a recharge intensive pet it should get the sets. Traps should have it available in acid mortar, TA in OSA (maybe), and dark in dark servant (lich does practically no damage also).
  3. Noxious gas is the best power in /poison, so using it with mercs/ will be hard since they aren't melee. Thug/psn works better.

    Robot/traps can solo GMs. Does it do the most dps? No. Ninjas do, but they are squishier and don't do much -regen.

    Steamy mist doesn't do -acc, hurricane does. But I'll agree that if you don't go with /TA go with /storm (which doesn't even conceptually fit in my mind...).

    People will say merc/ is the worst primary and /ta is the worst secondary (which they are), but they are definitely not the worst combination of primary/secondary. Do eet!

    OSA is a godly damaging power. No other secondary can damage AoE like TA.

  10. Before pain, my answer would have always been no, but you can have a constant 72.1% damage buff with pain and -resistance on top of that. I'm going to go with gloom/dark blast on my necro/pain instead of taunt because I should be able to far outdamage my pets (singularly) and keep any boss's or AV's attention on myself.

    and scourge is intentional? Electricity never did anything to no one. I prefer it the way it was (just by a little though).

    Powerpush in energy was a great change (along with the rest of the set). And lift in gravity. I look forward to testing everything out tonight.

    Who needs healing when your pets (outside of the arsonist) rarely die anyway? And the problem of pets not entering a burning oil slick, well with thugs you (mostly) don't want them in melee anyhow.

    It'd be okay, but not as synergistic as merc/TA (you get mez protection).

  18. Earth/fire. Earth is a very high control set. You won't notice much difference at 16, but you will at 18 and up. If you solo mostly, I'd go mind/elec, grav/elec, mind/fire, or grav/fire.
  19. 1. Plant/thorn is best for groups, but it'd work just fine for solo. Thorns is pretty much a different version of spines, so it's not as unique as MM sets. At 39 you'll solo great.
    2. If you are soloing, ST immob.
  20. I'd say dominators, they can be incredibly high damage (with large investment). If you want something high damage for the very beginning I'd suggest going earth/fire. It also has high control to keep you from getting killed, it's flashy and it's thematically fitting. I'd admit it's mainly a team and not solo friendly powerset though so onto my next suggestion! Gravity/electric assualt. It's thematically fitting and it is excellent for single target damage and has great single target control (crappy AoE control). It's melee/range like blasters too.
