I'm glad your SG is wonderful. It does make me wonder why -- if it's so super -- that you feel the need to come to other servers to post an advert for it?
-
Ugh. Hate change. Give me a few days to get accustomed to it.
-
WHy don't you just link it to the stuff in the base forum? Much more comphrehensive.
-
Try Triumph Watch 2.0 or Triumph Watch 2.1.
-
LOL - is there a uniform that comes with this?

Is anyone surprised that the Alt_oholic is here insisting everyone play the game just like he does? He's right, everyone with a differing opinion is wrong?
No? I didn't think so.
I think the issue here is again, what defines "abusing the system"? If people are using as it was set up to their benefit, that's not abuse. That's playing smart (if big XP is what you are after). The developers put in the SK system and determined it's values from the get go. It's been in place for YEARS and now all of a sudden, it's abuse? If they choose to re-evaluate the rewards that bridging entails, so be it, but abuse? That's a stretch. -
So, I was down at Comicon today and went up to the panel for COH. After discussing their history as a game and company, Going Rogue, and a few other tidbits, Positron asked the crowd, right before the Q&A to indicate by their applause their vote on the question "If we could get rid of bridging, would you want us to do it?" The yes's were louder than the few of us who opposed.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't PL. I never have, never will. But if someone has a burning urge to level as fast as they can, why should I care? Especially with the new difficulty slider coming up. I think it's a shame that there's now a specific way one should play in order to be a part of this game. I don't understand the need of the dev team to continue to alienate players who pay just as much as everyone else does.
On a side note, Going Rogue (what little they told us) sounded like it'll be really good. -
I'll try to come out. What shall I bring?
fire/em; fire/elec; ice/dev blaster
earth/storm; fire/kin; ill/TA; grav/therm troller
db/wp; bs/da scrap
bane
fort
ss/ea; stone/invul brute
necro/dark
rad/rad corr
No one is built for this version of PvP. Only a few are totally IOed out and some are hybrid builds. -
Thanks so much for having me along, Shard! It was fun!

Well, honestly, I blame a lot of our SG leaving due to boredom, Baba. With 2 issues of essentially no new shinies, everyone went on to new stuff. Sure, the MA was fun, but it was just a rehash of what we've all done a hundred times before. Try not to take their frustrations too personally. Its really not about you at all.
There are a lot of people on these forums with their own agendas. And many with their own personal beefs to air. Cath hates the doomsayers about the MA. The Alt-o-Holic has his own personal crusade about farming and goes into every single section in the forum to drop his two cents.
The truth is, a lot of the new people getting into the game know nothing else BUT the MA. If they are using it and getting their fun from it without ever going elsewhere, that's their choice. There's nothing we can do about it really, except maybe laugh and scoff under our breath. -
Bartle Test of Gamer Psychology
I stole this from the Protector forum.
Me? I'm am Explorer with a secondary equally dispersed (47% each) of Achiever and Killer. -
Well, I guess it's kinda cool. I'm sure it'll really excite some people. I wish I was one of them.
How many Yellow Snow ice theme toons do you think will be running around?
official announcement -
You could use an oro flashback mission and disable travel.

I'd like to thank everyone who showed up for and participated in the Player Auction and Raffle.
Mod8 went for 300 million. We accumulated 480 million for the raffle and the prizes went to Zerule, Snow Globe, and SmaX Punks.
I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. -
LMAO just admit it, you were wrong. Silly Rikti trying to steer the conversation away from his error!
The tournament was set up as a server vs server event with finals on Test. Did any of the people playing care? Maybe not, but we were still proud of them. -
If my memory serves me, it was Shocker, Avid, Squints, Cinder and Strike, wasn't it? Last I checked, they all were based on Triumph at the time.

Just a reminder! This is tomorrow!

Are you referring to when OS won the PvPEC Super Mixed Pentad? That was a pretty exciting match!

*singing: "Memory/All alone in the moonlight..."*
Wow, there's a lot of cool stuff that's happened over the years here in the game and on Triumph.
My list in no particular order:
1. Our first two base raids with Alpha Team. None of us PvP'ed, none of us knew squat and we had the greatest time ever! I can still hear Pyrecat crying about how my stormie kept his fire tank pinned to the wall of the infirmary where we found him trying to take out our rezzer.
2. Heather's Turkey Hunt in WB: It was kinda bittersweet actually. It was a big event at Thanksgiving and ExLibris and Niviene came out to be guest turkeys! Sadly, it was one of our last events before i13 came out and made events like this pointless. The Christmas event the year before with Lighthouse and Ex was a good one too. We had fun coming up with PvP/holiday titles! "I Will Sleigh You" for example. It's always super gratifying to host an event and have a ton of people show up (even if it's just for the titles).
3. An SG LRSF victory. We set this up, none of us ever having done it before, and picked up an extra brute to fill out the team. We got to the end and were doing the snipe method and it just wasn't working. Lots of death and finally the negative Nelly brute quit. From there we just amped up on vengeance and rushed the platform and wound up successful!
4. Our first Faathim TF. Again, none of us had done this before and the AV was destroying us. Finally, we worked out a decent plan and won the day.
5. The Haunted House on Test with the PvPEC. Okay, not a Triumph event, but it was so much fun! Especially when Ghost Widow made a guest appearance and dropped COT and GMs all around. It took me over a week to build the HH and people were super excited about being in it. I know a lot of people looked at base design and raiding in a whole new light after this event.
6. In Siren's Call trying to give my bounty to my pal, Evil Mystery, while on my mind/sonic. Or maybe the first time I was able to kill her? The unhide sound still makes me jump out of my skin.
7. My first few Eden trials. Back when it was actually pretty hard. Once you lost control of the spawns at the first wall, you could never get it back.
8. Winning a team FFA event with Psyrene while playing my necro/dark MM. I'm still not sure how that happened.
9. Playing the World War Mini finale and seeing a little "me" running around.
10. Annoying the crap out of Shocker with my never ending supply of web grenades in RV. -

With 138 characters with 2527 combined levels, I still find new experiences in the game nearly every time I play.

Yes, but as you've touted on many occasions, you're an individual. No one else is like you. Why are you expecting (or instructing) people to play and experience the game as you do?
