Travel powers that grey out other abilities are useless and a waste of time to make.

I think the idea is to make these things as stuff that can sell like hotcakes in the store. Kind of defeats that purpose if they only come out once a year. Especially seeing as prior to the recent new ones we've had how many in the last 7 years?

For the broomstick, whatever is easier for the animators.
If you force them to make these travel powers more complex, then we'd be seeing a new travel power once a year.
Sorry but if it's a choice between something that can't be used during combat and has an easier to create animation setup vs having he power appear in isssue 2343434, I'll say the dev team should take the easy road.
Some folks forget that unlike their Challenging Opposition THIS game's engine did not get an upgrade recently. -
Is the 8.75% stackable to 5? Cause if it is some of my toons WILL be getting these.

There's plenty of other stuff for us to be surprised by. Costumes, not surprisingly, is something that many people see as SRS BZNSS in this game.
As an aside, the reaction to the COT costume revamp reveals an amusing and deep-seated hatred that many who play this game secretly have for that other game .

By doing that, he's not just "the trainer no one talks to in Galaxy City" he's "that big dude who helped me out when I first started".
If he weren't in the tutorial and they killed him off in a later story arc, the new players won't have any clue who he is, because he won't exist in Galaxy City for them to see.
It has more of an impact when a character you are familiar with is killed off than it does when a character you've never seen before is. BaBs is a fairly iconic character in the CoH universe, redshirting him in a story arc without ever introducing him to the new players via the tutorial would be a huge disservice. -
My money is on Babs, Manticore, and Psyche in that order.
Psyche though would be silly easy to bring back. -

I MUCH MUCH MUCH preferred that Distinguished Comic's voiceovers compared to the Controlling Opposition's.
You can have cheesy for some characters like the Joker or Foxbat, not for the entire game. -

I've done it, but only because my team finished the crates and there were only 3 acids left to go, had just enough time to get into position with /e newspaper. I would never just stand there while everyone else collected temps though, bad form. In other words, its a pretty rare scenario that you can pull this off while still contributing.
Also, if you take off right after the cutscene, the AV doesn't aggro at all, its like the AV isn't "active" for the first few seconds or something.
Here's to hoping they replace those cutscenes with the new comic intros ASAP, the cutscenes in this game deserve all the mocking and bombing they can get.
SRS BSNS has nothing to with it. I take no issue with cut scene bombing in EVERY OTHER FREAKING cutscene in the game. Lambda is a different story as there is a chance the trial can fail. If you want to do whatever the hell you want during a trial, form your own league instead of standing around in Pocket D waiting for a handout.
To be honest with you the idiocy I've experienced from players wanting to do things their own way, has lead my leading trials to drop down to about once or twice a week. Don't have time to deal with people who refuse to follow instructions but then are too lazy to form their own trials.
Limited playtime means limited time to deal with tools. -

While, for In Character reasoning I would agree with that, OOC I have to say nay. For one reason; RWZ AE is the ONLY Co-Op AE available. I still think one should be put in PD, but apparently...well, theres SOME reason, likely having to do a zone re-design.
Just like Arena terminals are there.
