I will not be using the VIP server. For one, I have friends who are coming back to play as Premium players, and I'm not going to abandon my friends because they can't afford to have VIP accounts. For two, I don't want to start characters there because if I ever find myself in economic hardship I don't want to be locked out of my characters.
But most of all, Justice is home. The thought of playing anywhere else gives me the willies. -

Thanks all!
And yes, it has been that long. Seems surreal, yes? -
Quote:I have more than double that amount on multiple characters. I'm not insane; I just have a different definition of fun. I love the challenge of collecting badges on new characters. It's part of the leveling process, part of what makes a character whole and complete.I like making new characters but I really really hate the idea that I would need to get all those badges a second time. Anyone who collects badges knows that IT TAKES TIME and most of that time it is not specially fun. The amount of badges in the game is huge and in no sane person would collect them all to two or more characters. (I dare you to stay quiet insane people. I know you are there)
I'm baffled by the whole "it takes time" thing. Yes, and so what? This is something you do for leisure, yes? Your leisure is taking too much time? -
Sunday was my 7 year anniversary of playing City of Heroes. I don't have my Vet Reward yet because my billing got off by a few days a couple months ago.
Thank you all for being such awesome teammates, fellow players, and friends.I've had a lot of fun and can't wait for the next 7 years.

ATs I dislike:
Warshades
Brutes - Though I have one that's nearly 50. She's KM/SR and I'm woefully unimpressed with SR. Give me a resist set over a defense set any day.
Powers I dislike:
Stone Armour
FF on a Mastermind - Way too passive. Makes MMs a snooze fest -
Quote:They're boots. They're designed exactly like the Witch boots but with fur instead of bats.I'm hoping those aren't boots, just bottoms or bottoms with skin worn with standard boots. Barbarian high heels make no sense, but the character depicted doesn't look like a barbarian.
And all I can do is /em facepalm over them. Seriously art team, what the hell? -
The trick is to leave a slot or three open in one of your main power trays. That way, it automatically falls into the slot. Takes the guess work out of it.

There are two things that are near constants:
1 - People don't read. Don't read team chat, don't read the cartoon bubbles over people's heads, etc.
2 - In the same vein as above, people don't pay attention. They can't be arsed to see if they have an acid, let alone use it. And asking people in league or team chat to please use their acids is pointless because of point 1.
Sounds like you made the best of a bad, but sadly too typical, situation. I'm glad there are people leading raids that actually care about first timers having a good experience. -
This is last minute, but please put me down for Team 2. I'm bringing Cell Block Tango, my Brute.

Not liking someone != they don't have talent.
Examples:
I hate Andrew Lloyd Weber and I think "Phantom of the Opera" is the most overrated piece of crap to ever play on Broadway (well maybe second to "Cats"). Still, if I were to say he's a talentless hack I'm sure I'd have very few people agreeing with me. I think he has talent, but I also think he uses it to churn out garbage.
I could go on similar rants about country music, Thomas Kinkade, and Jeff Dunham.
Point is, not being able to understand, appreciate, or recognize someone's talent doesn't mean it's not there. -
Phantom has been home just over four weeks now, and he continues to make great progress. He's still getting used to being in the swing of things again, but over all has made remarkable strides.
He got to have his first CoH time since his accident over double XP weekend, and many of you got to team with him. He had a great time and was very happy to see people again.
I have passed along all the PMs and e-mails you guys sent to me when Phantom was in the hospital to Phantom, and he's been quite overwhelmed in all the best ways. His computer time is still rather limited, so he hasn't had time to respond to everyone yet, but he will.
Again, thank you all so much for your support and concern during this time. My entire family has been touched by it. -
You have seven kitties, or you clipped seven individual claws?
-
Broken Hallelujah, DP/EM Blaster - 40 to 50
Cell Block Tango, KM/SR Brute - 38 to 42
Foo Fu, Ninja/Ninja Stalker - 25 - 33
Erdekatze, Earth/Sonic Controller - 1 to 13 -
Thank you for making Sister Psyche a super hero and not a sex doll.

Put me as a maybe. Not sure what's going on Saturday.

Welcome! My SG isn't so active these days, but I'm always up for teaming

Winehouse wrote or co-wrote every song she put out, except of course the covers.

Phantom is all cleared to come home and ready to go! He has some therapy in the morning, and should be discharged after lunch time.
I've talked extensively with his caregivers over the last two days to find out what we need to do to make Phantom's at home recovery is just as good as his in hospital recovery was. He's going to be doing some out patient therapy for the next couple of weeks and following up with the family doctor and neurosurgeons.
Part of Phantom's at home recovery includes limited screen time, meaning limited time each day to watch television, look at a computer monitor, play hand held games, or even use his cell phone. Eye strain and eye fatigue are very bad for people recovering from brain trauma. Also, electronic stimulation isn't as helpful as other forms of stimulation. For instance, he'll get more out of playing cards than playing a video game at this point (even though part of his at home physical therapy consists of doing balance games on Wii Fit; it's just in small amounts). So while he's eager to get back and you're all eager to say hello to him again, it's going to be in small amounts at first. But please know that your well wishes have meant a lot to him!

Missi I got happy tears when I saw the name of this week's Sat Mat.
Phantom is so lucky to have an awesome online community to come home to!
I won't be able to join you for Sat Mat, but perhaps we'll be able to let Phantom pop on for a few minutes to say hello. -
I like them for different reasons. They're both very different in style and performance, and I think the comparison comes from both having lived fast and died young.
I always hoped Amy would pull through her addiction and release another album, but it didn't come to pass that way. I hope she has more peace now than she did when she was here. -
Quick update from my phone - Phantom gets to come home on Thursday!
