Kei grunted, not feeling the urge to correct the alien's stated ment that she was from this planet. Besides, he obviously was like the primate decended humans swarming this planet and mated as the urge struck. Not at all like the lupine decended do'odin who mated with one other for their life.
With the entrence of the robed draconian, her hand made a reflexive, but aborted summon for her bow. The being's resemblence to the demons who regularly attempted to invade Nu'une was uncanny, but since it had yet to attempt to destroy all in sight, she decided to give it the benifet of the doubt. -
"Heh," Kreigg barked at the blonde, "You could talk t'me, toots."
Kei blinked once before turning to look at Kreigg with a steady gaze, though the impact was likely lessend against a creature that didn't blink in the first place.
"That would be possible, but I would assume the tavernmaster would not appriciate cleaning your remains off the floor the next morning." -
She stalked down the street, the hood of her forest green cloak obscuring her features even as the leather and cloth clothing that was visable from the cloak clearly defined a humanoid female form. Making a sudden stop at the door of the Brown Dwarf, she looked at the signs with slanted eyes narrowed. Coming to a decision, she strode through the door, her very mannerism proclaiming her dominance of the ground she stood on.
Once inside, eyes of royal blue skimmed over the semi- to clearly non-human occupants before she nodded once. Slidding her hood down reveiled a narrow and sharp featured face with hair a brilliant golden yellow pulled into a pony-tail over ears as sharply pointed as her features.
"Good," Kei'Thera murmured, "None of those foolish round-ears her to annoy me." She looked to the woman with crystaline hair and addressed her. "I would seek a room for the forseeable future, is there someone I should address to resolve this matter?" -
((Well, if extradimentional counts as well, I guess I can add Kei'Thera to the mixing pot, she's shown up in Cosmic Chess and is a 'mage' but while looking predominatly human, is closer to 'elf' (Though if you call her that she gets annoyed... Stupid round-ears, like any race would allow another to name it... >.<

((lurker mode: OFF))
I love the Philsbots.Cooky, eccentric and a tad psychotic. The perfect comic fodder. As for the arc itself. It was pretty fun though the posts sometimes came too fast for my schedule to keep up with unless I wanted to sacrifice real world commitments... and that would shortly have me standing in front of the Captain in dress whites and saying a lot of "Yes sir's" and "No sir's"
:Sighs: Ok, since I posted here, I guess it's only fair to let my own style come under fire. :hides behind Essex-plushie: -
Maybe a Fire Blast/Cold Domination Corruptor? Would match their personalities fairly well too.
Sakura = aggressive 'kick the tires, light the fires' role
Miyu = hesitiant more supportive role -
Sounds fun, shame it's two hours before I get off work. That's not counting the fact I have to completely load the Training Room client as well. So, looks like I'll have to pass.

Facinating how this question get's asked at least once a month.
Yes, Virtue has a good sized RP community, though Pinnacle also has a strong presence as well. If you look hard enough, you're bound to find at least a small community of RPers on every server. -

1. Do you Role Play more than 90% of the time you spend playing COH?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... I'd have to go with yes. Mostly dependant on if the others in the coalition are on and I can RP off them.
[ QUOTE ]
2. About how many hours per week do you play COH?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure... about 40+. (Yes I have pretty much no life. It's work, sleep and CoH/V
[ QUOTE ]
3. About how many hours per week to you spend Role Playing in COH?
[/ QUOTE ]
See above.
[ QUOTE ]
4. On a scale of 1-10, how much do you think your primary toon is a reflection of yourself? (1 = your toon is not at all like you 10 = your toon is a lot like you)
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... about 4~5. Secondary, on the other hand, is me.So a 9.5 there.
[ QUOTE ]
5. Why do you like to Role Play? (Or why is Role Playing more fun than just playing COH?)
[/ QUOTE ]
Tough one. I enjoy the dynamics of interactions based off emotions and 'past experiences'.
[ QUOTE ]
6. Do you play any other MMORPGs? If so, do you Role Play when you play them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. While I have before, (WoW, SWG, EQ2, DDO) I've since canceled the account or otherwise left it inactive. The current RP community I'm with is far more fun then the other, non- to semi-RP, game communities.
[ QUOTE ]
7. To what degree does your Super/Villain Group (if you belong to one) encourage/discourage Role Playing?
[/ QUOTE ]
Heavily encouraged, that is the whole point of the group. Several SGs, some with a specific theme, all RP based.
[ QUOTE ]
8. If you are part of a Role playing Super/Villain Group, would your group have a problem with a non-RP-ing observer (tag-along) for an hour or so?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure, as long as they don't mind the ecclectic personalities and getting lost in a few minutes as we refere to older events regularly.
[ QUOTE ]
9. Can I follow-up with you with more (brief) questions either in-game or via a forum PM?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure. -
Stell would have sighed in relief once others showed up to help with the Kraken, but the instant they did, she shifted into her nova form for the greater power it provided.
---
As Jen entered the ward for those without serious wounds, as tired but still smiling face greated her.
"Hiya Doc, sweet to see you." Tam Khat started to wave from her position seated on a makeshift bed, but quickly winced as the aborted motion reminded her of her broken arm. "Dangest thing today, isn't it? For some odd reason, my regeneration seems.... broken." The catgirl smiled even thought her ears were flat against her head. -
As the Kraken tried to bring the building down, it was disracted by several bolts of gleaming energy slamming into it's back.
"Com'on ugly!" Stella cried, readying another proton scatter. "Face the Light!" The bolts peppered into the beast and succeded it pulling it's attention off the building and the hero inside.
Stella backwinged toward the park, continuing to toss her attacks while wincing from the toxic sludge the Kraken retaliated with as it laborouslly followed her away from the building.
That's it... keep your eye on the bright birdie... I really hope someone can help out soon. The Kheldian though as she boosted her essence to recover from the damage she had recieved. -
It had started like a textbook example of heroes at work. Recieving a random request for assistence against a planned Freakshow raid on the reactor, Stellarmare had joined to find a couple she had worked with before. Between the three of them, they had managed to uncover their depths of the Freaks plan and get the others in the team into their rythem. Fighting their way to the reactor was almost boring to the Peacebringer. The first several waves inside the reactor itself, while slightly more pressing due to the team dealing with incursions from multiple access tunnels, was procedding well.
Then things went to hell in a hurry.
The lights flickered and died, leaving the only light in the room eminating from her own Bright Nova form, the flaming hands of the blaster Nuk-m, and the reactor itself. It took her a second to realize that the radiation shields the team was supposed to have were no longer in evidence. Trition, the nanotech tanker was the first to fall under the onslaught off three Freak tanks as his nanodefence just... stopped. Nightengail was next as she rushed to her husband's side and tried to cast her healing spells to no avail.
All around the alien woman, chaos riegned. The Freaks seemed... lesser as well. Several of them just fell over in convulsions, as though the electricity they were so fond of was now running loose. However, they did not stop in their assault, indeed, they suddenly seemed even more desperate and fanatical about it. Slipping into her Dwarf form, both for the marginal resistence against the radiation and to try and pull the Freaks away from the core and her team, Stella stompped and roared at the crazyed cyborgs.
Two others in the team fell quickly. Xhan Xiu, the mystical martial artist suddenly found his armor of shadows gone, and, though his skills still remained, they were unable to make a dent in the heavily armored forms surrounding him. The kid Catain Catasrophy, the youngest member of the team, tried to make a run for the door, but was dragged down by a Jucier Cheif dying from his own voltage.
Then, as though things were not bad enough, the pounding the Freaks were giving to the core casing caused the highly unstable energy core to flicker. Stell's eyes meet Nuk-m's and they wordlessly realized what was about to happen.
They, and the whole island, were about to die.
"Go!" The mutant screamed at her. "You can still survive this! Get out of here!"
<But...> She telepathically tried to protest, but the core failed at that point. A wave of deadly energy washed over the fire-wielder and the Freaks around him. Instictively, Stell shifted her pyhsical matrix into the quantum band and the energy just went through her.
In seconds, she was hovering in the middle of a crater that was once Terra Volta island, the waters of Independence Port already filling it in and extinguishing the fires. And covering the alien's tears as they fell into the contaminated waves.
She wasn't sure how long she sat on the side of the steel frames of Valor Bridge, just looking at the smoke rising from the water and ruins, but it was a voice over her comm that finally snapped her out of it.
"This is Coldfire Kaiser! I'm stuck in Perez Park with two other heroes and we are pinned down by Kraken! We need assistance! We can't fight him alone!"
Wiping her eyes, Stellarmare launched into the air. Greiving would come later. For now, there was work to be done, a city to protect.
And answers to find. -
I did take Glowing Touch. It's nice to have a way to heal teammate during long, protracted fights, but yeah, you can wait a few levels. I do recommend slotting EndRedux in addtion to a Heal.
Still, the most use I ever got out of it was a four man team vs. AV Nosferatu and that was only when the stone tank started dipping into yellow and I was the only member who could heal others. (Also had a soninc/sonic Def and a WS) Still, most of the time I was blasting away. -
"Friend, if you're av'rage height, I'd rap'ly get a sore neck if an'one tall'r was 'ear." The teen grinned as she was lead into an ornate seating area and a table. Rachel hopped into the chair and jumped it forward to position herself appropriatly at that table.
"Babetta will be your waitress, and she will be by momentarily. Is there anything I can do for you now?"
"Well, f'r starters," Rachel leaned forward on one elbow as she looked up at Katarin. "You c'n loosen up. Your not gunna get inspec'ed at any moment 'ere. 'R if you do, I'd look for another place to work. Oth'r 'en that? Nah, I'm good."
Rachel looked over the room and its occupants. "In'trestin' folks." She commented, more to herself then anyone else. -
"Cool." Rachel grinned. "No need fer f'mal'ties. Jus' call me Rach." Bouncing the rest of the way in she stepped up to the podium and looked up, and up, and up a bit more. "Wow, your big." She stated, once more annoyed that she still had yet to break the five foot mark. "Table'll be cool, thanks Katty."

Nightrayne sat on the side of a building looking at a recent addition to 'her' neighborhood. The 14-year-old vaugely recalled seeing the sign back in her days on the street before the Council kidnapped her. However, like nearly every 'civilized' estamblishment, she had assumed they would turn the pre-teen homeless nobody away with varying degrees of politness.
Still, things were different now. She was a Warshade, bound with an alien warrior and more then capable of taking caring of herself. She was still homeless, but that was more because she was used to it. Biting her lip in thought, she finally gave a fatalistic shrug and jaunted down to streetlevel.
Taking a moment to settle her gray hair, sweatshirt and dark blue jeans, Rachel opened to door and looked in.
"'ello? You take walkins 'r I need to make a res'vations 'r somethin'?" -
The main room, by the window facing the lost Beer Truck
Though in general, just show up around 10EST and look for the big crowd, that's us. -
Not a problem, join the global channel(s) RP Congress/RP Villains and you'll get in touch with us no matter what server you're on at the moment. Or visit the website (rpcongress.com) and fish around there to determine if you'd like to join.

Also a fairly good precence on Pinnicle, though the villain side is a tad weaker as far as varity. We have meetings every Tuesday in Pocket D at 10EST. If you have a char on Pinnicle feel free to drop by.

Pretty nice guide. However there are a few errors and a few minor points I think rate mentioning.
Energy Flight/Combat Flight/Nova Flight. There's an inirtial glide effect for these powers that is highly noticable in the lower levels. This causes you to not stop where you want to and may (depending on where you wanted to stop) send you into agro range. It also counts as an action on your part and will interrupt glowie interactions. The effect tapers off in the later teens and nearly disapears beyond 20.
Nova's flight speed in not surpressed when attacking. This will make you readjust some tatics as holding the sidestep with launch you at full speed. You go totally immobile when exicuting an attack though.
Restore Essence will grant most of your health and roughly a third of your End, but the instant your Peeb lifts into the air, you're a viable attack target. While you can move once your toon lifts into the air, you won't be able to attack until near the end of the animation. The bigest problem with this is that you may very well get pounded back to the ground if mobs are around you when you rez unless they get distracted by teammates. -
Well, I can't say all, but we've a good sized coalition with several SG on Pinnacle, both hero and villain.
Even have a page here. -
Tapping her boot in annoyance, Kori glared at the No Signale displayed on her comm unit. Since awakening in this nearly empty room after a long day of reorginizing the rooms of her supergroups base, the Peacebringer had been attempting to call her friends with out success.
"Somebody's gone through a lot off trouble and offered little explaination." She murmered with another glare at the note resting on the bed. "I dislike fighting for some others ammusment, but it seems I am not being given a choice."
Spinning, Stellarmare stepped through the shifting landscapes of the portal and into a shattered landscape. Instantly taking to the sky, the alien warrior scanned about for any signs of life, hostile or otherwise. -
Hmm... intriquing to say the least. Though I guess Khelds aren't int he books huh? Shame, I love mine. Having had my fill of Eng blasters as Froststar got me to 50, and never being able to focus on a Scrapper, I'd have to go with my preferences being the Defender, the Tanker (just for something radically different) then the Controller.
Though in honesty, my playtime shifts as my workdays rotate throughout the week and weekend. Then there are times I would like to play my other cadre of RP girls. Still, the idea intriques me greatly. -
kill the hero, then you as you are obviously unfit to lead.
