Ive rolled out an Archey blaster. He's only 17 at the moment but indeed very fun to play. Archery doeesnt ONLY get an Acc boost, its recharge is stupidly quick and endurance cost seems very low. I've got elec secondary so i can blap effectively if needs be (already noticing the smashing and lethal resistant enemies). But it's a very nice set (shame about snipe being late at 18) and my build will be nearing completion when i get Stun Arrow so i can mez from distance then move in to blap range safely. I dont find the draw time a problem at all, i know a lot of AR blasters that seem to do ok with it, cant see how it's any different. With the very quick recharges you can have a whole chain of constant attacks from as low as level 6. Flaming Arrow and Explosive Arrow are nicely damaging and a welcome bit of fire damage to change from the Smashing - lethal.
I dont expect much from Rain of Arrows so won't be disappointed

IIRC isn't a Brute damage cap like 800%? So im guessing that would prtty much dominate anything.
I cant remember the figues, but wouldnt Aim+Buildup Total Focus be a larger hit on a single target than a nuke?

Hmmm yeah i had a look at Irradiate but didnt choose it because Darkest Night was also available. By it's description i guess it's not just an Aura but a PBAoE. How's the Range on it?

Hey gang, rolled a new alt today called Shnyet King who's Rad/Dark and a lil level 6.

Just a few questions really.

In nearly all the Rad power descriptions it says the attacks can bypass some defenses. Does this just mean thats its an inherently quite accurate set? and that for PvE purposes id only need say 1 SO of ACC slotting?

Any Rad primaries that are absolute mare's and shud b avoided?

The Dark set seems pretty cool, like the whole "need a target to res and heal" thing.
I like the Tar Patch Damage Resistence lowering, it helps get a bit closer back to blaster damage. Shame there's no way to enhance it apart from putting in slows so they stay on longer.....Will the DMG Resistnace lowering scale up with level so that when im up in the 20s its a much noticeable difference? because at the moment im only dealing in 1's and 2's difference.

That'll do for now, it's late. I may come up with more questions as you answer these with your big pulsating brains.

lol i wouldnt like to see that to be honest. Me and my SG pride oursleves on being the BEST and most IMPORTANT part of the team............and no not all Blasters are perma-debt.........just Fire ones
I do see where you're coming from though in that Blasters would probably be last to be healed in a Pentad team. If every1's on Red and the Empath has a single target heal available its probably going to the Tank or Controller...........then every1 else until we'r last. Unfortunately. But hey-ho thats the path we follow, thankfully i never have to see that cos i dont "attract death like fly to dung" i CAUSE death (arrests) like an elephant taking a dump on all the flies heads.

hey guys, rolled a few villains when i first got it, and they didnt appeal to me much (tried a MM and Stalker), but rolled a Corrupter tonight and yumyum, it seems pretty tasty. So next time im on i'll give some1 with invite privilidges a buzz. Can some1 list people who can invite so i can search for them, i havent been keeping up with this thread

Are those stats for Leadership 3 slotted or unslotted?

As far as i heard Rogue, it only doubles the Accuracy buff, not the damage.........unfortunately

I was going to start a new thread about this but this OP seems fine to do it in.

What is the boost of Assualt from the leadership pool on a Corrupter? is it negligible like a Blaster? or Useful like a Defender?
Just wondering if slotted it could go towards bridging that 25% gap.

I agree that this is a pain, but it'd have to of been in the 32-34 area that the "not killing anything" bit comes in . I team with an ice controller a lot, and we either alternate our "nukes" (my Nova, and his AoE "flash freeze" i think it is) or if its a particularly tough group we'll do both, so that he freezes first, and then i nuke, so they dont get blasted out of range cos they'r blocks of ice

Ah right cool, cheers Syn, I've been wondering how this works (im running a blapper type on the side at the moment. Do you just run Stealth or do you have Invis and drop it before you attack? And is Bonesmasher (or your equivelant strongest melee) your opener or do you start with crowd control?

Del-boy, it doesnt look like you'll end up with much control in this build. Unless you can pretty much perma-Power Boost (i cant seem to make it) and slot for knockback, and chain blasts with melee's to keep them on their bums. Up until 38 you'll be depending VERY heavily on Power Thrust, and hoping ur lucky stars on disorient effects from your melee. If you're gunna b blapping, ur running a dangerous game. Power Push is a good control. Stun can be good in a chain. and both have very quick activations.
Also you're taking Snipe 20 levels after it's available. Now i know it isnt in a PvP blapper's mind, but i find it VERY good in PvP, and just as a thought, i find it one of my HIGHEST knockback moves. You could theoretically get it, slot it with interrupt reductions and knockbacks and really go to town with it. I just think that for those 28 levels you'll struggle to have a good opening shot without Snipe if the mob's facing you. You'll be at half health before your first melee lands.
